Chapter 1

A sudden gasp came from a bed with a canopy covering the figure. The figure panted heavily, clutching where their chest is and leaned foreward, small murmering came from them as their form quivered before they quickly reached around their neck, touching it to feel smooth skin, nothing out of ordinary until they stared at their hands before quickly ripping the curtains aside and stumbled off the bed.

Long platinum blonde hair fell in soft curls, reaching the young girl's mid-back, the white cotton nighgown brushed against the floor while she padded over to the nearest mirror to stare at the reflection to find bright blue eyes staring back.

Her small hands then touched her baby like cheeks, she looked like a 5 year old. Memories of what happened made her breathing erratic, "A dream..? No.." She could feel a sense of pain on her legs, it felt itchy and irritated, but once she looked down and lifted the skirt up to find nothing, but clear pale skin, she knew it was too real to be a dream.

A knock was heard from the door "My Lady, I'll be coming in." The voice was familiar to her ears. The door opened revealing a mousy haired maid with grey colored eyes and freckles dusting across her face, having a small smile on her face while entering the room, she found the young lady standing in front of the mirror, gawking at her appearance like she hadn't looked in the mirror for years but, what surprised the maid, was to see the young miss, that she has been serving for at least 5 years and a month now, is up and out of bed before she knocked on the door.

The maid, Leslie Jones, hid her shock by bowing, showing her respect to the noble, "Good morning young miss, the duke and duchess are awaiting for your arrival in the dining room. Let's get you dressed for the day now." she moved to the large wardrobe and pulled out a few dresses. Victoria's eyes were wide, but that was the only thing that revealed her emotions while she watched her maid do her job, her faithful and loyal maid that stayed by her side since she was a small babe. Leslie continued to serve the Preassins family even with the rumors circulating around the estate and their residence.

Clutching the nightgown in her small chubby hands, memories of the death of Leslie, her beloved maid, came into her mind, tears slowly forming on her eyes as the memories kept flashing in her mind, the screams of trying to prove the Preassins innocence had rang in her ears, as if she was witnessing it all over again before she was killed right in front of her eyes when she was being held dragged away.

The young girl quickly wiped her eyes away, but the evidence of her crying was still there, her cheeks more rosy and her nose slowly turning pink and her eyes were a bit swollen.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Leslie turned around, holding a baby blue dress with white laces and ribbons tied around it, had noticed her lady's face, she was quick to react by fretting over the doll like girl who only smiled at the worried maid, sending the brown haired woman in a daze before starting to dress her lady up.

After changing with her hair tied up in a side ponytail with a white ribbon and a few fake flowers, she followed her maid into the dining room, opening the doors to reveal two figures sitting at the end of the table, The one sitting at the head had silvery blonde hair with bright gray eyes, natural pale skin. On his left was a woman with strawberry blonde hair. fashioned in an elegant bun with a few locks of hair framing her face with deep blue eyes that is compared to the bluest oceans.

Her mother's eyes went to the door and a soft motherly light appears in her eyes paired with a warm smile gracing her lips while her father turned his attention to her as well, his eyes softened at the sight of his child, his expression remained firm, but his eyes revealed a million things that he couldn't say, he was indeed a man of a few words, but he loved his people dearly.

The servants held their breath at the sight of the young miss of the Preassins estate. The young noble may still have her baby fats, but even a baby could tell she would make the world fall to her feet. She was the perfect mixture between her parents, her father's silvery blonde hair and her mother's blue eyes, she was one of the otherworldly beauties in the kingdom that could be compared to the royal family.

"Mother, Father, good morning." She greeted her parents as normally as she could, but her mother had notice the difference immediately causing her smile to fall, a frown replacing it, "Victoria, what's wrong?" She asked, her warm tone taking a more softer turn while reaching her hand out to her daughter to have her come forward, the worried expressions of her parents was all it took for her to break down with the memories.

Large droplets dripped from her eyes, her small lips trembled while she slowly sunk to the floor. Her change in behavior sent her parents in a panic, causing them to rush over to her, kneeling in front of her and asking her what was wrong. Victoria simply leaned foreward, resting her head onto her mother's lap.

"It.. was just a very bad dream..." She sobbed into her mother's lap, clutching the fabric in her small hands, her tears staining the dress while her mother and father looked at each other in concern before letting the girl continue to cry in her mother's lap, comforting their little girl.

After crying for what appeared for like an hour, they had a quick meal before the Duke and Duchess took their daughter back into her room, wanting her to rest since they are still worried in her change of behavior and that crying takes a lot of energy out of a person especially when they are younger.

After telling her to take the day off repeatedly then left her to rest, she stared at the ceiling, thoughts swirling in her head until the memories of Mia and Michael, sneering and mocking her came into mind. Clenching her fists in hand, she made a vow to herself, 'One day, I'll have my revenge.' She started to plot what she can do to take revenge, using her past knowledge to aid her for the future. But she needs to rest first before she can even start planning, all she wants for now, is to avoid another heartbreak and get revenge.
