Running. nothing else was in Artemis's mind aside from this. Right before her eyes 2 wolves ripped apart Itsu. She was running for her life and even with her speed they were gaining on her, before they got even closer she looked around for a tree she could climb up. Spotting a small tree with thin branches she could climb up without the wolves being able to as well. Heading for it, she reached it and lunged upwards digging her claws in as she slowly crawled up. Before she gets more than 5 feet off the ground, she feels a sharp pain in her ankle as a wolf sinks its fangs into her. Screaming in pain she digs her claws in deeper, trying to hold on while waiting for the wolf to fall back to the ground. Finally letting her leg go she claws her way up 5 more feet to sit on a branch and nurse her ankle. The two wolves circle around the base of the tree, waiting. Over the next hour for more wolves show up to wait for her to come down.

Slowly Artemis's mind comes back to her as she recalls her past. Her work with unicorn and her foolish mistake of trying to play with a fox in a building that makes A.I.. looking down at the wolves circling her one thought came to her mind.
~god i went full retard for a while
-*sigh* now what am i going to do with you six?
She says aloud while looking down at the wolves as they circle her tree. A thought came to her and she climbed up higher and broke off some thin straight branches sitting down, she attempts to use her claws to turn them into spears. After a few tries, she succeeds at is greeted with a window for her effort.

Rapidly taking aim at another she throws another spear, but only enrages the wolf with a graze into its side. Slowing her breath down again, she takes careful aim at the wolf before hurling it with all her might.

Flying straight and true her spear passes cleanly into the wolf's skull killing it instantly. Suddenly the wolves look off into the forest. Then the remaining four wolves bolt off as fast as they can in the other direction. Praising her luck, Artemis finally slumps down to relax after a hard battle. Not even two minutes later A massive black wolf lumbers into her view. Five times her size, making the other wolves look like puppies compared to it. It locks eyes with Artemis before it starts to charge at her tree.

Field boss appeared
Alpha male
Seeing the message she quickly draws a spear from her pack and hurls it as far as she can hitting it's back.
Not slowing down and having barely any health taken off, she draws more spears and throws them one after another. After her last spear is thrown the wolfs health is still at 80% when it reaches her tree. Not stopping it plows into her tree tipping it over and sending her flying off. She barely rolls out of the way as the wolfs massive jaw clamps down on where she just was. Rolling up, she bares her claws while the wolf and her circles around each other. It lunges at her side as she steps to the left and rakes her claws into its side. Howling the wolf kicks her with its hind legs sending her flying into a tree.

She howls as she stumbles out of the way of the next attack. Climbing to her feet, she once again faces the wolf. Growling at her it charges straight at her with its mouth open, ready to slam down on her small frame. Unable to do anything else she closes her eyes and thrust her left hand into its mouth.

Opening her eyes the wolf's jaw is clamped down on her arm, While her claws pierced upwards into its brain killing it. As it fades to gray it drops a dagger, a pelt, and some meat she goes to bend down to pick them up, when suddenly exhaustion washes over her and she collapses on the ground. Unable to move she lays on the ground with her chest heaving as she try's to catch her breath and calm herself down. Coming in from the left, she hears 3 men talking, as she strains to look over her shoulder to get a clear view of them
bandit #1-what the fuck is that thing?
bandit#2- we should kill it the things already on deaths door.
bandit leader - don't be a fool that's a fox demon you don't just kill them
bandit #1-why is that?
bandit leader - because if you help them they will become your guardian. come on lets take it back to camp.
She can barely hear them talking in an unknown language. Thinking they have come to finish her off she stops looking at them and stares at the sky. Much to her surprise the one in the front bends down to pick her up and gently pats her head, as her consciousness fades to nothingness.
authors note: all my chapters are going to be fairly small so i will try to update once or twice a day if i have the time
i just don't like writing large amounts in one go because the story start to get away from me then.
as always please comment on what you think of my writing and story and ways to improve upon them.
