Messengers were immediately sent to the Eternal City, Redmound, and the nearest Free City of Furem to warn them of the incoming invasion. It wasn't like they needed any warning. They already knew about the incoming invasion, the messengers were simply a formality.
While the Theocracy was ridden with panic and uproar of the of world quest, Theo was relaxing on his own bed in the personal chamber that Sara gave to him. Ed got his own chamber while Vivi slept next Theo. There was also the priestess that Sara mentioned, but it was only a quickie.
Theo grabbed a few strands of Vivi's deep violet hair and brought it near his face. He closed his eyes and immersed himself in the sensation. The fragrance she used, filled his lung. Her breath hitting his bare chest and her small breast pushing against his body. It was quite a blissful morning for him, especially after the clusterfuck of a night it was before. He looked at her. There was no longer a collar on her neck. He didn't need it anymore, nor would it do anything. Though she also told him that he shouldn't throw it away. In case she wanted to have a kinky play.
Suddenly, her face turned towards him. Her violet eyes were opened, albeit still dazed after a short sleep. She pulled her body so that her face was in front of Theo's, and lightly kissed him."Good morning Theo-Sama." She said with a smile.
"Morning Vivi." He replied. A smile also appeared on his face. Her face was really cute that morning and her eyes were especially charming for some reason. "You're not charming me using your magic are you?"
She looked surprised at first and tilted her head, but then returned the smile. "You're the one who charmed me Theo-Sama." She kissed him again, deeply this time.
Theo hugged her. "There's something I want to ask you, Vivi. It's about last night, about the Chosen One."
Her eyes went wide open. "Oh. I guess after all that I did last night, you deserve some explanation."
"Is there something you're hiding from me?"
"No. It's just......... It's something that I forgot to tell you."
"Let me guess. It has something to do with your previous life?"
"Yes."
"Tell me."
"It's going to be a little bit hard to explain."
"I'm all ears. And we still have until noon before we leave anyway."
"Hmm.... Where do I start? Remember about the game that I played before I came here?"
"The one that you... Crashed or something. Yeah."
"Well, Inside that game, I have a friend, a guy. We're close."
"He's The Chosen One." Theo guessed.
"Well, yeah. But not exactly. The appearance of the character he played as, is the exact same as the Chosen One. But considering my appearance right now has no resemblance to my original look or my character appearance. I doubt that The Chosen One is him. It's not impossible though."
He caressed her hair. "Do you miss him?"
"Not really... I mean, It's a bit complicated. I want to meet him, talk about this crazy world and the crazy power that I got and about you. But at the same time I don't really want to meet him."She clicked her tongue. "Well, It's complicated."
"Well-" A knock interrupted him.
"Theo, it's me." Ed said from outside the door.
"Are you alone?" Theo asked.
"Yes."
"Come in, it's not locked." A mischievous smile appeared on Theo's face.
Ed opened the door. He froze the moment he saw Theo's and Vivi's naked bodies. 1...2...3...4...5... His mind worked again and his face flashed red. He slammed the door shut. "WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING IN THE MORNING?!"
"Something that you'll never do anytime soon." Theo answered in a mocking manner. He then laughed hard.
"A-Anyway. High Priestess Sara called you to her chamber, Alone. Do-don't take too long."
Theo looked at Vivi. "I have to go now."
Vivi kissed his cheek. "We can start doing it again tonight."
Theo smiled and kissed her back. "Can't wait."
---------
He knocked the door. "Sara, it's me, Theo."
"Oh yes, do come in."
When Theo opened the door. The view was like what he had expected. An angelic figure sat on a chair next to the table in the center of her room. Even though Theo knew about Sara personality, he couldn't help but be fooled every time he saw her like that. The impression only lasted a moment.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He sat opposite to her on the table. On his side of the table was a glass, filled with milk. He stared at it with a disdainful stare. When he looked at Sara again, the face of the devil has been revealed.
"The milk, what are you trying to say?"
Annoyed look dawned on her face. "Motherfucker, why are you always assume I'm up to something? You should drink milk sometimes, it's good for your health you ungrateful bastard.... Now drink it bitch."
Theo sighed and picked up the glass of milk. He brought it near his lips, but hesitated. He took a deep breath, then drink all of the milk in one gulp. His stomach lurched and he coughed hard, almost vomiting the milk he had just drank. Sara clapped her hand in a mocking manner. "Good boy, finally you learn to hear a piece of advice."
Theo wiped his mouth, but the sudden urge to vomit still made his breath chaotic. "What did you put in that milk?"
"Nothing, just plain milk that you have always~ loved. Seriously though, what the fuck are you expecting drinking a glass of milk like that in one fucking gulp?" She tilted her head. "I thought years of ramming your cock down on girl's throat is going to teach you a thing or two about gag reflex, I guess I overestimated your learning capability."
"Why did you call me?"
"Do I fucking need to have something in mind for calling you here? Can't I just call my handsome and beloved champion?"
Theo's shoulder slumped down and he let out a defeated sigh. "You know I don't have much time. I have to-"
"Pick up Lyana, I know. Since God Ketu himself told everyone that this invasion is dangerous, the Asshole and bitches decided to send envoys to each military garrison."
"I go with you, right?" Sara nodded. "So are you going to help Amaryn, Empire, or the Free Cities?"
"I'm going to help the kingdom." Sara raised her hand before Theo could interrupt her. "I know what you're going to say. No, princess Aria hasn't given an arrest order for you. You don't have to worry going to the kingdom's military camp. They are still going to consider you as the hero who saved princess Ana, and now you're going to be the hero who stopped the fire realm invasion."
"Why? Why doesn't she tell the people what I did to her?"
"What do you expect her to say? 'Oh! The Hero that saved my sister assaulted me and foiled my plan to overthrow my father! He also killed the crime boss that I work with!' No fucking way. She has too much pride to even admit that she underestimated you. And after Wrath's death, the Justice system is once again controlled by Ana's faction, so Aria couldn't just manipulate it to her desire." Sara tapped the table. "Anyway. You said something about knowing the leader of the Fire Invasion."
"I have no concrete proof, but I have a few hints. The World Quest's name is 'stop Calamity' while in the description, instead of using calamity, it used disaster. Meaning that Calamity is not used as the synonym for disaster, but refer to a name. Coincidentally, or not, there's a Fire Lord, one of the leaders of Fire Elemental that have the name of Calamity."
"And what do you know about this 'Calamity' dude?"
"Girl." Theo corrected. Sara raised her brows and let Theo explain. "I don't know much. But I know that she's one of the most powerful Elemental out there. Her level is 150 or 160 or something."
Sara's eyes went wide open. Even she didn't expect that level of power. "150? Roughly 4 times stronger than Arslan." She mumbled. "The fact that you haven't run away from all of this means that you have some way to deal with her, right?" Sara asked.
"Of course. I don't want to use it since it's a memento of my father." He shrugged. "But what can I do?" Theo picked up something from his special back pouch and put it on the table. "Here it is."
It was a miniature hammer.
Sara picked it up and observed it closely. It was made of pure gold, but the accumulated dust has made the color dull. There was a strong magic contained inside, but not enough to defeat a level 150 Fire Lord. "And what the fuck are you going to with this?"
"It's a trade secret. Believe me, you better not know what it does."
Sara stared at Theo, annoyed. "Fuck, whatever, as long as you stop the invasion."
Theo looked at Sara in surprise. It was rare for her not to push for an answer."You know. I'm curious why you act so calm and composed. You have a backup plan?"
A mischievous grin appeared on Sara's face. "No."
He took the miniature hammer back from Sara's hand and put it back. He didn't have any problem telling anyone how his trump card work since he was the only one who could use it anyway, but Sara had him on a leash. If he told Sara how it works and she realizes how powerful it was, she might manipulate him to use it for something else. For now, he preferred to not tell Sara anything.
"Well, I have to go now." He turned.
"Wait." Sara stopped him. "There's something else you want to say?"
"Yes. It's about Ed. Thoros said he has a dream, a prophecy. About a great fire that threatens to consume the world. And a dragon that stopped it. Ed is THE dragon, he is a Protagonist just like The Chosen One. Now a great fire threatens to consume the world. All of this.... Coming here with Ed, The appearance of World Quest when we are here. Is this all truly...... A coincidence?"
Sara raised a brow. "I don't remember you being someone who believes in prophecy and destiny."
"You said Mary changed me. Maybe this is one of the changes."
"Maybe, God Ketu works in a mysterious way." Sara squinted her eyes, realizing what Theo truly meant. "Don't worry about it. You and Ed are one party and you're the party leader. Even if it's Ed that stopped the Fire Invasion, you'll still get a lot of credit since he's still a rookie and looks like a kid."
Theo sighed in relief. The last thing he wanted was to compete with Ed. "Well, I have to go now."
-------
Theo walked through the Saint Sieg courtyard, followed by Ed and Vivi behind him with their short legs. Their feet were rapid. They had packed everything and were ready to leave the city, if not for one little disturbance.
"THEO GLADIUM!" Someone shouted his name out loud.
The source of the sound was a devilish charming young man with blazing crimson hair and ultramarine eyes. Behind that man, four attractive women were standing.
"Uh...Who are you again?" He asked.
The man raised his eyebrows and laughed. "Good jokes Theo Gladium. You know how to get on my nerve." The man turned to look at the four women behind him. Theo was not joking, however. He didn't know the Chosen One name and calling him 'The Chosen One' every time was impractical.
The Chosen One rubbed his chin. "I mean, who could forget this handsome face, right?" He tapped his own chest and pointed his finger at Theo. His playful face turned serious. "Theo Gladium! I, Setanta! Declare you as my sworn rival, in any and all aspects! May the best between us be the one to stop the fire invasion."
His word carried heavy weight and charisma that those around them stopped moving and began clapping. Even Ed was clapping and Vivi's eyes were filled with amazement, much to Theo's confusion. 'Why the hell is everyone so amazed at that lame ass declaration. Even Ed?'
"Whatever." Theo answered. He turned and walked away. He didn't have time for his little rivalry.
