Hue had spent many hours rolling around in virtual grass. Part of that was because, while the VR-suit program expected inputs relating to the angles of limbs, Hues mind instead sent out how much to contract muscles.
He had eventually gotten the hang of it by outputting his propioception instead.
After that, Hue spent a lot of time practicing movement.
It was about 5pm. Hue could still "see" the desktop, even though he was in-game.

Hue decided he had had enough. He brought up the menu screen.
Menu Settings Profile Logout
He went to press the logout button, but he couldnt.
Not physically, but mentally. Hue started to panic the more he thought about pressing that button. Of floating, of being squished. Without form.
Hue started to hyperventilate. His avatar started to move and twitch erraticcaly.
He sat down and rocked back and forth for a while. He would have cried, but the game designers hadnt put that in.
Another hour passed, and Hue calmed down enough to think rationally. He needed his own place.
Hue didnt have much experience building VR scapes, but he had done it a couple of times.

StopLine Game Engine
Open source game engine. DOWNLOAD
Hue downloaded StopLine game engine. He started up the program and started a new project.
First, he created a node for VR camera and set it up for boiled-water-vr integration.
Next, Hue downloaded another program.

All Software -> Animation -> CreateElf
CreateElf
A tool based on FoodCutter that allows you to create humanoid figures for games and animations. DOWNLOAD
Hue opened CreateElf and started to remake himself as close as he could remember. He pulled up a few photos from social media as a guide.
After a few hours, Hue was happy with how he looked.
Something seemed wrong though.
A few minutes later, Hue downloaded the "Realistic Genetalia" Resource pack.
Hue spent a couple minutes setting the sliders into the "correct" positions.
He exported the file from CreateElf and imported the file into StopLine and spent some time mapping the model to the full-body-VR api from BoiledWater.
There were a few things that weren't "standard". Hue mapped collision data from his body directly to his ./input stream. He hoped this would allow him to feel things.
Following that, Hue pulled up a page of 3D objects. It was time for furniture shopping.

First, he downloaded a house, and a few bits of furniture. He also found a beautiful mountain scenery.
Hue combined them into a scene in the game engine. He then created some collision data for them.
He decided it would be nice to travel around his new mountain home, so Hue downloaded a car, proving once and for all, that he would, without a doubt, download a car.
Without exiting the game he was in, Hue started up his new home.
Immediately, Hue could see both locations. It was very disorienting, so he finally logged out of the game.
Hue spent a few minutes looking around, while everything was nice, he had forgotten a few things. For one, there was no sun. Everything was lit evenly and there were no shadows.
As he was in debug mode, Hue could make changes through the editor and have them be mirrored, without having to reload.
After fixing that and making a few other changes, Hue was happy enough with his setup, that he compiled it, and added it to his startup scripts for his backups.
Hue had not been paying attention to the time, so his daily backup sneaked up on him not long after, and he was swept away into what now counted as sleep.
