Please create your avatar in the next room.
As the AI said this, a door appeared on his right side.
He opened the door.
Welcome to the avatar room.
A new voice of an AI spoked and welcomed him.
It was a male voice, the one earlier was a female voice.
He looked around and first saw the mirror in the middle of the room.
Then the table and a chair. On the table was a quill, bottled ink, parchment paper,
and a book with no name and no writtings or whatsoever.
At the opposite side of the table was another table, but bigger.
There lay a huge map and a figurine of some kind.
Just below the table was a back pack.
And the last thing he noticed was the paintings of portraits of male characters from different races.
He then went to check the table with the quill, bottled ink, parchment paper and a book. The book was already opened. He tried looking at other pages and saw nothing.
All the users never did take interest in the book when they created their avatar, there were a few curious ones and looked at the book and found nothing,
they thought it's just a decoration.
The AI suddenly spoke which startled Romulus a little. And after hearing that. He put the book down and went on the walls with paintings.
On the wall, there are portrait paintings. Portraits of a human, dwarf, an elf and an ork.
Below the portraits are another set of portraits, he then thought that this are the branch races.
Please choose your race.
The AI startled Romulus yet again.
To choose, select a portrait and place it on the first table you saw.
After placing it, go in front of the mirror to customize your appearance.
After hearing that, he removed the portraits from where it hangs.
He was about to place the human protrait with a city on the background when he noticed something at the back of the portraits.
He was only curious because the paintings look genuine and it was only a chance that
he saw writtings on the back of the portraits.
It was detailed info about the possitives and negatives of that race. Each race has their own specialization.
He then got all the paintings and started reading the writtings on each paintings.
After finishing the inspection of the portraits he heard a bell chime.
-DING!-
Through your dilligent study of the races, you've gained additional information of the races strenghts and weaknesses. Thus giving you additional intellegence and wisdom. And by having a little bit of understanding of each race you've
gained a little fame for each race.
+ 3 Intellegence
+ 10 Reputation
A bluish transparent window appeared in front of him, the Sysmtem Message.
Then that AI spoke again.
Wow! You are the first to look at the back of the paintings. Many users just get a portrait then place them on the table as I have ordered them.
They never thought of inspecting it. Thus recieving awesome rewards for a beginner, though you're not even starting the actual play.
I know about the achievement you can acquire while creating an avatar. Because of that, you'll be the first to also recieve that, on the table.
He then noticed that there was magnifying glass now at the table.
He then picked up 3 portraits. All the branch race of the elven.
"Can I have a mixed race? I know there is already mixed race among the portraits, the blood elf. But i still want to have a mixed race."
Wow, really interesting fellow you are. That is possible for the branches, but in this you are also the first one to have this idea.
All the users thought that the mixed race are only about different races, like the human and the elf which resulted to the Blood Elves. Mixed races are not only bound to humans and elves. If you can discover something about mixed races, then you can unlock them for others to use or if you want to be morphed into the race you discovered is also possible.
"So basically I can't choose a mixed race of all the elven races? Since I or others have yet to discover that race?"
No no, it is possible to the branches only. As i have said it earlier. It will only be impossible if the mixed race you want yields from completely different races.
"Great. Thank you. So what I want is 50:35:15. Do you get it?"
Hahaha. Of course, I'm Einstein, the greatest AI ever made named after one of the most brilliant scientist the world has ever had. And I'm responsible for the creation of most of this game and this world, Nuvos Mundo.
So please wait for a moment since I still have to process your request.
What Romulus meant was 50% HE 35% DE 15% FE.
"Okay."
Romulus then sat on the chair and took the magnifying glass and looked through it at everything and saw the book's name, "Book of Knowledge".
"Wow. The book now has a name! And now has contents too."
Then picked the book up.
Book of Knowledge (Unique)Written by an unknown scholar a long time ago.
The book contains the knowledge of the scholar.+ 13 to all basic and miscellaneous stats> The book will be consumed after reading it.
Process finished, request comlpeted! Ahem. What you're holding there is an identifying item. There is a skill "Identify" that most Merchant
profession has. Wizards and Theives also has the skill. Only that 3 profession is able to identify with the use of skill. Then there is the item
"Identifying Scrolls", which of course cost money. That magnifying glass is one and only. So you better take care of it or other might steal it.
And that Book of Knowledge you just identified is also a unique consumable. But you have to read all of it. And you won't be able to finish it in a day.
Now take a look at yourself in the mirror.
"WOW WOW WOW! Am I not the greatest? hahahahaha I'll read the book when I don't have anything to do."
As he was looking at his new elven look at the mirror.
Hahahaha. Whatever man.
His looks is just like any other elven race. The only different are his eyes and tattooes, they were blood red on color. It's just that the eyes were glowing, the tattooes are not.
"Are the tattoo and the eye color normal?" he asked Einstein.
No. They are what you get from mixing all the elven race.
"Really? Can I change their colors? They are eye catching. And I don't want any attention."
You can't change the colors. It's racial traits.
He suddenly understood.
"Does that mean I discovered a new sub race? What is this race?" he got excited all of a sudden.
You will see what race after you do the next step.
"So what is the next step?" excitement to the max.
Okay. Next, go the the first table. There right your desired name of your avatar on the parchment paper.
He wrote "Romulus" eagerly.
"Do I also have to write a last name?" he then asked.
Last name are unnecessary but if you want you can.
"Nevermind."
After writting his name, new letters and numbers appeared on the paper. It displayed his name, his level, race et cetera. In short, he saw his
status menu.

Then the paper burned away.
Normally all the starting basic stats are only 10 each. Then after choosing a race, there will be bonus stats given. And because your race is an ancient race, you were given great boosts on stats and a frighteningly wonderful skill.
"A chaos elf. Even if I don't know what that is. I like it already! I wanna try this avatar already, and start playing for real now."
Well then, next step. You have to choose a city you wanted on the map there on the second table.
He went to the table with the map.
You can only choose the realm of you race, Elven. And you can only choos cities. Big, small or even a capital city.
"Okay."
Romulus then placed the figurine on the map in the city of Calradea.
I will confirm. You have choosen Calradea. Once you leave this room you will be at Calradea.
The door to your right side will lead you to the room leading Calradea, to Nuvos Mundo. Now, take the back pack.
Romulus then took the back pack. Folded the map and put it in the back pack.
Waaii---Wait. Whhaa-Wha-What are you doing?
"This map will be useful in the future." he said.
But once other users knows of its existence and the importance, you will be targeted. That map is the only one map of the whole of Novus Mundo.
"I know, that's why I'll only use it when i'm alone."
You really are crazy, you know. No other users thought that they can take the map with them. If the first users ever took the map, they would be dominating many regions by now.
"Thanks. I'll take care of it."
Then he went back to the first table and took the quill and the bottle ink.
"This will be useful for future communication." he said.
Unbelievable. Really, you're---- whatever.
"Hahahaha. No rules said i can't take them."
Perhaps you might also want to take the portraits?
"No thanks. I'll be heading to the next room then. Bye Einstein."
Romulus headed to the next room. In the next room, he saw 10 plain breads and a canteen of water on the table inside that room.
Picked and packed them on his back pack. Then there was yet another door. 'Door again? Is Einstein playing tricks at me?' he thought.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
He then opened the door and his ears perked up as he hears a bustling city square was just outside the building he's in.
Although it is night time too inside the game, the city streets and the square are filled with ligths.
He could feel the sorrounding. 'Amazing!' he thought as he smelled the scent of the city,
and the cold even inside the building, but in the center is a firestand for lighting and heat.
He turned around. There was no more door, not even walls. He was inside a pavilion.
Inside the pavilion was a guard sitting on his chair was dozing off.
He went and talked to the guard "Where do I get weapons?"
The guard woke up.
-- Whoa! Easy there young one. Not every one is destined to follow the path arts of war. That's why for young ones like you,
you need to stay withing the city walls for a month to first find your trade. Either you're gonna be on the path of the crafts or war.
Use the time wisely and efficiently. It will be your lifeline on your future journeys. --
"Thank you for the advice, mr.?"
-- Oh! How rude of me, sorry about that. I'm Eldur Silverspear, and you young man are? --
The guard returned the question to him.
"Romulus."
-- Well young Romulus. It's winter right now. Once you go out of this room you'll feel it much colder outside. --
"Thanks for the warning. But I've got to do make best of what i have right now. Even just these rags will be better than
nothing at all."
-- Here. This will help you. --
Guard Eldur took off and reached out his hooded cloak to Romulus to give it to him.
A system message then popped out in front of Romulus.
Item TradeEldur SilverspearRomulusElven Hooded Cloak
Accepting trade offers are simple. You take them if you want, or simply refuse.
'Wow! That 10 reps is pretty helpful eh.'
He thought excitingly.
"Thanks Mr. Eldur! It should keep me warm in this weather. But what about you Mr. Eldur?"
He accepted the cloak but still voiced out his concern.
-- Oh don't worry, I've got lots back in my house. Or I could just by new ones. --
"Thanks. Is there anything I could do to repay your kindness?"
-- Nothing really. I'm just happy to be of help to young ones. And you are fortunate that I was the one poster here today.
Other guards are not as kind as I am. --
"So it means this is not your permanent post?"
-- `Course not. Everyday we switch our posts as to get more accustomed with guarding duty or patrol duty. --
"Oh, okay. Again Mr. Eldur, many thanks. I am really fortunate to have talked with you. I think I'll be going no.
Please remember, if one day you need help, I'll be there right away and do what best I can do."
-- Okay, if you insist. Farewell then. Becareful out there, even inside the city walls is not safe against criminals. --
"Thank you, I'll remember that. See you when I see you Mr. Eldur."
He then checked the items bonuses.

The name of the item was white, indicating that it is a common item.

Romulus went outside and a system message came out again.
Status EffectCold (Natural Weather)+ 50% damage dealt by Water and Ice Magics- 10 movement speed- 10 attack speed- 10 Health per second
'Wow. So weathers and climates are also a factor? What a game.'
"Cold" weather struck him, but still he was amazed by it.
Natural Weathers cannot be prevented or stopped like magics.
You can only avoid them by appropriate means of equipments or shelters.
He equipped the cloak that was given to him. It gave him protection against cold and of course additional defense.
It also somehow hides his tattooes. Because he does not want to attract attention, the cloak became more useful than just protection.
As the night grows, the streets started clearing up with people and became dimmer as lights went out. Even though it's night,
Romulus doesn't feel sleepy. He noticed many players are going out of the city walls. He then asked a player passing by him,
"Where are you going?"
-Newbie or re-starter?
"Re-starter?" his eye brows meet noting his cluelessness.
-Wow, for newb to have a cloak? Or some friend helped you?
"Uh-yes! A friend gave me money. So i bought a cloak."
-Okay. Well you see. At night, you get more exp. +50% of total exp you get when hunting at night. Then it becomes +75% during the three hours span from midnight.
But the downside, the mobs gets +100% power also all night. So its better to party up during night hunts.
"Really? Thanks for the info."
-You gonna hunt too? You can join in our party. We're willing to help newbs like you.
We were newbs once too, yeah? So we're willing to help other newbs.
"Thanks for the offer, but nope. Still level 1. And not much battle experience, I'll just be a hindrance."
-Yeah. Usually, at lvl 5 we already joined others for night hunts.
"Okay, well I wouldn't want to keep you here. Good luck on your hunts."
-Yeah. Get to lvl 5 already so you could have the real fun. hahahaha.
And the other player who never said his name runs to the gate to meet his party.
Almost an hour had passed. He's just wandering around the city, sight seeing.
He learned that the city is divided in two by the Danudal River, and further into four districts:
Market District, Military District, Lower District and the Upper District.
The city square is located in the market district, that's why it was noisy and bustling when he arrived. All the craft and production
shops and guilds are located in here. The district is located in the east-central part of the city.
The lower district is located in the eastern most part of the city. Here is some Taverns and Inns and all the elven commoner's houses.
Some 2 some 3 stories high. There are two noticable building in the Commoner's District, the cathedral of the sun god Sol and the
Arena. There in the arena are the sword instructor and the bow instructor and also magic instructors.
This is where newbies who wants to follow the path of the arts of war. Not in the military district. While the craft and productions,
needless to say, is in the market district. There was also a small library here.
The military district is across Danudal in west-central. There located is the Governor's Mansion, the governor is addressed as "Lord".
In front of the mansion is another city square. There are two city squares in Calradea, one each on the two halves of the city.
And across the 2nd city square is the city barracks. Beside the barracks is the training field on each side. On the left side is
the melee training field while on the right is the range training field. Then there's the chapel of the god of war, Axe.
The god of the soldiers. Beside the chapel is a large library for mages and wizards of the city's soldiers.
The upper district has a wall of its own. Although not higher than the city walls. This district has its own wall.
Guarded by the elite squads of soldiers. Thus making Romulus think of it as the district of the elites of society of Calradea.
He never got to explore this district.
And after 4 hours of exploration. It's already midnight.
'+75% exp nightly event start!' he thought. 'The instructors aren't here. Maybe tomorrow.'
He visited the arena. There was no one. He returned to where he first arrived, the pavilion. The firestand is still lit.
Eldur is no longer there. 'Maybe he went home or to the barracks. Guess I'll just sleep here then.'
And as he was laying down, ahe heard a familiar voice.
-- Hahaha. Back so soon eh? You're not going night hunting? --
"I'm still weak. I'll just let the night pass while I sleep here. Uhm, can I sleep here?" he aske Eldur.
-- Sure. Since you have nowhere else to go. And I can't bring you to our quarters to have you rest there. --
"Thanks. Here is all fine."
He closed his eyes and a message popped.
Guarded ZoneAvatar guarded.Log out now?
Yes
No
'Yes'
And he was logged out.
"So sleeping inside the game is also logging out? Guess I'll have to learn more about the game in 1 hour and then return to the game immediately."
Since 1:4 is the game time ratio.
After an hour outside the game. He logged back in. Eldur is no longer there.
And it was 4:30 at dawn now in Calradea.
As he logged in, he felt hungry so he ate a bread to fill his hunger. Drink from his canteen. The canteen was emptied. He fills it in
the public fountains scattered through out the city. He then strolls more around the city exploring it once again. After 2 hours,
he then went to the Arena and the instructors were already there.
There are many instructors, Sword and Shield, Daggers, Bow and Crossbow, Throwing, and Magic instructors.
He first talked to the Sword and Shield Instructor. Asked for two-handed sword training. And finished his basic training faster than other users.
It was a simple block, parry, and attack using two-handed sword. The instructor was impressed and asked him to go and join the tournament.
But he refused asking if he could be instructed to sword and shield next. The instructor complied, and again finish his traing in
less than ten minutes. After all of that he was given a Longsword, a Shortsword and a Stout Shield.
Level Up!
+5 Unassigned Stat Points
Level Up!
+5 Unassigned Stat Points
Plus, he also gains a level for each training. Thus gaining 2 levels and 10 unassigned stat points. 5 stat points per level.
"I think I'll go... 3:1:1? I think 2:2:1 is better." he then assigned the stat points. A total of 4 for both strenght and dexterity,
and 2 points goes to vitality. "I'll compensate other stats through items bonuses and others."
-- These items are for your comlpetion of the Basic Traing of the Sword Mastery. --
Then a bell chime and a message.
DING!
Basic Sword Mastery achieved.
Skills acquiredTwo-handed Weapon Mastery (Beginner Level 1)(Passive)Two-handed swordsman are the most devastating warriors,
dealing massive damage to enemies that might even split
them into two.+ 4% damage when weilding two-handed weapons+ 1% attack speed when weilding two-handed weapons
One-handed Weapon Mastery (Beginner Level 1)(Passive)Knights are one-handed weapon masters, thus making them
formidable warriors with one-handed weapon and a shield.+ 4% damage when weilding one-handed weapons+ 3% attack speed on one-handed weapons
"Sweet. Gaining levels along with the items and skills. Two-handed long sword... Hm."
He then equipped the longsword. And by his curiousity, he wore the shield on his back underneath the cloak.
"WHOA! This is also possible?"
"Status!" he looked at his stat menu and the defense given by the shield applied. And what's more? It gave a bonus effect.
Backstab Damage Reduction - damage reduction depends on the shield's defense potential.
"WHOA WHOA WHOA! WAIT! I don't have to celebrate. There might be others who also have already exploited this fact."
He was talking to himself where there are no other elves, NPCs or Users.
He then tried to equip the shortsword thus dual weilding the two-handed longsword and the shortsword. Many users have alreay done this kind of dual weilding.
Some even tried two two-handed weapons. But no one sticked to this strategy. Because the penalty is so great,
-75% of total attack speed, -60% of total damage for both items. After seeing his stats drop, just like his shield,
he put his longsword on his back. Weilding only the shortsword. The shield is hidden away from sight by the cloak.
After all that hype, he went back to the Dagger Instructor. Dual weilding a dagger is much harder than he thought it would be.
It is also just the same as sword and shield. But much harder and more on parrying than blocking.
Parrying is harder than blocking but the damage recieve is smaller compared to blocking with daggers. He had trouble at first because of
the short reach of the dagger. And after 30 minutes of training with a dagger, he understood that dagger users should always be on the offensive.
Or they will be what he was like a while ago. But nonetheless, he was able to complete the training. Also gained a level and 2 daggers.
Since daggers are one-handed weapons, his One-handed Weapon skill gained a level.
One-handed Weapon Mastery (Beginner Level 2)(Passive)Knights are one-handed weapon masters, thus making them
formidable warriors with one-handed weapon and a shield.+ 4.1% damage when weilding one-handed weapons+ 3.1% attack speed on one-handed weapons
He equipped one of the dagger dual weilding it with the shortsword. The other dagger was put in the back pack.
Then proceeds again to a new instructor, the Bow and Crossbow Instructor.
In the real world, during his junior year of high school, he was a part of the archery club. So he could say he had expeirence.
And it should be easy since he is an elf. He finished the training and said that's all he needs. He gained another level.
While only recieving a bow and a quiver full with arrows. He gained another skill.
Bow Mastery (Beginner Level 1)(Passive)The elven race are the most accurate archers there is.
Every shot is sure to hit a target accurately and
precisely.+ 4% damage when weilding a bow+ 3% attack speed when weilding a bow
He was also able to equip the bow and quiver.
-- What a young man. He was able to complete 4 basic trainings. --
-- You said it. I wish to see him compete in the arena utilizing all that he'd learn from us. --
-- I wish he also learned Lightning Magics from me. --
The instructors were awestrucked by his amazing talents. He left the arena instructors gaining 4 level and 3 skills.
And a bunch of items.
* Chipped Elven Longsword
* Chipped Elven Arming Sword
* Battered Stout Shield
* Chipped Elven Dagger x2
* Bent Elven Bow
* Arrow Quiver
After his basic training with the arena instructors, he set his eyes on the next training grounds.
"I forgot to read the book I have here. I'll read it while I head there to the Barracks."
...to be continued.
