Owen watched as the three enemies drew closer to the gate. He glanced down at Lily before heading to the back of the building he was nearest. Looking down at his weapon, Owen cursed himself for not trying his Skills earlier.
“Fuck for all that playing around, and I didn’t even use Heavy Slash or anything.” Calming down, Owen then chided himself in his thoughts. There are enemies nearby, and I don’t know if they have super hearing or anything. Calm down, Owen. Looking at the blade in his hand, he imagined himself cutting through one of the murderers with his Heavy Slash. He felt a slight pulling from his chest; sure enough, he had lost some mana according to his HUD. Right, it’s all about intention. If I want to cut them down with my skills, I just need to WANT it to happen. While he was fussing with his skills, the three dots had come close enough that Owen could make out who, or better what, they were. Entering the gate, the three creatures were about 3-4 feet tall, with the one in the center being 4 or 5 inches taller than the others. They had dark green, almost shiny skin, wearing nothing but some cloth around their waist. The big one was the only one wearing any type of armor, but even then, the armor was patchwork, with the helmet being too large. The leader made a strange noise and almost a shoeing gesture as they entered the village. Muttering out some kinda response, the smaller ones split off from the leader. With one heading his way, Owen tried to focus on it to Inspect it.

So looks like it shows me the standard System, then my ARMS System, Owen thought to himself. As the creature entered the house Owen was hiding behind, it began rummaging around. Glancing through the cracks, Owen got a better look at the Gobbo. It had large eyes on the front sides of its head with a large mouth. As it tore around the house, Owen noticed its hands ended in little round pads. Almost looks like a frog, a really lanky fucked up frog. Letting out a sign, Owen immediately realized his mistake as the sounds in the house stopped. The Gobbo came up near the wall he was at and put his hands against it, making strange noises. Taking the chance while he could, Owen lifted his blade to the crack between the wood as the gobbos large eye pressed up against it. Stabbing forward with his Short sword, Owen pierced the creature’s eye with his blade, continuing out the back of its head. The Gobbo made no death sounds even as Owen removed his sword. It simply flopped down onto the floor; even more surprising was Owen’s blade was clean. Just then, a notification popped up, but instantly, he willed it away till after the battle. Wait, does that mean it’s dead, Owen thought to himself. The box hung there for a second in his vision before disappearing. A new one took its place a moment later.

System Notice: All notices outside of death notices or emergency notices will be held until the User is out of Combat.
Happy with the Systems message, Owen checked his Map. Noticing that one dot was near the other end of the village while the other was in a house. Looks like the big one might be waiting for his lackeys to finish looting. Trying to walk as silently as possible, Owen crept over to the front edge of the building. Peeking his head out, he confirmed what his Map displayed. The big Gobbo was near the other end of the village, hovering over the bodies there. Looking at the building his Map showed the other Gobbo in, Owen couldn’t see anything moving. Taking the chance, Owen bolted for the other building across the street. After the quick crossing, Owen peeked back around the building onto the main road. The leader was still messing around at the end of the village with the other Gobbo not moving on his Map.
Stolen story; please report.
“That’s what’s gonna kill you little green fucks today,” Owen whispered to himself. Moving around the back of the buildings and coming upon the building the Gobbo was in, Owen couldn’t see any loose planks, unlike the last building. Moving slowly towards the front, Owen checked to ensure the leader was still distracted. With the leader not a current issue, Owen crept forward and peeked into the building. It appeared to be another home with the Gobbo sitting on the floor, pouring the contents of a cauldron into its wide-open maw. Inspecting it gave him the same results as the last one. Owen raised his sword, and this time with Double Strike and Heavy Slash. Feeling a stronger pull, he glanced at his HUD. He was at about half mana; right, Double Strike is a multiplier for the skill, so this one costs 30 mana. Better make it count. While Owen’s thoughts concluded, the Gobbo put the cauldron down and let out a belch. Taking his chance, Owen swung with his sword. Owen was confused at first as his blade made contact with the creature since he felt no resistance as it sliced through its neck. The Gobbo gasped in surprise before its head fell onto the floor. Looking closer this time, Owen noticed there wasn’t any blood. Instead, a small stream of black mist was leaking from the area he cut.
Dismissing the kill notification, he glanced at his Map and confirmed the leader had moved but was still near the previous spot. One more to go, Owen thought grimly. Peeking from the doorway, Owen could see the leader moving on to the next body. As Owen slowly stalked closer to the larger Gobbo, he inspected it.

Overall, it’s brighter and stronger than the scouts. Guess that’s the Raider’s stat distribution. After nearing the creature, Owen could finally see what was keeping the thing so occupied. The monster was hacking away at the chest of a man with a crude stone knife. What the hell is wrong with this thing! Owen screamed internally. As he approached the final few feet to the creature, it plunged its hand into the chest and pulled out the man’s heart. Oh fuck no, Owen thought as he pulled the last bit of his mana into another Double Heavy Strike. Owen felt a sense of vertigo and lightheadedness but pushed through it as he rammed the sword through the creature’s back. The Gobbo hissed as it dropped the heart; without losing momentum, Owen twisted the blade and slashed outward. Tearing through the creature’s chest, it turned in disbelief as it fell over. Looking up at Owen, the creature’s pupils grew wide, and it franticly began searching for its weapon. Seeing its reaction, Owen began to hack and slash at the thing, not wanting to give it the chance to attack. Owen kept stabbing and slashing at the creature even as the slain notification came up.
“Die, Die, you fucking thing. Stupid, worthless frog fuck. What the fuck is wrong with you. What the hell is wrong with this shit!” Owen continued to attack the Gobbo corpse until it popped in a black mist. Confused, Owen finally noticed the string of boxes in his vision.
