The future is the result of society's collective actions and decisions, not just by one individual. It is the same as in multiplayer games, you cannot expect to arrive at the desired outcome without collaboration and coordination with all players in society. Similarly, you also cannot expect unanimity of thought and ideas, there will always be people with different takes and perspectives. nzmprmw
Individuality acts as a dividing force. Our uniqueness sets us apart from others. Genetic makeup, personal experiences, cultural background, socio-economic status, education, beliefs, and personal values contribute to individuality. And these lead to differences, our takes and perspectives on certain somethings, that ignite conflicts. And if that is so, our individual uniqueness has been the root of all problem all along.
Homogeneity is perhaps the key to true unity. Or when a threat bigger than our differences arise.
Those big words came from a man who had big balls of steel. He made a huge difference in the future and it was thanks to him that threats of World War IV were avoided.
"This really feels like a dream...", the man dressed in casual style, an aloha shirt and shorts, murmured, his gaze sweeping over the crummy gated house before him. He had three guards flanking him. szh
Who exactly is this man? In the future, he is renowned as the greatest president of Orapagos. However, at this moment, he is simply a newly elected mayor who has just received his first paycheck.
"This must be really important, sir. You left your youngest's birthday party.", one guard remarked. He continued, "But this looks like it's been abandoned. Is there even a person living in here...?"
"Yes, there is. A very important man.", the mayor answered, his tone filled with resolution and confidence.
The mayor leaped over the gate as if some hoodlum. Then, he looked at his guards, signaling them to follow suit. The guards replied with a look of disbelief. The esteemed Mayor Gordon, how could he do this?
"Sir, that's trespassing! This won't be good for your image if someone sees you!", one guard voiced his concern. yvvm
"Exactly, so come on in quickly before someone sees us!", Mayor Gordon responded with a wry chuckle, urging his guards to follow him. He made a valid point and the guards had no choice but to follow him.
They then entered the house and began to explore its interior. The room was covered in thick layers of dust, leading them to wonder when was the last time a broom had touched the house. Mayor Gordon even began to wonder if they entered the correct place.
"God, is this really where he lives? If I locked my youngest here for a week with a year supply of food and water plus internet, he'll still die.", Mayor Gordon jokingly told the guards, his voice tinged with disbelief and concern.
The guards themselves began joking, following their boss' failed attempt at lighting the tense atmosphere.
"If I stayed here for a day, I'd probably develop a new type of fear..."

"Weakling, I already developed fear for whoever lives in this house!"
"Hey, granny! We know you're in the corner so stop hiding and show yourself!" yzggormt
The four of them shared a moment of laughter, then they suddenly stopped. They came across a closed door, beneath which a faint blue light seeped out, casting an eerie glow in the dimly lit hallway. And there was sound coming from within the room.
Without hesitation, the mayor turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. A moment of his life flashed before his eyes when he saw a familiar figure on the corner of the room, engrossed in playing on his computer. The figure was so absorbed in the game that he did not notice someone had entered the room.
He did tell me his teenage years was very hard, but witnessing it firsthand is so hard to unsee. No child should be in this kind of condition.
The guards glanced at each other, then looked at their boss who seemed to be the most affected by what they see. They were thinking the same things, "Who is that child? Does boss know him? Where is his parents? Why is he so thin? He looks like he could die any moment, we need to get him out of this place."
Concerned, they moved closer to him, but before they could take a step forward, the boy realized there were four strangers standing inside the room.
He swiveled his chair to face them. He felt no fear and boldly asked them, "Who are you people?" uzgv
That is when Mayor Gordon confirmed that the boy is indeed the person he was looking for.
