It's morning of the second days for Rudy here on this new world

Waking up with pain all over his body because the incident last night

And also because he is sleeping on uneven ground along the night,

It is more than just uneven ground, Rudy has currently sleep on the tree branches.

Many times Rudy has to wake up to fix his posture in the middle of night, and then going

back to sleep again after that.

At first Rudy was afraid, what if a snake has already climb the tree and waiting for him to sleep,

What if the snake struck him in the middle of night, and kill him on his sleep.

Or else, what if a beast of unknown feature already on the tree claiming the tree as it's lair.

It will be really dangerous if that is the case.

Then it is happen, an alarm has rung inside his head, something dangerous has taken notice of him,

Because his STEALTH skill still active, Rudy unconsciously suppress his fear and surprise,

And start to look around, he finally found a big snake, he mistakenly think that is a wood tendril of the tree,

Or some kind of parasitic plant that usually inhabit the tree.

Looking at the snake, the snake also looking at him and start to creep into his place, Rudy try to step back but,

It is Impossible to take another step. The snake keep creeping toward his place and Rudy keep hesitating

To take another step. If Rudy try to take another step back, there is possibility that Rudy will fall. So Rudy decide

To keep his place and see what the snake will do.

The snake keep coming closer while Rudy start to think of what to do, there still a decent distance between them

about 10 meter or more above his position, but the problem are, if the snake decide to launch it self toward him

It will take no time for the snake to reach him. So Rudy keep his eye on the snake and thinking hard of what to do

Suddenly Rudy realize what happen, his STEALTH skill are still on, and Rudy just sleeping before this, so there are

No action of Rudy that would provoke this snake before, there is possibility that the snake actually just curious about him.

Aside from that, the warning he feel from his skill are not intense like when the slimes attack him or when he saw the big lizard.

So, Rudy decide to be brave, believing on his skill Rudy slowly try to reach out his hand, he move very slow and carefully

So the snake didn't feel threatened by his movement, slowly and surely Rudy keep moving his hand toward the snake

there are chance that his next action will change the snake opinion toward him, but Rudy still wish to take that risk.

Right before the muzzle of the snake touch Rudy's palm, Rudy hold his breath and keep looking at the snake eyes,

And then the muzzle touch Rudy palm, and the snake tongue start to feel Rudy palm, trying to recognize what is in front of it

It stay like that for awhile and Rudy just let it happen. After a while the snake pull his tongue and muzzle back and stare at Rudy.

Rudy try to gather his courage and try reach at the snake muzzle again.

Rudy learn in one of his book collection that this is how an expert try to tame a wild animal, and once time when Rudy going home

From school, Rudy try to doing this to a wild dog and it is can be considered as successful attempt,

Rudy try to remember again the content of the book, It take a while for the animal to build trust on him, first they will try to recognize

him as harmless by smell or touch or posture. The approach are vary considering the state of the animal and the size of the animal

If it is small and aggressive animal, then first we need to immediately show domination by widen our shoulder and appear big,

The timing need to be perfect or it will fail to show that we are stronger than them, and if it is big and aggressive animal then first we

Need to assure the animal we are harmless, but in case the animal are trying to attack us as it's prey we also need a weapon to

Defend our self, a tree branch or a staff or anything that we could use to hit when the animal try to attack us.

This technique are something that only an expert can pull, and in almost all case the fight are unavoidable.

When Rudy try it on the stray dog, he has a baseball bat on his bag, but Rudy didn't use it at first. Rudy try to calm the dog by approaching

It calmly, Rudy would take a step even when the dog bark at him, and keeping eye contact with the dog, but when the dog look scared of him

Rudy would stop and sometimes take a step back to show he didn't wish to harm the dog, But the dog start to bark at Rudy more fiercely and

try threaten him, So Rudy pull his baseball bat and try to intimidate it more. it continue until Rudy able to touch the dog, and the dog realize

That Rudy didn't try to harm it at all.

Remembering that experience and more info from the book he read, Rudy try to touch the snake, trying to look as harmless as possible,

Because the one in front of him are a big docile animal so Rudy try to make contact slowly and try to convey his will to be friend with it

The snake also didn't feel danger from Rudy because his STEALTH skill made him look like a twig in front of the snake. Times flow slowly

And Rudy finally able to touch the snake muzzle, and activate his skill.

"Tame" Rudy cite his skill and try to tame the snake.

The snake surprised and it's eye are constricted but it's body didn't move and stay stoned at place. And Rudy suddenly realize his mistake

What if the snake tilt to the side because it didn't fully grasp on the tree branch that they currently reside. And after looking at the snake

Rudy realize that the snake body didn't go stiff like he assume with the slime case. So there is high possibility that the snake will fall

Thinking again, when Rudy used the TAME skill on the slime before, the slime body also didn't go stiff, they just stop moving at all.

Look like the skill didn't stun the target but somehow made them lose ability to move. Rudy think the snake will have more intelligence

Then the slime so he need to ask what actually happen to the snake when he use the skill on it.

Rudy is waiting for the progress to be done, but the the progress just stuck at 3%, Rudy has been thinking what happened.

Looking at the snake's eye, it still constricted and wary of him, there is possibility that the snake will attack him right after the skill has been done

Rudy also think that maybe it is impossible to tame the snake. But Rudy really wish for the snake to be his familiar. Rudy need it.

Or is it possible that his hesitation to forcibly tame the snake are the cause of this. Thinking again right after he cast the TAME skill on the snake

He suddenly feel weak, he was sure that his mana are drained more than what it happen with the slime,

"I could cast it one more times, but it would mean i have force it to do this, and i don't like to do it that way" Rudy try to find solution on this

"Summon Book" Rudy let go one of his hand and try to hold the book, flipping the paper sheet with one hand by using his finger, he settle on

The piece that show the creature that he can use his TRANSLATE skill on, that is when he realize his another mistake.

The TRANSLATE skill on the slimes has been undone when he unsummon his BOOK,

"So that is why i didn't hear the Slime1 voice anymore when i sleep, it is happened when i unsummon the book when i want to sleep"

"Master, are you okay ?" Rudy suddenly hear the worried voice of Slime1 when he summon the book. Thinking again where did this

Voice come from, the TRANSLATE skill should only translate, so what is it actually translate now. At first he can understand the Slimes

When he watched their move and gesture, but right now he didn't watch them and he unknowingly know what it say,

Even when he turn off the TRANSLATE skill on Slime2 and Slime3, it is because Rudy feel overwhelm by their chatting, but it also

something he didn't realize that times,

"I am fine, i just have unwanted visitor at night. And right now i kind of busy to take care of it"

"I will talk to you later, so i am sorry i will turn you off". Right after saying it Rudy procced to also turn off TRANSLATE skill on Slime1

And Rudy finally understand what happen, unknown to him at certain point in time when Rudy and the slimes converse, because Rudy

Always talk to them with sound the Slimes also start to made louder buzz sound to speak to him, so that's why Rudy still hear them talk even

When he didn't look directly at them.

Exited at his founding, Rudy try to hold it in and talk to the slimes later about it. Right now Rudy need to take care of the snake.

the progress still flow so slow that it is still on the 4% right now. Rudy could try to cast the TAME skill one more times but he feel reluctant

beside the risk of more mana usage, Rudy also hesitating to force the snake to succumb to him. Picking the snake picture on his book

Rudy try to active the TRANSLATE skill on this Big Snake.

"BETRAYED" Again Rudy saw the meaning at the snake eyes

"DISSAPOINTED" Once again Rudy saw the facial gesture of the snake

Rudy feel guilty to betray the snake trust, but this is the only way that he could think of, if he try yo do this differently the snake maybe will

Attack him mercilessly. And will end very bad for Rudy.

"I am sorry to betray your trust"

"I am sorry to use your curiosity against you and catch you off guard"

"I am sorry that i try to bind you to me with my skill"

"I am sorry if i offend you with my action"

"But i am really need a partner in this scary forest to save my life"

"I just got here yesterday, and i don't know much about this forest"

Rudy start to talk to the snake, the snake has surprised to see that, and Rudy know the snake will understand him when the skill is on

So, Rudy keep talking and try to persuade the snake to become his friend. He beg the snake by telling it his misery, start from the unjust summon

to the unfair condition after the summon.

"Basing at the progressing percentage, it will take about 100 minute or one and half hour for the progress to finish"

"It will be better for you and me to accept it and become my familiar"

"It will hasten the progress and let us go from this awkward standing position faster"

"If you keep resisting the progress will be slower, and maybe the progress will not be done even after two hour has past"

"No, No, i am not trying to encourage you to resist, i ask for your sympathy, and end this soon"

Rudy keep conversing with the snake and try to soften the snake resistance, sometimes Rudy will got quite and try rephrase his word

And then talk again to persuade the snake,

After a long and arduous conversation finally, half hour later the snake finally succumb to his TAME skill and become his familiar.

At first the snake suddenly flinch back when the TAME skill has done, but it slithering back at Rudy and talk to him.

"What have you done to me ?"

"Why i can't move before ?"

"Why I don't feel any anger and hate on you anymore, and why am i feel the urge that you are my kind when in reality you are not"

the snake confused with it's current state and ask Rudy for answer.

"Like i said before, it is my skill or you can also say a gift that i got when i transmigrated to this world" Rudy try to explain

"From where ?, from whom are you got the gift?" the Snake ask again

"I don't know, i just feel grateful for the gift and focus on surviving in this forest" Rudy again try to answer the snake question

The snake got silent for awhile and ask again

"Now you got me, what are planning to do ?" the Snake ask
