Kalida was distraught, a mix of emotions flooded his already confused brain, but before he could completely
comprehend his situation the beast descended upon them.
"Kalida snap out of it!"
The huntress screeched at him.
But it was of no use, as a long crimson unnatural-looking snake creature had laid waste to all the trees in front of it.
"That thing~ it's not even feasible!?"
Kalida had but a moment, one singular moment to react to the giant snake's onslaught, his mind flickered to every possibility trying to find a way to escape its strike and yet it was for naught.
In a blink Kalida was suddenly floating gracefully, high above the snake's attack.
"Hey~! Try not to move too much i can't hold moving objects very long."
She said with a pained groan, her arm outstretched towards Kalida.
In a flash, the grotesque crimson snake was already upon the young huntress its gaping jaw ready to swallow her whole until…
"Hey!"
A voice resounded from above alerting the Snake.
Kalida had already begun his plummet toward the ground, and yet the young man appeared to be completely calm with his fate.
Seeing the young man approaching the ground the crimson terror moved with incredible speeds to engulf him whole… and succeeded.
The Huntress regained her posture and moved at incredible speeds towards the terror, and yet it was far too late.
"Goddamit, I already lost a new recruit. Khyle is gonna be pissed…"
****
Kalida squirmed as the damned snake continued to try and force him down, its insides just as crimson as its outside sharp organ-like substances exuded from all around him.
"Honestly today has been such a mess."
The young man sat in the middle of the snake's ginormous gut surrounded by what was soon alongside him going to be more sustenance for the beast. Until a Crimson light formed around the young man's palm.
"What's going on?'
But before he could finish that thought a burst of flames erupted from his once glowing hand.
"Holy Hell! My hand's on fire!!"
Kalida tried to flail his hand in vain attempting to put out the never-ending fire but suddenly the flames took shape forming a wall of text in front of his face.

"Interesting. It seems I finally became awakened. I got the rarest Speciality type Tamer! Not sure how much it'll help me with my current predicament but…"
As Kalida finished this thought the text on the screen suddenly changed.
[Scarlet Pyre]
[Ability Rank:6]
[Description: The will of the ancient Forbidden sect of blood was passed down through millennia, its strength shaking all within the divine plain. And yet its [Fate] seems to be in that of an unfit host. You must mold its legacy and prove you are worthy of its lineage.]
After reading the passage Kalida simply dismissed the floating tablet and tried to arrange his thoughts.
"Well… That was confusing. My abilities description was way too vague, it didn't even give me a clue on how to use it. Judging by how I'm a tamer I must be able to conjure something? Maybe like an animal."
As Kalida paced around the gelatinous mass within the snake, an idea suddenly formed within his cunning mind.
"Whelp I've read a couple of novels with similar premises to this so I might as well try this.
The young man outstretched his left hand tightly closed his eyes then muttered.
" Awaken, Blood Feind."
Suddenly Kalida felt a surge from deep within his lower abdomen. His blood boiled. The young man's eyes spasmed as they gained a new red hue they glowed incandescently appearing as red hot rubies. And then a row of semi-translucent knives formed around his hand.
Kalida grasped at one of the knives and suddenly its form had become completely corporeal the rest disappearing as the other formed.
"It worked! The summoning process is quite simple. I just had to envision my summon before simply willing it to appear."
Suddenly the dagger in his hand started to jolt a jitter as though it had a mind of its own. Kalida tried to hold the handle of the crimson dagger but it simply forced its way out of his grasp.
"Come on. Why can't anything be easy in this damned place?"
The young man said venomously.
"Listen, floating dagger heed my call!"
But the auburn artifact simply flew around in a circle completely ignoring its master's command.
Suddenly a quake shook the entirety of the crimson terror Kalida resided in. It seemed as though Cass had begun her onslaught on the enormous beast.
"Listen to me dagger it would be very helpful if you would just cooperate otherwise we'll both be snake food in a couple of minutes."
And yet the dagger simply continued its never-ending spin.
"Fine, I'll just have to force you to yield then."
And with that Kali sprinted toward the object determined to contain its vigor. As he approached the artifact a sudden growl resounded behind him. A giant crocodile-like reptilian began sprinting towards him its jaw unhinged showing at least 12 rows of unsightly misshapen teeth and azure eyes that glow like diamonds.
"You've got to be kidding me. Hey, Magic dagger! Right now would be a great time for some help."
He said with a nervous tone. And yet the lazy dagger simply continued its spin.
"Seems I can't depend on that useless thing. My physicality seemed to improve after conjuring the dagger. But I still don't think I can beat that thing without a weapon"
But before Kali could finish his plan the monster was already upon him. Its giant mouth snapped almost taking his entire hand with it. Kalida rolled backward attempting to evade the giant reptile, the beast simply continued its march towards him wagging its scaly tail in excitement.
"That thing is monstrous. But it doesn't seem to be very intelligent."
With that thought, Kalida began running toward the croc facing him head-on.
"Well then. Let's see what you can really do Big teeth."
Kalida and the croc headed for a direct collision but at the last second the young man pushed himself off the floor with all his might, the beast attempted to follow his movements, and yet it was futile its stature simply made it impossible to reach the young kindle.
"I've got you now!"
Kali landed on the reptile's back and held it for dear life he then muttered something.
"Come forth, Blood fiend."
Then a familiar row of knives appeared around the kindle's hand. Seizing the opportunity he summoned a dagger, and wasting no time he plunged the crimson dagger into the croc's eye no less than a second later the dagger whimsically flew away from Kalida's hand and continued its tireless spin.
Immediately it reacted throwing him off in a violent shake sending the young man into one of the fleshy walls of the snake's hellish stomach.
"Grahh! Dammit, I didn't reach its brain!"
The young man got up and watched as the now half-blind creature tried to reorient itself. Within seconds the reptile was already back to its onslaught on the Kindle.
"Why won't this damned dagger respond to my commands?"
Yet he had no time to ponder the answer to his own question as the danger was already pressing against him once more.
The animal was attacking with vigorous strength using any means to attack its prey, claws, teeth, and even its tail were being used as a whirlwind of pain to snuff out its attacker in front of it. Kalida continued to dodge its attacks until…
The inevitable occurred the beast had finally managed to injure its prey. Swinging its tail with lightning speed the croc slammed Kali into the fleshy wall once more almost crushing his ribs in the process and making his senses go dull for a second. A mouthful of blood and vomit formed in Kalida's throat threatening to be released all over himself as he struggled to get up from the deadly attack.
"I—need to get ready for its next attack… I… I can feel myself slipping."
The young man's consciousness was wavering almost threatening to leave him as the pain built up. And yet something within him screamed at him to get up. He couldn't die here how could he throw away his life when it had just started? And so with all his might, the young man screamed out:
"Listen to me my dagger. Heed your master's call! Cut down the ugly bastard in front of me."
Finally, with that command, it seemed as though the ember construct had realized that its master was indeed worthy of its use. The crimson dagger moved in a blur, its movements almost unperceivable as it jabbed itself into the moving beast, and then in a beautiful display the dagger exploded raining down what could only be described as tiny drops of blood which then molded into a thousand needles each impaling the grotesque creature in every vital organ possible.
Kalida stared in awe as he couldn't believe the horrifying spectacle that had just happened next to him and yet he still couldn't relish in the death of the beast for long as his injuries had finally caught up to him.
He was bleeding out, and fast.
