*You have slept in a dungeon. HP and MP restored.
*Regeneration has reached level 8. Your legs are no longer crushed.
*Levitation has reached level 2.
Pef blinked at the screens, and waved them away, searching for older notices.
*You have killed a lvl 100 boss. Gained 100 HP.
*You have killed an elite monster. Gained + 1 Kharma.
*You have gained an Aura Body manual. You have gained an Agility Ring. You have gained a Shaman wand.
*You have found a Greater MP potion. You have found 5 Medium HP potions.
With a smile, he took out the manual and promptly tried to learn it.
*You cannot learn Aura Body. You need minimum 20 Constitution.
Pef's eyebrow twitched, then he opened the stats menu and added the points.
*You have reached 20 Constitution. You may select a new skill.
A list of 5 various skills appeared, including the Aura Body.
Pef selected the Bronze Skin, which was at least sounding more protective. Then he learned Aura Body as well.
*Damage mitigation has fused with Aura Body. Your soul becomes tangible and can block incoming damage(passive).
*Aura Body has reached level 4. Your soul blocks 40 damage and reduces incoming damage by 4 percent.
The Agility Ring granted +2 Agility, which was nice, but didn't prompt a skill.
The Shaman wand added +10 percent magic damage and + 1 Magic. Nothing special, but better than nothing.
*You have activated Bronze Skin. Incoming damage reduced by 5. 20 MP cost per minute.
He nodded in response. The cost will go down as the skill leveled up, and will provide even more defense.
Still, he was becoming more aware that he lacked important spells and skills to insure his survival.
Sure, the regular mobs were easy to farm, but dungeon bosses could be very dangerous.
And if he wanted to go after those Templars, they wouldn't be autistic monsters with a tiny range of skills.
"Cloak"
"Vanish"
"Invisibility"
"Hide". The last spell worked, draining some mana points and making him see as through a haze of distortion.
*You have created a spell. Hide blocks visible and thermal detection as long as you don't enter combat. 50 MP cost per minute.
"Speed"
"Charge"
"Swift"
*You have created a spell. Swift adds +3 Agility for combat purposes. 30 MP cost per minute.
With a grin, Pef continued to try making new spells, with some success, as the words had to reflect a clear intent.
*You have created a spell. Wisp sends a spark of light, allowing vision in a 5 meters radius. 5 MP cost per minute.
*You have created a spell. Flare sends a burst of light, allowing vision in a 50 meters radius. 50 MP cost per minute.

*You have created a spell. Dare adds +3 Kharma for combat purposes. 30 MP per minute.
After a few hours of testing, Pef resumed his Floating Meditation, and wrapped himself with the new buffs, then descended into the dungeon again, to the 3rd Floor.
With the increased mana regeneration, he could almost sustain all the buffs, as long as he flew above the Black Kobolds and didn't need to spend mana to attack.
First thing, he cruised for a few hours, leveling his spells to reduce costs while mapping out the dungeon maze.
Then, as his MP started to trickle up again, he began shooting Lightning arrows or laying Firewalls on corridors with large numbers of kobolds.
Some hours later, he received the dreaded notification.
*You have killed 1000 Black Kobolds. You have gained the Perk Blackheart. + 1 Charisma.
*You have received 30000 Exp.
The boss of the 3rd Floor was another elite, wearing a Samurai armor and a pair of katana swords. Although, the short one was not a katana.
However, the swords were of little use against a hovering magician.
Pef let go off the debuffs, going for DPS now.
A wall of Lightning arrows soon condemned the Black Kobold King to explode into motes of light.
*You have killed the Black Kobold King(elite). Gained 20000 Exp.
*You have killed a lvl 100 boss. Gained +100 HP.
*You have killed an elite monster. Gained +1 free attribute.
*You have completed the 3rd Floor. Gained 30000 Exp.
*You have gained a Dual Swords manual. You have gained a Bodybuilder manual. You have gained a Black Leather belt. *You have found 2 Greater Mana potions. You have found 1 Greater HP potion.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
*The Gamer has reached level 13.
Pef tried to learn the new manuals but found out they were locked for now.
*You have tried learning Dual Swords. You need Swords at minimum level 20.
*You have tried to learn Bodybuilder. You need minimum 20 Strength.
Pef glanced at his stats, trying to figure out a path.
*Pef the Gamer
Level 13, HP 600, MP 220
Attributes: free = 7
Str: 13
Con: 20
Agi: 18+2
Magic: 21+1
Mind: 18
Charisma: 13
Kharma: 13
Sadly, it would be a waste to use all those points for Strength. Perhaps purchasing a gym card would have the same benefits. It did say bodybuilder after all.
Pef added 2 in Agility and Mind, to bring them into the superpowered zone.
*You have reached 20 Agility attributes.
*You have selected the Bullet time ability. Time slows down for you in combat, by 20 percent.
*You have reached 20 Mind attributes.
*You have selected the Invictus ability. Your mind and willpower are harder to shake or disrupt.
"Now, how do I train my Magic?" Pef asked himself, glancing doubtfully at the next Floor entrance.
"I advise you to follow the quest. The last dungeon floor might be harder than you expect" a soft female voice whispered in his ear.
Pef scratched his cheek in thought. Decisions, decisions.
He still had the lingering vision of his dream, someone was trapped or something.
*You have equipped the Black Leather belt. All damage reduced by 3.
Twirling his Shaman wand, Pef began laying down his buffs again.
'Perhaps another level and perk will be enough...'
In a minute, he began floating towards the 4th and last Floor.
-20
*You have been hit by a Snowball.
*You have Adapted to cold snow. Adaptation has reached level 5.

"Figures. Blue Kobolds have Ice spells..." Pef muttered as he began his massacre routine.
It took a dozen hours, as spellslinger kobolds were much harder to farm, necessitating kiting and other gaming tactics.
*You have killed 1000 Blue Kobolds. Gained 50000 Exp. You have received the Perk Frosty: + 1 Strength, +10 percent damage vs artists.
Pef rapidly cancelled all buffs except Swift, as movement speed and reflexes were always of help.
A fog of snow and ice crystals parted for second, almost to fast to notice. Almost.
He managed an "Observe" and rapidly scanned the boss.
*Madera King(Immortal)
lvl 100, 100000 HP, 1000 MP
Status:cold, miserable, wrathful.
*Gamer's Mind has prevented you from crying out loud.
"Really? An Immortal?" Pef yelled at the frosty ceiling of the dungeon.
"Yes, it will be hard for you to defeat him. But that word means something else, not what you believe." the goddess replied with a voice full of mirth.
'Right! This is a game. In games, monsters can respawn, or be summoned or many other things.' Pef mused inward as he began pelting the boss with arrows.
Its health barely decreased, and regenerating faster than his mana did.
"Volt"
"Firewall"
Forced into a daze, and burned by the firewall, the boss finally began slowly losing his HP.
A sudden feeling of danger made Pef dodge away, as a cone of ice and shards passed by.
"Damn it. Of course, he knows long range spells too." he muttered in his chin.
Back and forth, Pef and the Madera King battled for hours and hours, til eventually the boss finally died.
*You have killed the Madera King. Gained 100000 Exp.
*You have killed an Immortal. Gained the perk Mortician: +1000 HP.
*You have defeated the Madera Underworld Dungeon. Next Floor allows access to Hell. Abandon all hope, those who enter.
*The Madera King will re-appear once you leave this Floor.
*The Gamer has reached level 15.
*You have gained a Magician Apprentice manual. You have gained the Freeze Cone spell manual. You have gained a Snowflake necklace(Unique).
*You have found 30000 gold, in Roman denarii.
*You have found 3 Greater HP potions.
*You have found 1 Elixir potion.
Pef poked the manuals with curiosity.
*Do you wish to gain a class? Magician Yes/Later/Kill me now.
With a chuckle, Pef tapped Yes.
*You have gained a class. Magicians gain 5 attributes per level, but 3 of them are always sent to Magic.
*You have learned Freeze Cone. In a cone of 10 meters in front of you, everything will freeze and receive substantial damage. Costs 100 MP.
*You have equipped the Snowflake necklace(Unique). Gain +10 Magic, Magic resistance increased by 10 percent. Cannot be stolen or damaged.
Pef looked suspiciously at the black void shaped as a door.
"Will I die if I enter this Hell?" he asked cautiously.
"Please don't make me find another Gamer. Hell and Heaven should not be an issue for a few years." the goddess said in a sterner tone.
"I see. Not rush going to Hell, eh?"
"I can trade you 30000 Euros for those coins. They're from an older version..." Gaia added helpfully.
*Update 1.034. Financial prizes will be paid in current local currency.
"Haha. Yeah, the Roman Empire is gone for 1500 years." Pef replied with a chuckle.
"So you agree?" she asked hopefully.
"Nah. Old coins would be worth a few millions now. But thanks for the offer." Pef said politely.
"Get on with your quest, my servant." she said in a colder voice.
