Choose Your Path Part Two

The fourth class held in its hands a large tome, bound in white leather engraved with silver bindings. It had a short sword fastened to its belt and wore a leather jerkin with simple tuffs of fur around the edges. Its name appeared in the sky like the rest of them.

[THE ARCHIVIST]

The Archivists of the Tower consist of some of the most brilliant scholars ever to journey through The Grand Daleum. A masterclass of philosophers, professors, archaeologist and students of ancient tongues are found studying, and building up the Tower. They use their massive intellect, cunning wit, and extensive knowledge of The Ancient Tongue, a power that predates even the Gods themselves, to overcome adversity and continue their pursuit of the forbidden secrets of the world. I had no intentions in becoming an Archivist at first but the further I did my research into the game and the world the more this scholarly type of class started to interest me. I had heard about powerful weapons and ancient magic that only the bravest and smartest heroes would be able to uncover. If I wanted to become powerful, then perhaps knowledge would be a better pursuit towards that goal instead of simply raw power. It was a thought I hadn’t considered till now.

There were only two more classes left for me to view. I had decided, before I made the contract, that I was going to choose one of these two classes but now that I was here in The Grand Daleum and having to choose which one to start with it was a much more difficult choice. I stepped up to the class I thought would be my pick and tapped its name.

[THE CHAMPION]

The world of the Grand Daleum is full of darkness, monsters, and vile gods all seeking to end the lives of the people. The Champions of the Colosseum seek to find the strongest of these foes and test their meddle against their power. These barbarians of the arena charge headfirst into every battle, shouting their war cries, and swinging their battle axes. These giant among men use the greatest of weapons, the heaviest of armor and instead of magic they rely on their strength alone to fell the Gods and prove themselves the true warriors of the world. If you seek to prove your strength in the heart of war and to stand face to face with the greatest enemies, then take your Scars and become a Champion of the Colosseum.

The Champion was my initial choice for class pick when I started my research into Gods Felled Online. In the real world I was last to be picked for sports, never the tallest in class, and the butt end of most of the bullies' jokes. If I chose to be a Champion here in The Grand Daleum then I could finally have the strength to overcome any challenge and to face any enemy. I would be the one that others would run from as I cried in rage, swinging my weapons above my head and never being afraid again. I still had one more class to inspect before I make my decision.

The last class had on a similar outfit to the Archivist, but the leather jerkin was a deep brown with seams of green and a layer of chainmail under its vest. A low hood covered the head, and it wore a half-face mask covering up most of its shadowing features. It held a long-curved bow and was equipped with a quiver of arrows. On its shoulder was a menacing looking bird of black and grey feathers, a long silver beak and eyes as red as blood.

[THE FALCONER]

Beyond the safety of the city walls there are few who would be brave enough to venture. The Falconer’s Guild are those who dare take on the challenge of the deadly wilds. They are the first to seek new lands and new enemies. They are the watchers in the woods and the scouts of the kingdom. They seek refuge among the trees and fight their enemies from a distance. They are allies to nature and create special bonds with the Falcons and their magics. If you seek the dangerous path of the unknown and wish to be at the forefront of adventure, then make your Bonds with the Falcons and become a Falconer.

With the final class inspected I stumbled back to the center of the inky pool. Looking out at all of the different options. It was tougher than I thought it would be. A lot of the classes really stood out to me, others that I never considered suddenly came to a new light. This was going to be my first true choice in The Grand Daleum and now was the time to make it.
