Prologue

"Victoria Alexandria Preassins, I hereby null our engagement." a golden blonde male who stood on a platform, wearing a crisp suit with the royal family's insignia, threaded in navy blue, on his breast pocket, his bright buttercup gold eyes staring down into icy blue ones.

The owner of the sharply colored eyes was in fact a young woman, about the age of 19. She had platnium blonde hair piled into a high bun with a braid around the base that is pinned in place by saphire and diamond encrusted pins. Bangs and side bangs framed her face that appeared like it was sculpted by the hands of a goddess. Her figure was lean, having womany curves that the dress accented perfectly made her appear otherworldy. Compared to other noblewoman, she woould appear like a delicate lily amongst the vibrant flowers.

"Of course your highness.." her laced gloved hands grasped the skirt of her dress, lifted it in her hands and took a bow to the crown prince before speaking up once again, "If I may inquire, does our king know of this?" she didn't lift her head, fearing her once empty mask will break, revealing her true emotions to the people around them, the sound of her heart slowly breaking were deaf to other's, but to her.

The man sneered, "Father has given me permission, leaving me to make my own marriage, with Lady Mia Gentlestar, as my new Fiancee." everyone in the room except for the ice like beauty clapped while a dainty looking girl came up onto the podium with a shy smile.

The girl, Mia, had brilliant green eyes and mousy brown hair. She wore a dusty pink dress with matching roses pinning it around her waist from where the skirt was attatched, her hair was short, so the sides were braided and tied by a ribbon with a rose in the middle of it. If we were to compare the ex-fiancee to the new one, it was like comparing water and wine. Victoria thought of herself as water while she thought of Mia as wine due to it being intoxicating, whispering sweet nothings while hiding the dangers of what it can do  to a person who is intoxicated by it.

Victoria always knew the girl was trouble ever Mia had transferred into their year.

When she called Mia out into the hallway, the low ranked noblewoman had a glint in her eyes that the doll like woman couldn't decipher. During her scolding since it was her duty as the class president and vice president of the student council, she was interrupted by Mia, who had began saying crude things about her and other noblewomen. That was the moment everything started to fall down into the drain when Victoria raised her voice. This caused a chain reaction that the platinum blonde didn't expect when Mia began to cry and blubber out apologies.

This sent an alarm to anyone nearby, specifically students, to come rushing to see the ruckas to find the innocent maiden Mia crying on the floor in front of the cold and virtuous beauty, Victoria Preassins. Ever since that day, rumors regarding Victoria were negative, none held the truth and Mia Gentlestar, had ruined it all by just telling pretty lies to the hungry nobles who took anything to ruin the lady by pure words alone. Even the crown prince, Michael, had fallen into the pretty web of lies spun by the low ranked noble girl.

Now here is the result of the things that the gullible prince believed in, dropping water for wine. Taking Mia as his Fiancee and leaving Victoria in the dust without a single bat of an eyelash. The ice like beauty stared at the 'harmonious' couple being congratulated by everyone while she wasn't even spared a glance. Lips trembling and eyes downcasted, she left the room and out to the front to take a carriage home.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Her once brilliantly blue colored eyes was bare of life. She was only doing her duties as the soon to be queen and wife. Watching out for her soon to be husband only for him to fall for another girl. A mistake on her part for not addressing it sooner. She rested her head against the window of the carriage while her shoulders trembled, silent sobs escaped her, covering her mouth while tears fell onto her lap, staining the dress. She once loved Michael just as he once loved her, his smile that was once hers was now someone else's, the person who shed his light into her world was gone.

Weeks went on, but to Victoria, it was merely years passing by until an announcement came- no, they marched right in and grabbed a hold of the Preassins members when one of the knights, most likely the officer, opened a scroll and said in a loud and clear voice, "The Preassins family has conspired against the royal family, an attempted assassination on the newly crowned princess, Mia Jane Gentlestar, was nearly killed by Victoria Alexandria Preassins. For committing such a crime, your fates is to be hanged in the gallows while Victoria Alexandria Preassins will be in a public execution for her crimes."

The young Preassins was stunned by this, she had never ordered an assassin, her family would never do this either! Oh fate was cruel, what more did the gods want from her? She shrieked for them to release her family and to leave them be. She never wanted this, especially to her family who were innocent, if anything she should be the one recieving the punishment alone.

Victoria was dragged into the palace dungeons, her legs bleeding and scratched from the rough ground, her dress having tears and her shoes no where to be found. The platinum blonde female was tossed into an open cell before the door was slammed shut, incasing her in the stone room with only a small window far above her height.

Days went by as the once beautiful woman became thin and weak from the lack of food, her hair greasy and in clumps, her dress in tatters while her injured legs were red and infected from the unsanitary conditions. Her sunken eyes stared dully at the window until the door was open and was forced to walk out with her hands tied.

It was custom for those were to be executed were to walk through the city to rech the square to do the public execution. Objects, eggs, rotten vegetables, even rocks were thrown at the dirty woman. The loud jeers and cries of mockery at the once virtuous woman who merely kept her head down, blood dripped from her head when a sharp jagged rock hit her causing the crowd to roar in pride at the once untouchable noblewoman to have fallen so low.

Forced to walk up the wooden steps and onto the podium where the guillotine sat. Pushed onto her knees and forward until the stocks then held her in place. She raised her head to see the two people she now hates the most.

The crown prince and princess were sitting under a canopy, smiles on their faces. Michael's was more of a cruel smile while Mia's was more mocking, "Any last words, my dear beloved childhood friend? Take it as a late broken engagement gift." The blonde sniggers.

The crowd then went into silence, wanting to hear the words from the fallen noble. Slowly lifting her head up some to reveal her face from her hair, her eyes dead seat on the couple, she instantly spat saliva onto the podium that she was one, mustering a sweet smile on her face, she finally spoke.

"I really and truly did love you Michael." Her voice was raspy, if it was her normal smooth and clear one, it would've sounded sweet to other's and would even pity her. "But now, I hope you all die like the fucking pigs you two are!" she shrieks and curses everyone in venomous words.

The crown prince signaled the executionor with his gloved hand, his face darkened with a furious scowl. And then the large blade fell onto the delirious woman who cursed everyone. Her expressiona remained of resentment even when her head was separated from her body.

Victoria's world fell until her head landed onto the stage, staring at the couple sideways while tears slowly formed from her eyes before everything became dark. Victoria Alexandria Preassins, was dead.
