A bright green light starts to glow from her hand.

The flow of energy then creates a circle of some sort in front of her with a bunch of symbols written on it.

"This is a demonic circle. It's one way of manifesting the powers of the devil.

You can do a crazy amount of things with magical circles but that heavily depends on one's energy span and the amount of control they have over their energy.

Demonic circles are more of an ability that every devil possesses.

Many have their own special abilities and you seem to have one as well.

So, Sueharu-kun.. raise your hand, close your eyes and focus.."

I do as Yokou tells me.

"Now, focus.. and try to reach out to your inner strength.."

I once again suddenly appear in that dark and obscure place..

What is this place.. is this my mind ?

A distorted voice echoes through the place but.. I don't understand what it is even saying. It’s all just incoherent words and sounds constantly reverberating all around this empty space.

What... My hand suddenly starts moving on its own and starts pulling something from the void itself.

Suddenly I'm back in reality, but now I'm holding a katana in my hand.

A katana with an elegant dark sheath and a hilt covered with some kind of symbols .

"Hm, interesting.."

| After that, Yokou tells ayato that she will personally train in him in the way of the sword.. but before that, he has to learn how to properly use his energy and summon magical and demonic circles

For some reason he isn't capable of summoning magical circles and controlling or manifesting his energy.|

"Hmm.. it seems like you can only summon your sword and nothing else.. strange."

Said Sakura

And here I thought I was special-

Pfff- what am I saying?

"The seal you have on your left hand is just there for your safety, so therefore it shouldn't completely block your powers off.. hmm, I will have to think about this later.

"So, what should I do now, though.." I ask nervously.

"Well... Oh, yea! Kagami is going to run some errands, so you should go with him."

"Ehhh.. I don't want to bother him though.."

Says kagami after appearing out of nowhere right behind me.

"Jeez.. that scared the hell out of me."

"Hey.. Yokou.. was it just me or did that sword have a really strange presence?"

Sakura asks.

"Yea.. I felt it too.. the power of that weapon is really impressive. We should keep an eye on that. He will be fine now. He's with Kagami, after all."

I really don't know what I should say. I mean, he seems like a really laid back person but I don't think I should..

Ughhh what do I do?

"Sooo... Where are we going?"

I ask quietly.

"Oh, we are going to get some stuff for dinner."

"Wait, what???"

He looks at me.

"Yea, of course. I usually cook as well so I need some stuff to buy."

He says casually.

And here I thought we would do something cool or interesting..

Siggghh.

"Hey, Kagami-san."

"How come that I just turned into a devil a few days ago but people have been scared of me ever since I was a little kid?"

I look down and sigh.

He says and puts his hand on my shoulder.

Well that was.. really expensive.. jeez

"Where is all that money from??!!"

"Oh, Yokou comes from a rich family."

"Ehh, really??"

I say, but then I suddenly realize that we aren't going back to Yokou’s house but to some creepy looking place between a few buildings.

"Uhh, Kagami-san? What are we doing here..?"

"Get ready.. the sight of this isn't going to be pleasant."

At first I didn't really know what he meant but..

I very quickly started smelling something that almost made me throw up...

The smell of rotting corpses and decomposed bodies laying all around the place...

Oh my god..

No, no, not again...

"Either there is another stray demon or your friend from a few days ago isn't quite as dead as Yokou said it was."

I barely even heard what he said, as I was bombarded by the pure massacre that has happened here.

Suddenly... A very strange clicking sound could be heard.. almost like some sort of creature or animal walking around.

Quickly, as I looked up and saw the beast crawling on the wall I was absolutely terrified.

The upper part of its body seemed almost human-like but the rest was just a huge chunk of muscles and skin with legs that almost resembled those of an insect.

The creature itself looked like some sort of caterpillar or centipede.

Right after I saw it I shouted.

"Kagami, up there !"

The creature jumped to the ground while Kagami quickly grabbed my hand and dashed backwards to avoid the impact.

The creature towered over both of us.

It hissed.. and its chest opened up revealing a large mouth full of teeth and tendrils and blood gushing out everywhere..

The smell was terrible...

If you would ever want to know how death smells.. then that's how it smells.

"Sueharu, get behind me."

Kagami said as he raised his hands and manifested two magical circles in front of them.

He then punches through the circles and the symbols from the magical circles then manifest on his hands.

The creature charges directly towards us with its mouth wide open growling aggressively.

As it's about to reach us and close its mouth, Kagami grabs its mouth and prevents it from closing.

He then makes a hole in its body by pulling its large jaws away from each other and then proceeds to throw it against a wall as it shrieks in pain and bleeds heavily.

He walks towards it and it tries to catch Kagami off guard by launching its hand full of razor sharp claws at him but fails, given that he quickly catches it and rips the hand from the creature's body.

Kagami raises his hand above him... Summoning a lance in his right palm and then decapitates the creature

I stand there in pure shock after what I have just witnessed..

I can't do this...

"We were late again.." says Kagami and punches a hole into the wall.

"Come on. We need to leave.."

We arrived to Yokou’s house and.. everyone could still see the terror and the pure fear in my eyes and they quickly tried to calm me down..

Tayou took me to another room to talk to me and calm me down while the others stayed in the meeting room.

"Another stray demon, huh.." says Yokou as she sighs.

"But the devil we encountered today couldn't have been the culprit behind all these murders that had been occuring for the past week.

The claw marks on the bodies had a way different length and size.

They were also very deep cuts that the creature alone couldn't have possibly made on its own... That creature was probably just a scavenger looking for dead bodies to consume."

Kagami says

"Hmm... So are you trying to say that the being Ayato and Yokou encountered a few days ago is still alive and killing people?"

Sakura replies.

"Most likely."

"Shit.."

"We need to start Ayato's training tomorrow."

Yokou says in a stern manner as she pounds on the desk.

"Understood, ma'am." Both Kagami and Sakura reply at the same time
