When the sorting was done, everyone sat down at their house tables and got ready to eat.
"Percy who's that?" Harry asked Percy Weasley, while pointing at the teacher's podium.
Jason looked up to where Harry was pointing to, it was Snape. Jason thought he looked pretty handsome, though a tad feminine(no homo). Jason switched his attention to the person Snape was speaking to though, Professor Quirrell. He had an odd turbin wrapped around his head, with a constant nervous tick plaguing him.
What a weird guy, i see why Harry and the others never suspected him.
Seemingly feeling Jason's gaze, Quirrel looked towards him. He then gave a friendly smile which Jason returned, and continued his conversation.
"Have you met the professor before?" Hermione asked. Ron also looked at Jason curiously.
"No, but Harry had. Though he looks like an odd fellow."
Hermione looked at Quirrel and couldn't help but agree inside her head.
When the meal was over, Jason and the other first years followed Percy to Gryffindor's common room. Inside, Jason found it especially cozy, like how a home would be.
That night, Jason sat with Harry looking over Hogwarts' grounds. They talked about a lot of things, Jason could see that Harry truly liked this place. Jason shared his sentiment. They eventually went back to bed, with the moonlight gently streaming over their faces.
****
Classes were fairly easy to Jason.
Transfiguration...
"I want you to turn this match into a needle" Professor McGonagall told her class. Everyone started, and after a few tries they stared at their matches cluelessly. There was no change in either one of their matches, well except Hermione's.
"Wonderful Miss Granger!" McGonagall praised her as she walked through the ranks, causing Hermione to lift her head proudly and turn it to Jason. But when she looked over, she realized that there was nothing on his table.
"Where's your match?" She asked perplexed, he couldn't have made it invisible right? McGonagall also noticed that Jason's match was gone.
"Mr Riley don't fret over not getting it rig--"
A miserable scream cut her off, and pulled everyone's attention towards the culprit. It was Goyle, who was standing at the moment, trying to get a thin silver needle out of his arse. Everyone turned their attention towards Jason, who had an innocent look on his face.
"Well Professor, as you can see I've finished my assignment. I don't know why my needle is there. Though i suspect that Goyle's proclivities has something to do with it."
Some boys in class started laughing, and the girls just blushed. Hermione and McGonagall glared at Jason.
"Despicable" Hermione whispered.

Potions was especially easy, with Jason's memory, he almost never threw in the wrong ingredients. And the rest was smooth sailing.
Herbology was a bit of a drag, the plants always seemed to grow towards Jason. And those that could run, would try their hardest to get to him, which caused the students to lose theirs.

At night, Jason would sneak out of the castle towards the edge of the forbidden forest where he would practice magic. He could cast most spells wandlessly and non-verbally now, he found that he only had to picture it in his mind, and will it through his fingers, sometimes his palm depending on the spell, though his spells were still much stronger if he used his wand.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Jason thought that magic was a lot like a wild beast, you could either tame it, or let it eat you. You could run away too, but he thought that was too much effort.
The wand had never given Jason any new spells yet, though looking at the tree cut in half in front of him, Jason felt that what he had now was enough.
He would visit Hagrid a lot too, Fang had found him on one of his trips, Jason had hit it off with him immediately. Fang would take him to Hagrid where they would drink tea, though Jason brought his own pastries after the first night.
****
"Jason where do you go at night?" Harry asked Jason in the great hall
"To practice magic, and i also go to Hagrid's sometimes."
"Really, why didn't you take me with?" Harry said.
"I'll take you with me next time, you too Ron. Both of your magic is shitty."
Harry and Ron both looked down sadly, they couldn't retort because compared to Jason, their magic was truly shitty.
Seeing them downtrodden like that Jason couldn't help but console them.
"Well don't worry, a little bit of practice and you'll be good in no time. Though don't let Hermione find out."
They both nodded spiritidly.
And so Harry and Ron Joined Jason's nightly adventures. It was slightly hard with three people sneaking out at the same time, but thanks to Jason's excellent perception, they somehow made it.
****
Harry had just been recruited into the quidditch team, Him, Ron and Jason were walking to class.
"But what if I fail?" Harry asked nervously.
"You won't Harry." a Voice interrupted them from the back, when they looked behind, they saw that it was Hermione.
"It's in your blood!" she said to him confidently. Then she proceeded to walk away and motioned towards them to follow.
****
"I swear she knows more about you then you do."
"Doesn't everyone." Harry said flatly.
"Hey guys, you know we're going the wrong way right?" Jason suddenly said.
"Don't be ridiculous, this is the same pat-" Hermione got cut off by a jerk, then she was moving horizontally.
"The stairs are moving!" Harry exclaimed.
Hermione swiveled towards Jason and grabbed his collar.
"Why didn't you tell us earlier!" She demanded.
"Hey hey, personal space. We don't want another accident do we?" he said with a smirk.
Seeing how close she was and hearing what Jason said, Hermione quickly backed offed with a blush on her face.
"Well don't be so bashful okay, i forgot." Jason said matter of factly.
"Ughh" Hermione groaned at his laid back response.
Just then the staircase suddenly stopped moving. There was a wooden door in front of them, not much different than the normal door they usually see.
"Let's go this way." Harry said.
When they pushed open the door, they were in a dirty dark hall, filled with dust and cobwebs.
"Are we supposed to be here? " Ron asked nervously.
"No, this is the third floor." Hermione answered. She wasn't sure why they weren't supposed to be here, but she did feel the place had an ominous feel to it.
"Let's go." Jason said, then walked off.
"Yeah lets-Wha! Jason you're going the wrong way." Harry had just wanted to turn around and go back when he heard Jason, but then he saw Jason going straight to the front.
*Meow*
A cat's call startled them suddenly, when they looked behind them, they saw an ugly cat staring at them with it's blood red eyes.
"It's Filch's cat!"
"Run!"
"Jason, wait for us!"
They swiftly turned around and followed Jason, who had arrived at the door already. They saw him point his finger at the door, and with a click it opened.
"What! How did you do that?"
Hermione asked astonished. Harry and Ron had already seen Jason's spellcasting so they weren't that surprised. But Hermione hadn't, and she was horrified. What Jason did, even if he only cast a basic spell, was something that only an adult wizard was supposed to do. How did he do it then?
"Don't worry about that now, get in!" Ron said impatiently.
****
Jason liked attention, but he didn't like unnecessary attention. So he hadn't shown off his wandless or non-verbal casting in class before, he usually called out his spell softly, so the people next to him could always hear him say something. Though he did find it a hassle, he didn't want his abilities to be known to his enemies so soon, including Dumbledore.
He knew Dumbledore wasn't an enemy, but he didn't want to be used by the old guy either. So as soon as he could, Jason did research on how to block prying eyes. So now, wherever Jason went, Dumbledore couldn't peek. It was a simple trick, all he had to do was seep a certain amount of magic in the air, in a certain way.
Jason didn't know how hard it was to control magic so precisely though, probably only Tom Riddle from that age could barely match him.

When they were all inside they quickly closed the door.
"You have to tell me where..."
Hermione had just wanted to harp Jason again, but what she saw in front of her, made her throat clog up.
Everyone stood next to her, and stared dully at what they were seeing.
It was a dog, a huge one. It's paw could fit Hermione into it snugly. But that wasn't so astonishing, no what shocked them, scared them, was the fact that it had three heads.
Three heads which at the moment, was gazing at them icily, each with a bit of drool leaking out of it's mouth.
*Grrrrr*
It growled menacingly. That's what Harry, Ron and Hermione heard.
Jason heard something different.
"Fear puny humans, for I am Fluffy, guardian of doors." ×3
