Maggot POV
We stared at each other for what seemed like an hour until I just couldn't stand it anymore. I mean it just didn't feel right.
"BLINK!!!" I yelled.
But instead of actually doing it my new child kept staring at me with those never closing yellow eyes.
"Hoo hooo? (???)
"You're right you do need a name. Since you seem to not be male like me I name you Maggie." I replied.
"Hoo." She said as she waddle around from foot to foot.
'Ok I think she likes it now, how do I raise my own child?'
As thoughts went through my head I was left with the predicament of not knowing anything about being a parent.
'I guess the best method is for her to eat and drink the same things I do'
So with that I went to search for water outside. As I got down off the tree and onto the ground I went deeper into the woods. I heard many things in the woods and was still hopeful I would meet someone like parent, but the latest experience with the Hoo-Hoo made me keep an eye out. About an hour walk into the woods I kept hearing a loud trickling noise. Caution to the wind I ran toward the noise to discover what was there, and what I found was a stream running into a large pool of water.
'Prettttyyyy'
It was beautiful and sparkling, but more than that it was water. That was exactly what I needed right now.
'Hmmm..how am I going to bring this back?'
The genius mind was working at full capicity on this one, but I came up with nothing.
'Might as well drink some while I'm here.'
As I was drinking my fill from the serene pool of water the genius mind pulled through once again.
'That's right I have a perfectly good mouth to carry water in.'
With that thought I took as much water to fill up my cheeks and ran full speed back to the tree Maggie was in. It took less than an hour to get back home and back to Maggie. I was standing in front of Maggie trying to do hand motions so she would open her beak, but she just cocked her head.
'Please don't blame your Parent I'll expain afterward.' I thought.
I saw I wasn't getting anywhere so I forcefully opened her beak and spit the water in. She flapped her wings in panic but still ended up drinking it.
"Don't worry my dear the water came from the most beautiful place, a goddess must have put it there herself, so I assure you it's safe."
She didn't look convinced and I was sure she was glaring with those never closing eyes.

"I'm going to go get some food now so when I get back make sure you open your beak this time."
"hoooooo." She replied sorrowfully.
I ignored her little hoo and went out to go get food. The only food that I knew of was my 'Parent's' body and the Hoo-Hoo I murdered. I respected my parent and even though I already ate some of it I wanted to let it be. On the other hand that Hoo-Hoo tried to kill me, sooo.....
"What do you say tummy want some yummy yummy?" I asked.
"Grrrggle!!!" Tummy replied.
The Hoo-Hoo was agreed on and I made my way over to it's body once again.
SQUEAK!!
SQUEAK!!
I kept hearing this high pitch noise near the Hoo-Hoo, and while ear piercing it was really cute in my opinion. I didn't see anything in the sky so I didn't think it was something like the Hoo-Hoo. So I knelt down, the grass was covering me and I peaked in on what was going on around the Hoo-Hoo. When I spread the grass a little and could see the body I looked slowly in all directions around the crash.
SQUEAK!
My eyes locked onto the noise and came upon a brown, four legged, pink tailed beast on the head of the Hoo-Hoo. It had black eyes and a pink nose which was sniffing around the eye wound I left the Hoo-Hoo. It took a bite out of the wound and used its fingered paws to hold the chunk of meat it ripped out.
'Alright Squeaky, if you want to eat my meal you'll become my meal.'
I still had the claws that I used to climb up and down the tree, so I moved around the crash until I was behind it. I got in a charging stance and rushed as fast as I could. I was right behind it until it knew I was there, then it bursted off with a tremendous amount of speed. The tail which I was regretfully standing on pulled me off my feet, but I successfully grabbed it when I fell. As of now I am being hit in the face by what seems like an endless sea of grass. I pulled my self together and put the one claw I still had in my mouth while I climbed the tail that was pulling me. Once I finally reached the base of the tail I took the claw and drove it into the right leg that was closest to me. That was when we crashed...
BOOM!
'Oooooow..ooow....I think I bit my tongue, oh yeah that tastes like blood, definitely my tongue. Well hopefully'
As I got up I saw the Squeaky about fifteen feet away trying to move. I looked around for my claw and then noticed it was still in Squeakys back leg. Squeaky was as happy about the situation as I was, he started moving toward me with a snarl.
"Squea squea SQUEEEAK!." Squeaky said angrily.
"Now listen here buster, there's no need for language. It's your fault your in this situation to begin with, you tried to steal food you didn't work for." I replied slyly
That seemed to set him off and he pounced at me with his slobbering teeth. I side-stepped to the right and made sure to bite Squeaky instead, I set my teeth into Squeaky's neck and bit with all my might.
"SQUEAKK!!!" Squeaky screamed.
Squeaky shook its body trying to fling me off, but I was dead set on having this thief for dinner. I wrapped my arms around its neck and my legs around its shoulders to try to hold on.
"SQUEEAAKK!!!"
I knew I was close, Squeaky was bleeding everywhere and its movements were getting slower. That's when it stopped its shaking and slumped to the ground. I got off of it and made sure it was dead. When I was sure, I took my claw from its leg and started cutting the Squeaky in pieces. I decided to use the skin as a holding device, so I could carry a larger amount of meat back up to Maggie and thieves won't eat it. I spread the sheet of skin on the ground and put the meat in, I then rolled the sheet up and headed back to the Hoo-Hoo.
Once back at the Hoo-Hoo I picked up the other claw that I dropped and went home. As I climbed the tree I held the roll of meat underneath my chin thinking about how excited Maggie would be for her first meal. I made it to the branch and walked into the opening saying...
"Magggie! I'm home! I brought food would you like to see?"
Maggie waddled right over at hearing food and when I unwrapped the meat, I could tell she was already straining from digging in right away.
"Well, well, aren't you excited?" I commented.
"HOO!" She replied earnestly.
"You didn't forget what I said before I left did you." I reminded as I put a chunk of meat in my mouth and chewed it for her.
"HOOO HOOOO!!!" She regretfully remembered.
