Chapter 1

Once the sun have swept the darkness that crept throughout the land, all livelihood have once again resumed as though the fears of trouble brewing while night stayed have not once lingered in their hearts. Although not a single indication of light could still yet to be found inside the cave, this was the same too for the Goblin, regaining consciousness almost an hour later after the morning came.

As the day came forth onwards, the arduous struggle that it had to endure, it remembered all to well. And as much as it wanted to alleviate it's growling appetite still remains, and in fact, have grown much even stronger than it was from before.

However, this day was different. Unlike yesterday, it wasn't completely hopeless. Because of the fact that goblins naturally had faster growth rate, and a ridiculous one at that, compared to other species, it was now able to move in all fours. But this does not erase of it in state of infancy, and as such, was still stumbling upon regions that wasn't leveled consistently.

Regardless of the accumulation of grazes it had received from bumping into sharp rocks, the goblin continued in search to find food.

The process didn't take too long for a moss of a peculiar violet color to loom in the background. Not once did the Goblin recall of having any resemblance that it attempted to eat, which is to say including pebbles, it didn't have to take a second for it to try to put it in its mouth.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

This time, it could actually bite into it quite easily. If it was palatable though, was a different story.

Warning!

The individual is now poisoned for 5 seconds! Under its effect -1 points will be deducted from the HP per second!

Skill Learned!

The individual have unlocked the passive skill Diabolical Eater!

Two announcement sprang up simultaneously, and an idiot as it was, it didn't suspect anything to be wrong in the first screen until a sudden burst of pain ached in its stomach. The excruciating sensation was enough to put it into tears.

"Mhoetrkerfcu!"

It crouched instinctively and held onto its belly, groaning indescribable sounds.

The effect of the poison was brief, but it was long enough to leave a measly fraction of its total HP. Estimating its defense value and an average strength that of humans, it would take only one swing of a sword to end its life. But since this place is seldom visited, and those that do were of hero status, the Goblin wouldn't have to fear for its life. Not that it had any idea regarding about this.

Also, since it received damage from a status ailment, no bonus stats were gained.

The Goblin approached the remaining pieces of moss, its eyes tinged with craving. Without even a hint of reservation, the plant was being chewed tenderly again.
