"CHAPTER 4" [Thanks to you]

Bibi left as quickly as she had arrived, leaving Na without an answer. He was sure it was her, but why did she look... so different? Moreover, her ears, her tail, her body shining in a white aura...

- Is she... a Kemono?

Bibi stopped in front of the Longer's right paw and thrust the metal bar that served as her weapon into its middle. The Longer screamed in pain and deciliters of drool flowed towards her, but this time she avoided it. Her speed was no longer comparable to what she had before. Her movements were complicated to predict and impossible to see with the human eye. She jumped before she tensed up and charged her body with lightning. She stared at the Longer's giant paw in front of her with squinted eyes and when the lightning bolts went all the way through her, she started to run towards the monster. Bibi had only one goal in mind: to WIN. What she had to kill might be a level 6, her chances were minimal, but she had the chance to be what she was. If Na wouldn't have been there...

- Let's go home.

She reached the broken leg of the Longer and held her weapon in both hands. Bibi's body was lit up by her own lightning, her white aura and her determination. She forced every muscle in her arms and focused on the bone she had already partially destroyed. She attacked with power and the metal bar went through the leg. Pieces of flesh flew, disgusting purple blood flowed violently from the leg and the broken bone cracked. The lower part of the leg was now separated from the main body of the Longer...

And it fell to the ground, shaking the earth under its weight.

Bibi landed on the leg she had just cut off and tucked one of the chicken feathers into her hair. She twirled her weapon in her right hand and charged it with lightning. The faster she won, the shorter the wait. Before finishing this fight, she quickly turned her head toward the distant figure. Standing with difficulty, mouth agape and his eyes fixed. Na couldn't believe what he was seeing. This giant monster, with its sickening body and mastodon size, had just fallen. He didn't know if it was already defeated, but it was now lying head first on the ground. Bibi was so small compared to this monster... but she had managed to do so much damage to it. He forgot to breathe because the scene in front of him was so spectacular. His eyes admired the moment, even though he couldn't see Bibi properly. She was only a faint point of light in his vision, but she had managed to take down the giant who was their enemy. Na was so shocked by what he saw that he dropped the two small metal bars Bibi had given him. His body did not react anymore: he was too amazed.

Bibi turned her attention back to the fight in front of her. Hands grabbed her leg from the severed paw, but they clung to her with so little strength, desperately, that she ignored them. She dismounted from the paw and continued to charge her lightning weapon. The Longer screamed in pain as it shook its slimy head, slug slime spraying all around the monster. Bibi lunged for its head and leapt into the air with a thunderous sound. She raised her weapon before sighing and landed on the Longer, driving the metal bar into its head. She released the energy from her lightning bolts into the Longer... but it did nothing. She squinted and caught her weapon in her hands.

- !

Slimy hands came out of the monster's body and surrounded her. She waved her weapon and cut off all the hands. She barely had time to blink as the pieces of hands joined together... and formed a giant fist. She turned her body towards it and blocked the attack with her weapon. However, the force of the blow was so powerful that she was thrown further. She rolled on the broken ground beneath her and braked on all fours. She touched her hands, which were bloodied. She rubbed them to remove the bits of stone that remained and caught her breath. She looked up and noticed that the Longer could not get up. Being on the ground like this, she would have an easier time defeating it...

- Its slimy body doesn't conduct my electricity. I should have known better.

She was certain that its heart was in there. She could wait for the Longer to bleed to death, but she knew that wasn't a good solution: most of these monsters could live without any blood in their bodies. Their heart functioned more like an energy core... She had to destroy it in order to kill it. She began to move backwards in small steps, which surprised Bibha. From her remote location, she watched the fight with Naim. She had gone from being a girl without much power to possessing an aura that was growing meters away from her. Bibha could see it clearly, even feel it...

- She is not human. It is not possible...

Some people, Kemonos or humans, would have beaten this Longer without difficulty. However, no one possessed such a brilliant aura. She couldn't see it clearly from her place, but she could see that Bibi had changed. The sound of the fight had attracted a good hundred people from the Great Sanctuary who were now watching the scenery. To see such a Longer get his leg cut off in such a short time... It was extraordinary. Bibha's fists were clenched as Naim smiled. To him, such a sight was absurd. This girl looked so weak, so how could she fight like that? Especially since the other man was still motionless, probably too shocked and scared to move.

- Who are they...?” wondered Naim.

Bibi continued to back away, her weapon in hand. Little by little, it became charged with lightning. When she used her power, she drew on her own energy. Charging her body and her weapon so much... exhausted her. She couldn't fight for hours on end and preferred to get it over with as quickly as possible. Bibi didn't want to fight against a Longer any more. She hated them with all her heart and they were the reason Arcave was at constant war. If she knew how to stop them forever, she would even sacrifice her life to make them disappear.

- ...

Her weapon glowed brightly and a bolt of lightning fell on her. She stopped and closed her eyes. That Longer had no chance of getting out of there. It was pinned to the ground, had no arms to stand on, only one leg left and its only way to defend itself was with its hands sticking out of its insides. She took a deep breath and clutched her weapon with force. Her body shone with such intensity that it dazzled Na. Bibha and the spectators did not understand what was happening and Bibi was no longer visible. The girl opened her eyes again and stared at the reclining Longer.

She would never lose a fight, especially against a Longer.

No matter what level they were, no matter how strong the enemies were, she would always be the one to win.

To do this, however, she needed someone to stand behind her. She needed someone who NEEDED her.

And then, Bibi could face the Gods and in her hands the world would be.

Because no one, mortal or deity...

Could stop her in her purpose.

Bibi put all her energy into her weapon. It shone like a star and blinded everyone. She crouched down, ready to finish. This fight had been won the moment Na had worried about her. She smiled.

It wasn't "Na" himself that was important, but the support he offered.

- Eh, thanks.

The weapon stopped glowing and the ground beneath Bibi cracked more and more, until it shattered into a thousand pieces. The debris began to float in the air, the atmosphere became heavy and the Longer began to scream again. It had not been attacked yet, but it knew that death lay ahead. Bibi's fox tail twitched left and right, her ears spasmed and her right hand shook. If its slimy body didn't conduct electricity, then she had to pierce its heart directly. She took a last breath...

And finally moved.

She disappeared with a flash of lightning and her departure caused a sound like thunder. The ground beneath her cracked and debris flew in all directions. Bibi arrived at the slimy body of the Longer in less than a second, stopped, and leaped into the air. She reached an impressive height that no human could reach. She put all her strength into her right arm, where she held her lightning loaded weapon. She raised it to the sky as defiance to the Gods and threw it violently to the ground. The object flew towards the Longer at breakneck speed and its path formed a trail of lightning behind it. The metal bar pierced the monster's body and it screamed in pain, tearing out part of its heart. A bolt of lightning passed through Bibi and fell on the weapon, and part of the Longer was fried. The girl fell to the ground and spun around so that her legs were aiming at the ground. She smiled weakly and landed on her weapon...

And the body of the monster was fried in its entirety.

The energy caused by this last attack furiously excited the wind. Na thought he was going to fly away and Bibha felt the breeze blow her hair. Everyone was staring at the landscape, their eyes unable to believe what had just happened. It was still possible to see arcs of lightning going through the burned out body of the giant monster.

- ...

Now there was silence. No one spoke, the wind had died down and the fight was over.

Bibi had defeated the Longer.

The girl got out of the giant body of her opponent and dragged her weapon with difficulty. She wielded it with the rest of her strength and looked ahead to where the wall of the Great Sanctuary was visible. She didn't let go of a word and planted her weapon into the ground with force before dropping due to fatigue. She wasn't hurt, but she was tired and exhausted. She had used all her energy to make sure she would defeat it. She didn't feel any other Longers around, so she closed her eyes and sighed. Her white aura disappeared, as did her fox attributes. The white cloak she had around her waist was torn from the hands that had grabbed her and her bag was slashed all over. Nothing was in it, fortunately. She wanted to fall asleep, but she couldn't. She had to get back to Na—

- B-Bibi!

She opened her eyes and looked up. She saw a man with unkempt hair crouch down next to her and touch her.

- Y-Y.... Y-You.... Are you... Are you okay...?!

She did not answer. She felt very good, but fatigue prevented her from saying anything. She managed to nod and smile.

- ... We... We won, hehe...

Na blinked and nodded back, still speechless. He got up and ran, which surprised Bibi. She got up with difficulty and sat on the ground, breathing slowly. She watched Na run back and when he was at her waist, he held out his hand.

- I... I dropped them, sorry...

Bibi looked at him and laughed.

- That's okay.

She grabbed the metal bars and placed them in her hair, tying them back up. She sighed.

- I... I want to sleep... I promise, I'm not hurt... Just my scratched hands...

Na did not know what to say. She had won against such a monster, all so they could go home... She had risked her life... She had almost died...

Na finally took her in his arms.

Bibi blinked and looked at him, unable to move. It was so sudden...

- I'm glad you're okay.

They were not friends, nor were they close. They had known each other for very little time and knew almost nothing about each other. However, Na already liked her very much. He had great affection for her and trusted her.

He was relieved to see her still alive.

He had been frightened by this Longer and had been unable to do anything. He had not been able to be brave and take a single step forward. He had been completely useless. He blamed himself, even though there was nothing he could do about it: he was Powerless. Nevertheless, watching such a fight, even from so far away, he thought of something. He looked at Bibi, stopped hugging her, and smiled.

- I want to be able to fight like you!

Bibi still said nothing, surprised that he was acting this way. It took her a few moments to react and she started to laugh. Na imitated her and the atmosphere calmed down. She took his hand and smiled back.

- I am sure that you have a hidden Power, I want to believe it!” she said to him.

Na was about to answer when applause was heard. Bibi turned her gaze to her left and watched as the woman approached them.

- I'm shocked. Disturbed, even.

A man was following her: it was Naim. Bibha stopped in front of the two crouching people and smiled.

- I can't believe you actually beat him... It's... I don't have the words. All by yourself, too.

Bibha touched her chin.

- You changed your Aura and your... Hmm... You really weren't the same during that fight, were you?

Bibi stopped smiling and squinted.

- Underestimating me is silly," she replied.

- I would never underestimate you again. I just wanted to see how brave you were, but I never thought you would kill it. That's why... Naim.

The man moved closer to the woman and nodded. Bibha looked at Bibi, then at Na. She crossed her arms and nodded.

- Take this test and you'll be accepted, right…?

Bibha sighed and looked at the man next to her.

- Naim.

- Yes?

- Kill them. Both of them.
