As she watched the sorry figure of her master collapsing on the floor, Selvi had immediately regained her clarity.

"Master!" she shouted in fright.

When she tried  to move her body closer to Ryan to see what exactly had happened to him, Selvi instead found out that her body was unable to bulge an inch from her current location.

"The mana is... overflowing, kugh..."

In the middle of the room, the strange 'elemental' ignored everything that was happening and just continued absorbing everything with glee.

Enormous amount of mana from all over the world, imbued with countless different elements were gathered in one point.

While Ryan's body showed no sign of reaction, the same thing couldn't be said for Selvi. Her whole body flushed red as unimaginable pain wrecked everything from her top to bottom, as if she was going to explode to pieces.

'...no, at this point, I really am going to explode! Too much mana has gathered inside my body, I had to let them out before it can blow up... uegh... '

Though Ryan was someone who was unable to use magic as he wished for, Selvi could be said to be a natural at controlling magic. She was a bit... dimwit, however.

"Gaaaaahhhh! Body Enhancements : Increase Strength, Increase Endurance, Increase Vitality, Increase Agility! Blessing : Mental Defense Resistance Up, Debuff Resistance Up, Pain Resistance Up..."

In her panicked state, she used myriad self buffing spells to alleviate the pain on her body, which she succeeded in doing so, though...

...her body inflated so much it turned as round as a ball. Forget about moving, she couldn't even speak anymore.

As there were so much more mana than the usual, the magic she had used would obviously gives out effect several times higher than normal, and her frail body couldn't withstand it.

'In hindsight, I should've used a strong offense spell to destroy the magic formation and stop the rushing mana, but hey, I was not in the right state of mind, alright!?'

Selvi cried bitterly in her heart. Now that the pain was no more, she began to feel like she had made a stupid choice before. She could also imagine that if her master was currently not lying unconscious in the floor, he would've done a facepalm and starts lecturing her all day long about various different, better ways to solve her current situation.

'Aiya... forgive me master, it's just that I feel so sleepy right now... no more lectures, um...'

Right before she closed her eyes, she barely saw that the strange 'elemental' in the middle of the room began to move closer to her body, apparently reacting to her magic.

'It's dangerous,' she thought.

Yet...

'I don't care anymore...'

'It's so comfy here...'

'Good night... mas... ter... '

Then her body was swallowed whole by the 'elemental'.

Several minutes after the sudden disappearances of mana from all over the world, a huge magical explosion happened in one corner of the world.

Several magus had confirmed that the source of the explosion, which had decimated everything within 700 kilometer of the source, including several villages, town, and rainforest, were originated from a (former) mansion of Sage Ryan.

As the news were being spread out, countless people began to connect the dots and were trying to get a confirmation from the Sage himself, yet for an unknown reason, the Sage and his trusted assistant had disappeared without leaving a single trace.

The Sage's fame was also on it's lowest point since people began to blame him for this huge disaster.

It was estimated that the magic society will be thrown backwards for several hundreds years as most of the magic artifact and high tiered spells were rendered useless due to insufficient mana of the world.

If Ryan were to know that all of this happening were due to his own effort, he would've cried injustice.

"This old man here just wanted to use some magic, why is this getting blown up everywhere!?"
