Prologue

There's no winner in war. Everyone loses, everyone was defeated. Somehow, it had been a year after the war ended. One of the worst wars of humanity that will judge their future, they were almost been defeated. A ten-year-long war, with the prerequisite of two years of the battle of freedom. Now, the world was situated in an awkward peace. The peace that everyone must be friendly with each other; prey to its predator, slaves to a slaver, and victims to its oppressors.

Anno Domini Nostri Jesu Christi 2041

Under the almost ruin cross standing on the top of the mountain, a man who was in his 50s. There was also a woman that was like a little older than him. The man couldn't be helped to sigh deeply for the devastation that happened. The place they were standing was the last place they took before the peace woke.

"The war destroyed most of the creations. The world was already on the verge of collapse. Many species were pushed to extinction. What will happen it there was also a war in the future? Will the world will truly fall?" the man spoke in agony while looking on the devastated mountain.

"It was true that the war pushed the world on the verge of collapse. The destructive war due to the series of technological weapons used against us. There will be no future for us, humanity if the war didn't happen. This peace might look awkward to everyone but for us, it was the best solution. That was the best thing we could do now," the woman beside him consoled him.

"But the future? The humanity will be caught unprepared. Our people will be betrayed and it will be bleak," the man spoke his fear like he had known the future.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Yes, it might be true. We can still prepare our successors for the future and that was all we can do. As Our Lord said, we should let the future worry it's own. You already did what could be done so let future decide for itself," the woman consoled once again.

The man smiled grimly.

"Yes, we should let them decide for the future. We could only prepare them," the man spoke and looked towards the blue sky.

Anno Domini 2161

A boy was taken out from his home forcefully by the men in white.

"Please! Please forgive them!" the boy begged as he knew what will happen tonight.

One of the men took a handkerchief from his back pocket and half kneeled to the boy. He sorrowfully looked to the boy and wiped his tears.

"I'm sorry, kid. We just need to do our job. We can't let them do as they wished. They had done something that threatened the world and its people," the man tried to console and justified their actions.

"But you can just imprison them," the boy begged.

The man shooked his head.

"No, their threat, while they're still alive, was too much of simple imprisonment to handle. We can't just let them jailbreak and threaten more innocent people. We are just doing what was good..." the man's explanation was cut when he was called by his higher up.

"Commander, read the resolution." the man who was also in white coldly commanded.

The man cleared his throat and took the piece of paper from the other men with them.

"You, xxxxx and xxxxx, had been found that tried to summon the devil in the realms of the world not just once but already trice in succession. What have you'd done was categorize as Extremely High danger to the World and its peace with the vote of the 5 out of 6 Powers in agreement with your execution. Hereby, thew General of Offense and Investigative Powers condemned both of you to death and your properties will be confiscated. Let it be sealed!" the Commander declared.

"No!" the boy's cry could be heard.

The boy's legs felt limped after seeing his parents beheaded.
