Like a child, playing around alone in the empty graveyard. You’re filled with curiosity to see just what exactly lies in that box of immortality, where one enters and lives a lavish life surrounded with all of his best memories. Just what exactly makes it so good that you don’t ever want to get up from that wooden box made of solitude?
Jumping in to see, filled with excitement and with a smile on your face you explored. Just what exactly lies in this wooden box of secrets ?
Excitement turns uncertainty, for the box is dark and filled with faces of whom you don’t seem to remember.
Uncertainty turns into fear, as you slowly begin to unravel the mystery behind the box.
Greeted by a man with a mask bowing you are now humble, bowing down in exchange in front of your new neighbour in this lonely box of wood.
The man greets you with an honest smile on his mask, he welcomes you to your new home introducing himself as truth.
He takes you by the hand and with his grin comforting you in your solitude you start to follow abruptly.
You’re led to the moment you first got in trouble when you were a kid.
“It’s all going to be fine.”
You tell yourself.
You look at truth with his beautiful shiny mask in confusion, yet he doesn’t respond.
You move even more and you see the first time you ever felt truly happy around your loved ones.
That moment, that exact moment. You thought it would last a lifetime, for you wanted to hang onto it in fear of your hurt returning.
You smile, knowing that these were fond memories of your beloved past.
Truth giggles and yet he continues without saying a word.
Moving forward through the corridor light becomes dim, and the air is now humid.
Your breath becomes more and more scarce, and you start to wonder if that’s because you’re still inside the wooden box of unfulfilled wishes.
Truth finally says something so you pay attention.
“ the truth flows.”
He says as he’s pointing at the teenage you arguing with someone in the corner of the room.

You recall this moment, yet it’s very hazy, as you’ve tried hard to suppress it.
You look at him now drowning in confusion as to why he’s showing you these memories, yet you still follow him through the narrow corridor of this wooden box.
As he finally reaches the end of the corridor he showed you a scene you’re very familiar with.
Just 10 minutes ago, when you reached this Graveyard, with your toys In hand playing ever so carefree in the dug up cemetery grounds.
You question truth for the reason he showed you this. He looks at you with his bright smile slowly fading away, suddenly the ever so cheerful smile he always wore on his mask has now become a glum and depressing frown.
You begin to get scared of truth as he’s now not wearing the bright smile you’re used to. he now once again bowed down and introduced himself with a new name.
“Time”
Your questions arise more and more as time signals you to follow him as he descended further and further down this wooden box.
Time shows you the exact same moments as truth, yet now only one thing is new here.
Time showed you the exact moment you reached here.
You didn’t come to this Graveyard alone, and you certainly did not come to play with toys.
A black van full of black shadows comes carrying the body of a person who looks extremely like you.
With a face of a 21 year old adult, you wore a smile on your face. Your smile, it was ever so victorious, Seeming as if you’ve won even in death. nothing could stop you, for now you’ve finally reached your goal.
You begin to question time, as you’re unable to believe that this body belongs to you. After all you came here willingly, to have fun and play with your toys.
Time looks at you, and with a mournful smile and a tear down his eye says.
“ The truth flows through the river of time.”
Seemingly continuing what truth has said.
Time flips his mask, and while waving his hands over it the mask completely turns blank.
The masked person introduces himself as life. And with his blank slate for a face you can’t fathom what he thinks of, unlike the rest who giggled or at least showed a sympathetic smile.
Life heads up the stairs you just descended, guiding you throughout the same disdained memories yet appearing to explain things to you as you walk.
You never firmly believed that things could get better, yet you always lied to yourself and said it was the truth.
You thought that you were surrounded by people you loved and that exact moment would last forever, yet time was never that forgiving.
Over a little dispute you fell apart from built up stress and all the people you loved were nowhere to be found, leaving you to suffer alone. and that’s when you surrendered to life....
Yet Life is indifferent.
No matter if you’re good, no matter if you’re bad, if you give up on life, none of it will matter.
Life finally broke out of character for a second, and it was just to mock you and those who’ve given up on it.
Life is indifferent, if you give up or not, none of it will matter.
Life doesn’t change if you ask it to. Life goes on.
Yet a question assembles in your head.
“what about the last memory ?”
Life turns it’s head to you and says
“It’s you, it’s you my dear, you’re the 4th memory.”
You begin to wonder what life means.
Life goes ahead and gives you a big hug, he looks at you and grabs your cheeks and says.
“ the truth flows in the river of time, and just like a pebble, if you don’t grow strong enough, your impact on the stream of time will be abysmal.”
You slowly close your eyes and as if you’re in a state of tranquillity you start to look from the masked man’s perspective. He no longer wears the blank mask, but instead he’s wearing your ever so victorious smile.
Yet something feels wrong, for some reason you begin to wonder.
Am I really the Victor in this ?
