As Lex awoke he felt a horrid sensation as the cryo foam melted from within his pores. As his pod door opened he saw pure chaos, corpses rotted and scattered, scorch marks on walls, dried blood covering the floor. Stumbling out of his pod he snagged an old riptide machine gun off the floor and deftly checked the magazine, it was loaded. Suddenly he heard a loud noise from his left, as he whipped around lex saw a flash of green and he barely rolled out of the way of a massive green beam. As he came out of his roll he drilled half a magazine of the riptide's high explosive rounds into the general area the beam had originated from. Suddenly there was a pop and as Lex began looking around he saw nothing, yet he sensed something was off. As he began to move toward where the beam had originated from he saw a distortion in the air and then felt a blade part his suit and flesh like butter. In a flash Lex felt himself fading when suddenly it all went black.

Stumbling out of his pod he snagged an old thorn rifle and he quickly and skillfully checked the 8 round clip, 3 rounds left. Suddenly he felt a burst of air and was launched towards a wall. As he impacted the wall he heard a sickening crunch and looked down to see that his arm was limp with shards of reddish white sticking through his suit. In a rage he aimed his rifle with his working arm and fired a burst of his last rounds towards a suspicious distortion in the air. Suddenly the rounds impacted an invisible foe and yellow fluorescent blood splattered to the floor and the now visible Xeno collapsed to the floor. Suddenly he saw another Xeno form as it raised a plasma rifle and shot a burst toward Lex, right before the rounds made contact with his chest he rolled to the side and quickly ran toward the Xeno. Augments whirring Lex leaped and slammed the spiked bayonet of his thorn rifle into the Xeno’s head. Falling to the ground on top of the beast huffing in exhaustion Lex sat down next to the two beasts. As he sat he felt a third presence yet before he could react he felt a blade bury itself in between his vertebrae and it all went black.

Stumbling out of his pod he grabbed an old Milton J2 revolver from the ground. He spun the cylinder then popped it out checking how many rounds it held, five out of eight, he popped the cylinder back into the weapon. As he moved toward the exit door he felt the air shift and spun around firing 2 rounds into the air. Suddenly yellow fluorescent blood began to drip to the ground and something heavy fell to the ground. With a roar of rage a Xeno suddenly appeared before Lex and swung it’s massive meaty fist toward his head. Right before the fist connected, Lex slammed the milton into the side of the beast’s head, knocking the fist slightly off course. As the fist whizzed by his head Lex fired one round into the beast’s forehead it promptly dropped to the ground, dead. As Lex stepped over the body of the beast he heard a click as something stomped on the floor behind him. As he turned he saw a massive golden armored Xeno holding an even larger spear. In a flash the hulking Xeno dashed toward Lex, spear at the ready. With a speed even surprising himself Lex aimed and fired all of his remaining shots into the Xeno. As the beast fell and the spear dropped Lex grabbed the spear from mid air and jammed it into the eye socket of the beast killing it instantly, fluorescent blood splattering.
