Roger went to Shin's room but Shin was nowhere to be found. Elfie told Roger that Shin went to the forest. Roger's vein in his forehead bulged and went outside to get him.

Roger leaped and was able to get out of the forest instantly. Roger can't feel Shin's presence in the forest. He used 'flight' and looked everywhere but he can't sense Shin.

Suddenly, Roger felt a heavy pressure in the west of the forest. It was a demon, he rushed to where the pressure is.

I am looking at the sky and asked myself, "Who am I? Why am I here? Is my life more important than them? No! I will not do the same mistake again."

I was headed out to the Village but felt a tremendous aura going towards me really fast.

I can't recognize the presence and I quickly summoned the Demon Slayer Sword.

The person was flying towards me and attacked me. I was able to parry the person's attack just in time. The person flew straight and stopped. He looked back at me who was shaking.

This guy, he's a demon. Damn it! He's on a whole different level than the last demon.

The demon opened his mouth, "You... You're the wielder of the Demon Slayer Sword."

I looked at the demon's sword he's holding.

The demon raised his sword and dashed towards me. I jumped and dodged the demon's attack but the demon easily caught up to me. The demon attacked me and I parried his sword.

I flew back and rolled.

"Damn it! Why is this happening to me? Why are demons trying to kill me? I'M JUST A 5 YEAR OLD KID!" I exclaimed.

I looked at the demon and suddenly the demon is in front of me trying to cut me in half vertically.

The sword of the demon was blocked by a man. It was Father.

Father grabbed me and threw me out of the way. Father didn't look back at me but said, "Shin, don't get in my way."

I nodded and I have hidden in a tree.

Father... something feels off, I've never seen him so angry before. Is it because I ran to the forest or is it because the demon almost killed me?

The heck's happening though? Everything became weird since I received this sword. My arm is also wounded, from when? Damn it! I dob't know what's happening anymore. I want to go back.

I lost my consciousness and I found myself in a void.

"What is this? Where am I" I heard a voice on my back and quickly turned back. The owner of the voice was the demon who showed earlier.

"What are you doing in my dream?"

[Are you really sure about your decision? You want to stay and fight too right?]

My eyes grew and looked at the demon. "T-that's... That's not it."

[There's nothing you could hide from me.] The demon approached me slowly and held out his hands. [Become a Guardian, and I will help you.]

I looked at the demon's eyes. Upon closer inspection, he has a white face, he looks handsome and his eyes are red.

I smirked and said, "Aw hell nah!"

Roger and the demon is standing looking at each other. The demon opened his mouth, [You've become weaker.]

"That might be true, but I can still beat you."

[With my current power? Ha! You don't stand a chance.]

"Tch!" Roger looked at the demon with killing intent. "You've thrown away your humanity, Tom."

[It's all because of you!]

"Nah, it's because you're weak, you succumbed in despair and seek help by a demon lord. How foolish of you, little brother."

[Enough talk!]

Tom dashed towards Roger, he was so fast that he has as if disappeared. Roger is standing still looking for the presence of Tom. Tom is dashing everywhere and there breeze that is left from his trail.

Tom spoke, [I am one of the fastest in the Demon Swordsmen. Can you catch me?]

Roger sighed and swung his sword to his left. He parried Tom's attacked and Tom disappeared again. Tom is dashing everywhere that made Roger annoyed.

"I've had enough." Roger moved and suddenly he was in front of Tom. Roger grabbed Tom's head and slammed him to the ground.

The ground around them broke and birds flew away.

Tom is gasping and opened his mouth,

Shin stood up and bowed his head. "Father, I'm sorry. But I don't agree with your decision."

Roger frowned and asked, "What decision?"

"I want to stay here together with everyone!"

"You can't do that. We've already decided."

Shin made a face that is about to cry and looked away. He mumbled, "I want to fight together with everyone"

"What?"

Shin looked up to his father and shouted, "I said, I want to fight the demons together with everyone!"

"No can do."

Shin frowned, "Even if I survive going to the Royal Capital, I would feel like I'm dead running away alone. I WOULD RATHER DIE, THAN LIVE ALONE!"

Roger's eyes widened after hearing those words. Shin added, "So please Dad, let me stay."

It's dawn and Jerry showed up in front of Roger's house. Roger is standing in front of the house waiting for Jerry.

Jerry looked around and asked Roger, "So, where's your son?"

Roger was silent.

"Have changed your mind?"

Roger didn't reply. Jerry turned back and said, "Fine then, we'll go back to the Capital."

Roger opened his mouth, "My son, Shin... is dead."

Jerry's eyes widened and asked, "What? What the heck happened?"

Roger explained, "I don't know the reason but he heard our conversation, he knows about my plan to him. He ran through the forest and he. encountered a demon. When I got there, he was already killed."

Jerry is surprised, "Can I see him? Can I see my nephew?"

Roger brought Jerry inside the house and Jerry found a kid lying on the bed, not breathing. He looked at Ariel who was crying beside the body of the kid.

So this is, Shin. This is the first time I saw since he was a baby. Jerry looked beside Ariel, there were 2 elves looking at the body. And a denon kid behind them. It was Shin disguising himself as a demon.

Roger opened his mouth, "Why is there a demon's kid inside your house?"

Roger looked at Shin and said, "That's.. That is Tom's son."

"What? Tom?" He said with a surprised tone.

"I see. So Tom married a demon huh?"

"No." Roger replied.

"What?"

"He turned himself into a demon and married another demon."

"Isn't that kid dangerous?"

"He's a good kid. Despite his appearance."

Roger thought, I never thought that Shin can use Illusion magic.

Me and my father was talking in the forest.

Father raised his right eyebrow. "You'd rather die than live alone?"

"Yes. Everyone in the Brysver Village is my family. I want to be together with them."

Father smiled and patted my head. It was warm.

Father said, "Don't you really want to go the Capital?"

"I don't want to. Besides, my little brother is already there."

Uncle Jerry left. The royal knights have left the village. Father gathered everyone and explained them everything about what's going to happen.

After some time, someone spoke, "Then what's going to happen to everyone?"

Father looked at the man and said, "This is Zeff. He was from the Elf Tribe. He will guide everyone to safety. Ariel and Shin will go with them so you don't have to worry."

"So what we need to think now is on how we are going to deal with those demons?" Another man spoke.

"Yes." Father looked at me and nodded.

Elfie approached me and asked, "I'll make sure everyone will survive. Older brother Zeff is with you anyway, and so is mother so there's really nothing to worry about."

"Yes." Elfie replied.

Elfie grabbed the sleeve of my shirt. I patted Elfie's head and and smiled at her.

After the declaration of father. everyone heated up and started training.

Two weeks have passed but nothing happened. Some wondered if the demons are really going to show up. Even I was also wondering when will they show up.

Father approached me and said, "Shin, why don't you try to spar with Zeff?"

"Why?"

"Don't you want to measure Zeff's capabilities?"

I looked at Zeff who was swinging a sword. I already know Zeff's capabilities, he's a bit stronger than me. However, he has a flaw.

I smiled and said, "I want to train myself also, I want to spar with him, dad."

Father approached Zeff and spoke to him, Zeff looked at me and smiled.

He is holding a real sword while I am holding a wooden sword. Father said we can choose any weapon that we want. So I grabbed this wooden sword.

Father started the match and I used a hardening magic on my sword. Father's eyes widened by what he has witnessed. Zeff who has lowered his guard suddenly raised his guard.

"You seem tensed." I said with a provocative tone.

"I never thought that you could use hardening."

I used flash step and I disappeared from his sight. Zeff used his sage's eyes and can see my trace. He blocked my attack and I backed down.

I was surprised, Sage's eyes, what a terrifying ability.

Zeff rushed towards me and made a full swing of his sword. That's one of his flaw, he leaves himself open everytime he attacks. Swords clashed each other. I used sharpening on my sword and Zeff swung hid sword. I parried his attack and cut his sword in half. I pointed my sword on his neck. Father called off the sparring. "Match over! Winner, Shin!"

Everyone was surprised by what they have witnessed. That was the first time they saw me fight, so that's expected.

Elfie who was watching approached me and asked, "Shin, are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"Yes, I'm okay. But more importantly, your brother is in a worse case."

Elfie looked his brother and approached him.

Did she really just asked me if I was okay than his brother? She's really weird.

I approached Zeff and asked him, "Are you okay? That was a good fight."

"You were holding back. I was trying to make you use your full power but I failed. I'm so weak!"

I didn't reply him since there's nothing that comes to mind. Well, he lost because of his flaws. He makes his attacks obvious, he can see my movements but can't keep up with my speed. His attacks are heavy but it's slow and he leaves himself open. His using magic unconsciously thay's why his stamina dried faster than mine.

I was thinking for words to console him but suddenly I felt a chill to my spine. I looked up and an eerie portal appeared in the sky. It was a black like cloud that's circling around a black ball inside. There were also black lightning coming out of the clouds.

Then, a demon appeared from the portal. He spreads his arm and smiled, [Hello there! Humans, Demi-Humans, Dwarves, Demons, Elves and oohh... an Angel.]
