Upon seeing the notification, I didn’t know what to say. Who would have thought that my curiosity would have triggered an additional mission and one with such a high reward at that?
Well thinking about it won’t get me anywhere. Putting the diary in my sack I continue to scavenge the room. In one drawer I find a folded map, opening it I see the whole area of what I believe so the entire area prepared by God for this … game.
I look through the map searching for all the supermarkets only to find that there is a total of seven. Taking note that ill need to find more landmarks to locate my current position I fold it and put it away.
Heading downstairs I hear someone yell from outside. Running to the room with a view of the road I see a man holding a shovel fending off a horde of undead.
I began to think of helping him but then thought of what could happen if I proceeded to help him. On one end he could help me find and take Emily to safety while on the other he may betray me or worse lead the horde to the house. then again having someone to slow down the zombies in a bad situation wouldn’t be so bad.
I opened the window and call out to the man. Hearing someone calling he turns to me and starts heading towards the house. I quickly tell him to go around to the back where there’s an open window. He proceeds to head back there so I go downstairs and wait outside the room for him ready for anything with weapon in hand.
Almost at the same time I get into a stabbing stand he busts through the door while panting. I quickly close the door behind him and tell him to help me move some of the furniture upstairs down to block the door.
Without saying anything he follows me, and we proceed to carry down a mirror stand two meters in length two feet in width and a meter tall in front of the door. Afterward, he leans against a wall, slides down and begins to rest. I just stare at him for a few minutes when we hear a bang on the door. He gets up quickly but realizing that it’ll hold for a while he calms down.
He then looks at me and introduces himself as Henry and thanks me for having saved him earlier.

Yeah.
Having asked that he stood up and said if there was anywhere he could rest. I told him to pick between the first two rooms upstairs while saying that I’m staying in the one farthest back. he nodded then left.
When I heard the door closing upstairs I turned to the door that was under constant banging which now showed signs of it and positioned my weapon as best I could and stabbed forwards with all my force. It slowed greatly by the door but still went through and I felt to pierce through something on the other end. I kept at it for a while until no more banging was heard.
I leaned on the wall to begin recuperating. A couple minutes later I felt much better. I went upstairs and noticed which room Henry picked by the trial of blood he left by dragging his shovel behind him.
I went to Emily’s room to ponder over what to do next.
First, I don’t know if I can trust Henry much less with me still being a normal human and him being armed with a shovel doesn’t help. Then there’s also the case where he finds out about Emily and he gets the same mission as I did and decides to take me out, so he can get the reward himself. The more I thought about it the more I was sure he wasn’t a variable I should leave alone if I wanted to carry out my plan of getting the reward for saving Emily.
Having made my decision, I grabbed my weapon and quietly exited the room heading to the room Henry was in. I stopped in front of the door and listened. I could quickly make out the noise of snoring coming from the room. Having confirmed that he was asleep I opened the door as quietly as I could and proceeded inside. I walked to the bed and stood next to his head. I raised the Halberd above my head aimed for his neck and stabbed down. It pierced his neck easily and then into the bed under him. I pulled it out with blood dripping from it and the area of the bed around his neck began to turn red from his blood.
The tattoo flashed three times. Opening it three different messages were displayed.
<# XIX has died>
Looking down at his had he was indeed number 19 so the notification was about him. The next message gave me a surprise I don’t know I should be happy about or worried.
< You have killed Player 19. Player 19’s 5IP have been transferred to you.>
On one end I was delighted that I could steal the points other players had earned by killing them but on the other if others got this info and decided to hunt other players it could potentially get me targeted by them. Realizing there was nothing I could do to prevent others from finding out since all it would take is two people fighting over food or water to find out, instead, I will get strong enough to where they won’t be a threat to me at all. The final message was a great surprise boosting my confidence on completing the Emily Mission.
< Secret: be the first to kill a fellow player. – 250 IP> < Requirements have been fulfilled, giving corresponding rewards.>
Opening my stats screen and seeing my IP which was initially 2 is now a whopping 258 I couldn’t help but break out laughing.
