in the center of a barren land of cracked earth and stone. a small patch lit up.
in the center of the patch was a hut, an ornate stone circle next to it, and a young man in front of the house.
...
and there he was, alive and kicking again. back in another world...
Alto stared at the barren wasteland with trepidation and helplessness.
well he sure wasn't expecting another travel
"..."
with another sigh he yield to his situation and appraise his surroundings.
"status"
"panel"
"system"
"..."
He tried to see if he was in a system based world but nothing worked.
Alto then turns and looks around. a barren land, with nothing but reddish-brown dirt and rock. nothing special but the house and what looks like a summoning circle.
he observed the house. a wooden hut, two windows on the right side wall, and a locked chest on the back, "'weird hut". he thought
"identify"
"panel"
he also tried if he could see item descriptions on the chest but no response.
with more apprehension he then stop by the summoning circle. and tried the same but still no reaction.
accepting that he is in a world without a system, he finished observing his surrounding and tried his luck with the house.
Alto knocked on the door and when he didn't hear a respond he turned the knob to see if he can come in.
the door opened and inside was a simple room. a bed, a study desk, a chair, and another locked chest.
it seems like the house was newly build and wasn't lived in by anyone, "strange".
he went in and sat on the bed.
"yea, this is an unused house, and that was an unused summoning circle. in the middle of nowhere without a system web and no one around to ask questions."
"a strange and bad start to a new travel"
Alto then lay on the bed staring at the ceiling contemplating what action to do next.
Welcome to the Plane of Heroes
Congratulation on being chosen as a Hero by the Scattered Gods.
then a system screen appeared before Alto forcing him to stare at attention. it then continued to lit up with more screens.
Hero, you are given a Title of a [Territory Governor]
Hero, you are conferred
[Governor Hut]
[Summoning Circle]
[Random Talent]
Participate in the Gods trial and take ownership of this Plane.
Fight off the Azure Shroud that infects the plane.
And be the sole owner by fight off other Heroes.
Go forth and make your mark!
Alto took everything in and looked a little ugly.
this wasn't the Plane of Heroes. and he might have traveled to a paradox.
to test his theory he shouted "I̷̧̧̟̭͉̩̝̤̗̒̀͝ ̵̩̝͚̼̔̂͛̕̚͝͠ī̸̻̼̰͖͙̟̻̍͝ͅͅm̸͕̞͍̺̫̝͉͕͖͌̿̍̓̓͑͝p̴̼̮̩͎̑̄̌̆̅̆̐ő̷̱̟̑͐̽r̷͙̫̖̩̺̥̟̣̰͂̀͐̅͐e̶̺̙̔̌͛͆̈́͠ ̵̰̼͚̲̈́̈́̇̓̋ͅt̶̛͓͈̳̗̥̟̮̱̓͊̌͛̀͝ͅḧ̷͚̯̳͓͝͠ͅę̵̡̝̤̐̏ ̷̳͎̭̲͆̾̈̊͗͑͘̕T̵͈̼͉͍̺̻̼͇̻̠͝r̸̡̈́̀͌̓̀i̸̡̧̛͚͍̣̟̤̠̦̅̋̍̆̈́͠͝a̷̯̻̝̼͈̦̥̪̹͆d̵͈̪̜̗̮̼̟̤̈́̀-̶̩̖̊̈́̉̾̑̀̇̌̀̚" and the words that came out of his mouth lagged and sputter like it had a hard time coming out of his mouth.
"yup, definitely not part of the Triad Cycle.".
Then his eyes lit up. traveling into a paradox was hard come by. it comes with a lot of opportunities.
a paradox is a reality that slip out of the Triad Cycle. so anything offered by a paradox is yours to take.
and one thing that is certain. a plane is very valuable.
he wanted to win this plane.
figuring out his goal he ascertained what to do.
he has a territory... a barren territory!
This is undoubtedly a bad start.
he came out of the door and a new screen lit up.
A week long novice protection period is granted.
During this week, your territory will be protected by a [Protective Shield (Tin-Low Level) ] from hostile forces.
Afterward, monster forces from the Azure Shroud will invade your territory as the first test.
Just as Alto finished reading. A thin see-through bubble surrounded the boundary of his territory.
"seven days huh"
"looks like a tight schedule."
Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
He looked dignified.
"let me look at the territory status first."
Alto looked around the room and sat down in the chair and came to the desk. Then a screen appears before him
Building Governor Hut Building Level Tin-Lower Level Building Function General Territory Functions General Governor Function

"talent huh, i wonder what i'll get"
"i hope i get something good"
Alto then selected to get a talent
a golden light fell around him and a new screen appeared before him
Please select talent level
CAUTION!
select tier at your own digression
he frowns and took a look at what this is about.
"so the levels are Tin Level, Lead Level, Copper Level, Silver Level, Gold Level, Titanium Level, Palladium Level, Mythril Level, Orichalcum Level, Adamantine Level"
"the higher the level the higher risk"
"for example getting a adamantine level talent you have a one percent chance of getting it, a ten percent chance of getting a tin level talent and eighty nine percent of getting no talent..."
"those are steep chances, anything titanium and above has chances of getting no talent"
"and anything gold and below has a guaranteed lord talent"
"..."
"do i gamble it? gold level looks like a good gamble with a chance of getting either a tin or lead"
"or go all out for a adamantine?"
he took some time to consider the choices. then he chose to gambled for a higher level talent and went for a orichalcum.
"orichalcum... a five percent chance for orichalcum, thirty chance for a tin, and sixty five chance for no talent"
as he made his choice a screen appeared before him.
choice made
Orichalcum Level Governor Talent
Rolling
Alto looked on as a huge dice with colored number tiles appeared and started rolling
with rapt attention and nervousness he watched as it slowly came to a halt at a tile
golden and with the number three in it.
Alto was pleasantly surprised as he successfully gain a Orichalcum Level Governor Talent.
Governor Talent Loot Goblin Orichalcum Level Function You can see the loot rate, and when touching corpses, chest and anything with loot probability, there is a 100% chance to get all the loot.
giddy with excitement he shouted with happiness.
"The effect of 100% loot rate is too outrageous right?!"
"watched out wor-Plane! Alto is here to win this plane home!"
Alto was super ecstatic.
as a traveler that lived through five lives. he didn't expect this falling good luck.
he honetly thought to just pick a semi high risk just to know how bad his luck this time around.
but... but it came around this time.
After calming down a bit, he went to do more thing in the territory.
Arriving before the gate of summoning Alto looked at the summoning circle and the silver screen appeared again.
Building Name Summoning Circle Building Level Tin-Lower Level Building Function General Territory Summoning You can summon 5 native in the Hero Plane from the Summoning Gate every day. they will be your [Territoiry Resident ]. Seeing the Summon icon, with a thought Alto chose to summon right away.
He doesn't have much combat power himself. and after seven days, he will need the help of his people to deal with the monster forces.
Next second. The summoning circle suddenly lit up with a bright white light, after which a shiny void door opened above it. and then five people walked out from inside.
"Our Liege!"
After the five people came out, they immediately bowed ninety degrees and said respectfully when they saw Alto.
He nods at them and asked them to look back up.
the five people straighten back up and sized up their liege. and Alto did the same to them.
Among the five people, there are three men and two women.
Among them, a man and a woman are both low class tin chefs, who seem to be husband and wife.
The two other man and woman have no occupations and seem to be of average physique.
The last man is an archer and the only professional soldier among the five.
He was wearing a standard leather armor set, a standard bow and arrow on his back, and a short sword on his waist.
He has a heroic handsome face and sharp eyes, a nice proportioned toned body and a heroic aura.
Alto looked at him and blushed a bit at how handsome he was. weird, but he continued looking as he went to look at his status
The status panel of the other party appear.

Jack looked at Alto and nodded at him and called out to him
"My Liege"
Alto nodded back and thought "this is a person with combat power that can deal with fog monsters and other lords".
He looked at the summoned native and his future allies and made his announcement.
"My Name is Alto"
"Welcome everyone to our humble territory"
"This territory will be our asylum and I hope the we can help each other and fight for the battle of conflicts that will occur periodically."
"And i will do the best i can to provide for the territory and show you all how we will rise above all conflicts and prosper!"
the five people looked at Alto with heated gaze and shouted a war cry. "HIYA!" "HIYA!" "HIYA!"
Alto looked at them kinda surprised at their over enthusiasm but brushed his suspicion off and nodded at them.
then from the distance a loud sound resonated in the air
"boom!"
"boom!"
"boom!"
