Hey guys, me again.
Wanted to let you know I wanted to start changing the way I release and the words per chapter per release. I plan to release regularly on Saturdays unless something unexpected pops up than without doubt it should be released Sunday. As for the chapter length I am going to write as much as I can per chapter as I feel they are too short for weekly releases. Thanks for reading and if you have any comments, concerns, or input about the story leave them in a comment below I read them all.

"Let the slaughter begin."
Looking around I see a number of guards reaching for their sword; the maids seeing a fight was coming started to run away. I did not care for the servants only the guards, as they started approaching me slowly I transformed both my hands this time since there are more guards. The guards seeing my hands morph had looks of shock, and before they could recover I once again used my gravity rush ability and faster than they could see appeared in front of them.
Using both my transformed hands I quickly, and without mercy cut the throats of the first 2 nearest guards. No bothering to wait for them to collapse I quickly move onto the next kill. In total there was probably around 25 guards none of which put of any sort of fight as I was too fast and efficient with my movements for them to stop me. As I had finished the last one a skinny man walked out of the mini-castle; in his hands was what looked like a large walking stick with an orb atop it. He was using it to walk as he looked around at the dead guards then at me with their blood on my clothes. His eyes flashed with a cold light.
He raised his staff pointing it at me with his lips moving very slightly, and as his lips stopped the orb on top his staff flared with a red light and a burst of fire was sent flying at me. I was a little surprised as this was the first time I have seen magic. I was curious about it strength and weakness, and the most efficient way I could think of to get the information would be the mage that shot the fireball. So I changed my mindset from kill to capture.
The old man though a mage seems to be physically weak, so without even using gravity rush I dashed forwards. As I got within 2 meters out of nowhere a wall of fire came into existence causing me to have to come to a dead stop or be burnt. I could not see the old man through the fire so I had no idea what he was up to. After a quick few seconds of thinking I decided to run right, and I dashed out at full speed still not using gravity rush, but this time I did not because gravity rush is only good for straight charges with no turns. But as I took a few steps from behind the wall again a fireball was instantly shot brushing past igniting a small part of my clothes which I ignored and swiftly back away from the old man.
As I got more than 3 meters away the wall of fire dispersed leaving the ground scorched black. For the first time in countless years someone almost landed a hit on me. I would even say he did land a hit as the fireball though was a glancing hit the heat it produced caused a little burn on my skin. As I was inspecting my arm after putting the fire out I look towards the old man, and as our eyes met he spoke for the first time saying.
"Child I do not know who you are or why nay never mind why, but how you where able to get in here and kill the guards. But I am the court mage for the Mallors, and upholding my pride as a mage I will not let you leave here alive even if you are a child."
A little annoyed about being looked down upon I replied back in a sneer.
"Mage I have use of you so I will not kill you, as for information about me I will tell you now where everyone can hear so I do not need to repeat myself. I am the son of Ellan Moore, and yet to be given a name. As to why I am here it is a single reason mother was in pain because of father's death, and the one that organized it was the pig noble Mallor. He even had the galls to try to claim her as his toy. He has been dealt with, and now I am just erasing completely the start of mother’s pain simple really"
Without waiting for a reply I started letting myself fall forwards this time I plan to end this quickly I only need him to be alive and able to speak so using gravity rush and all the power I can muster from my legs I spring forwards. Again the wall of flame appears, but I am already in front of him before it fully forms 2 meters back. Quickly circling him I slice both legs under the kneecap forcing him to his knees I then proceeded to disarm him taking the staff for myself as I am quite curious about it.
I did not plan to interrogate him here as I wanted somewhere a little more secluded; So I knocked him out with a strike to the back of his head causing his brain to shake and him pass out. Grabbing him by the back of the neck like a kitten I carried him to the carriage and deposited him there. Walking back towards the mini-castle like building I was wonder what to do with it. I did not want it I felt more comfortable at mother’s manor, and I did not want someone to take that pigs place so I decided to destroy it.
The only problem was how I was going to destroy this mini-castle as it was mainly made of rocks and stones. Thinking of all my techniques whether marital based or energy based I had a few that could do the job, but they required more strength and energy than I could currently produce. After a minute of thinking I came up with the perfect solution. It was the staff in my hands that the mage was using, though I had no idea what he used it for maybe it was able to cast the spell or maybe enhance the spell the user cast I did not know.
I did know that as soon as I touched it I felt energy in it, and quite a good amount. I did not know how to use magic, but this energy in this staff which I am going to guess is mana feels like I can convert it into the energy of the universe that I use. Taking a bit of the energy from the air I surrounded the staff with a thin layer, and started to compress it. As I compressed it I slowly used the walls energy to change the mana to energy. I stopped when it was the size of my 2 hands together, and waited for it to finish the converging.
When there was no more mana and all energy I no longer had to compress it with the wall as I could control the energy at will. Walking towards the castle with energy floating above my palm I realized I might need to do a little more or else it would not be completely destroyed. So I started to pull of the energy to a single point above my finger till you could barely see it. I could feel the power it had though; It was quite frightening even for me it was very unstable when this much power was condensed, especially because I never actually used this much power before. When I take energy from the air the amount is puny compared to the amount that was in that staff. When I reached what I felt like the center of the mini-castle I used the energy to enchant my vocal cords and with a booming voice said.
"To all those in Mallor residence I am giving one warning leave now or perish with this building and all that is inside."
With that said I gently set the condensed energy afloat with it slowing descending. Not waiting a second longer than necessary I ran as fast as I could out of the mini-castle right to the carriage where the mage was still passed out. Giving the command to return me home to the carriage driver we started heading back home. As we were passing the gate to leave behind us there was a loud boom and a gust of wind that blew outwards, and to my shock there was a large force that started pulling us back towards where the mini-castle was located. Before the carriage had been damaged and the horse hurt just as fast as it happened it stopped.
Quickly ordering the surprised driver to start going again if he wishes to live he started back towards home. I just stay there going over everything in my head; I had actually never done that before as the required energy needed was too much to be useful in battle I would have to get into my meditation position for who knows how long to amass the amount of energy I got from converting the mana in that staff into energy. Its effect was even more surprising I expected the explosion, but I did not see the implosion that came afterwards coming.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
I will really need to be careful if I ever use that again, as I might get sucked in if I was too near. I also should come up with a name for it as that was the first time I used it, thinking about its effects and requirements I think Black Hole would be appropriate. Finishing my inner thoughts I notice the mage is starting to wake up. Before he does anything I hit a few pressure points to immobilize him to prevent any annoyances. When he comes to full consciousness I can tell he was trying to move without any results he seemed panicked until he looked at me. Then all I saw was dread in his face, like he saw a monster which I guess is a little true sense to anyone, besides mother I am a freak of nature.
The pressure points I hit stop all movement including talking so he cannot cast any spells. Though I do not know if he can cast without his staff or not. Ignoring him I start meditation to pass the time in the carriage. Before long we arrive back at the manor hoping out the carriage I once again grabbed the mage by his neck, and sent the driver on his way wherever that is. Mage in hand I open the door to the manor, and firstly look for mother.
Seeing as how I told her to take a bath so she could relax, I figured she would be in her room so that was the first place I went. To my pleasure mother was in bed with Jane by her bed-side. Before I walked in I had set down the mage against the wall. I walked to the end of the bed, mother was sleeping while Jane just looked at me I nodded to her and she gently woke up mother. As she came to and her mind became re-focused she stared at me until she finally realized she wasn't dreaming and leapt up and gave me a hug saying.
"My son what have you been doing? Look at you there is blood all over your clothing, what have you done my son?"
I gave her a short explanation saying I destroyed everything to do with the Mallors, and that she can retake fathers lost position. Though I avoided giving details mother is not stupid, and almost instantly realized the real meaning behind my words. She gave me a stern look and told me.
"My son why do you try to hide what you did with words I am not a flower that will whittle away so easily I know how this world works. You killed them all yes?"
Knowing lying was not going to work, and hoping mother would not change her view at me I responded.
"Yes mother I have slain the Mallor noble, and all his guards that came here. I used his driver and carriage to find his residence where I disposed of the rest of the guards and destroyed the residence as I did not want someone like him to be replaced."
As I was speaking mother staring at me attentively seeming to notice how I felt after I finished speaking she pulled me back into a warm embrace. It was the warm and loving hug mother always gives me, after we finally parted from the embrace mother spoke to me.
"I will not say I am happy you took all those lives, but I understand why you did what you did and it makes me extremely proud of you. Mother will always love you so do not ever think you will scare me away my son."
With a smile on my face I reply back.
"I thank you mother the love you show me I feel I am undeserving of, but I will try to live to become a man that is worthy of it. That aside mother when I was at the Mallor residence a mage attacked me; you said you did not know much about magic so I thought I would have him tell me. Do we have a place I can use to detain him till I have the information I want?"
Mother seemed to think for awhile with her finger on her chin, after awhile she made a face like she thought of something and said.
"In the basement we have a holding cell though it is has been unused for years since your father took over."
Thankful that we have somewhere I replied back with a smile.
"Thank you mother I will bring him there now, you should get some more rest as my recent actions might cause you some problems."
Mother nodded at that Jane was still quiet on the side of the bed not speaking at all throughout mother and my conversation. Walking out mother’s room I picked the immobile mage back up and carried him down to the cellar to where mother had said the cell was. Upon seeing the cell I could only describe it as bare. There was nothing in it besides a basic wooden chair the walls floor and ceiling all stone, and the door made up of iron bars. I placed the mage in the chair and closed the iron bar door releasing the pressure point allowing the mage to move and speak again.
Right after I undid his pressure point before he could speak up I said in a cold voice.
"You will not speak unless asked a question. You have some information I would like you will provide it willingly or unwillingly."
My tone reinforced the fact that it was not a request but a demand. The mage though replied with yes, and I instantly slapped him across the face and spoke.
"I said do not speak unless asked a question, that was a command you did not have permission to speak."
The mage in a state of shock and pain simply nodded this time which I replied with.
"Good, now first question mother knew nothing about magic when I asked, and I could not find anything to do with magic in any of the books tell me how this magic works."
Without hesitation he answered my question.
"Magic is very rare on the outskirts the people who are born with magic tend to live in the central city or move on towards the main dimension seeking to grow stronger. The main reason mages are rare is because the amount of mana people are born with is below the most minimum need to train in magic. To cast a spell a mage uses his internal mana to influences the elemental mana in the world to give it focus and a purpose."
Seems interesting, I will need to figure out what connection the energy I use and this mana mages use have in common. Also I wonder if I can use energy to interfere with a mage's mana so that they cannot cast spells. Well before getting ahead of myself I need to find a way to sense mana at a distance. I could sense the mana that was in that staff earlier only when I was in direct contact. Which reminds me I need to figure out what that item was so I should ask the owner.
"That staff with the orb you pointed it at me before releasing your magic what is its purpose."
He seemed to hesitate for a moment before resigning himself and telling me.
"It allows the user to control more external mana that they normally could, by sending your internal mana into the orb it will increase it and allow you more power than normally could."
Nodding my head I understand it's use, it seems like a powerful tool saying to myself out loud.
"Good thing I destroyed it"
As soon as I said that the mages face became very ugly and he shouted out.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DESTROYED IT THAT WAS AN ARTI-"
Before he could finish I slapped him with all my power snapping his neck, he fell to the ground dead. I picked up the body and brought it upstairs and outside where I once again dropped it on the ground and like I did for the nobles I kicked it in the same direction. I got the answer I needed so his worth became nothing. This was the first time this body was in combat, and I seem rather fatigued so I quietly head upstairs into my room to sleep.
