Third person pov:

.

As the sun began its descent on the horizon, the citizens of Braavos noticed an unusual phenomenon. The red star in the sky, usually a distant glimmer, started to intensify, casting a crimson glow that gradually overshadowed the fading sunlight.

The clouds in the sky trembled, parting their billowing masses as if intimidated by the approaching radiance. From the heavens above, a baleful red light erupted, casting an ominous glow that spilled across the celestial canvas. The once-diffused sunlight now gave way to the dominating brilliance of the crimson star, painting the firmament with an otherworldly hue.

Paradoxically, the ominous red star, commanding attention in the sky above Braavos, stood as a unique spectacle in the vast expanse of Planetos. Nowhere else could one witness this particular celestial phenomenon, making it a hauntingly singular display exclusive to the city's bewildered inhabitants.

And so, the celestial spectacle unfolded, capturing the attention of those below, as the red star asserted its prominence in the darkening heavens...

Negary pov :

.

"𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍...𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓, 𝑴𝒓 𝑫𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏?"

Disregarding the velvety voice, my eyes ascended, meticulously examining the expanse of the hall's ceiling.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

'This is turning into a shit show...'

The voice, though soft, emanated an otherworldly chill, matching the unsettling sensation of pressure that seemed to cascade from above.

Turning my head lazily, I triggered a yawn, orchestrating a coordinated dance of facial muscles.

I cast a casual glance at the being standing behind me, acknowledging its presence without any hint of concern or deference.

"The cuisine is delightful, yet the decor appears excessively extravagant..."

A moment of quiet enveloped the hall...

"𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆"

...before a gentle giggle echoed through the air...

Ignoring the faint hypnotic undertones of the sound, I finally shifted my attention to the uninvited guest.

'Or maybe landlord would be more fitting...'

"..𝒉E𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆..H𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆..𝒉𝒆H𝒆𝒉𝒆..𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒉E..𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒉𝒆.."

The giggle persisted, echoing through the hall like a malfunctioning audio recorder, each iteration sounding subtly different, as if emerging from distinct voices, creating a disconcerting dichotomy...

And I scrutinized the potential threat in my vicinity.

The Waif's slender figure stood a few meters away, now adorned with the face of a sickly-looking girl, a deathly pallor casting an eerie glow on its features.

Its pitch-black eyes, voids devoid of reflection, remained fixated on me.

Despite the continuing giggles resonating in the hall, her face remained an unmoving mask, expressionless as if carved from stone. From the fresh, jagged line on her neck, ebony-hued blood oozed slowly, contrasting against the pallor of her skin, tracing a macabre path downward.

The body stood with a mechanical rigidity, each limb seemingly locked in place, denying the natural fluidity that living bodies possessed...

And the mana in the surroundings began to coalesce around it slowly, as if attracted by a whirlpool.

'She's not even bothering to hide it...' I thought as the mad giggle finally ceased, leaving an eerie silence in its wake.

I gazed into the abyss of her eyes, a swirling void that seemed to defy comprehension. My mind churned with calculations, contemplating how to extract the maximum advantage from this unexpected turn of events.

'An unknown spirit...most likely the "God of Death" but there's no way to verify...'

Ready to evade a probable impending assault, I prepared for an escape. Engaging in a fight with an unknown adversary on their turf would be beyond reckless.

While I wasn't averse to a good skirmish, this half of me dying before unraveling the abilities of my enemies didn't quite align with my plans.

The silence stretched on as I continued to order my thoughts, quadruple checking them with my other train of thought to prevent lapses in judgement.

'Identified abilities include sense muddling and advanced mana control. It is also strategically concealing its soul power. Appears to require a vessel for optimal function, but it's potentially just a tactic to lower vigilance while employing sense muddling for a sneak attack... Motives remain unclear, as it's voice suggests an air of immaturity and feigned joy. Overall strength and true threat level remain unknown... Let's attempt diplomacy first to try and lower it's guard...while preparing my own sneak attack...'
