"Um... What do I do now?"
Max said to herself.
She looked around the room to find nothing interesting.
"Maybe I will walk around the village for a while."
Max walked out the front and on to the dirt path leading around the village.
She could see clearly that Hans' home was in a much better condition than the others.
She walked out of the residential area and into the industrial one.
By industrial it was mainly just a few workshops nothing grand.
Inside one of the building she could see and feel the large furnace producing a lot of heat.
She waved her hand in front of her face to cool herself down.
As she continued to walk she ran into someone familiar.
"Oh, its you... The girl that Hans found in the forest. Are you lost again?"
Brandon joked while laughing to himself.
Max didn't find it funny but still smiled.
"Hi, my name is Max, um, if I remember correctly your name was Brandon?"
She said.
"Yep that's my name don't wear it out."
Brandon said with over exaggerated confidence.
"By the way what are you doing walking around the village alone. It isn't safe for a young one such as yourself to be walking around alone without supervision."
"I can take care of myself. I don't need someone to watch me."
Max said dead serious but Brandon still took it as a joke and laughed.
"Well to be safe I can stay with you until you are finished, today is my day off anyways."

Max looked at Brandon quizzically, after all Brandon was still wearing his armor.
"You must be wondering why I am wearing my armor still. Well to be honest, I don't have a life outside of my job. Nearing the age of 25, I can't believe I still don't have a wife."
Brandon laughed at his own despair.
Max couldn't help but laugh as he had almost the same problem.
The two of them walked around the village looking at the shops and then the agriculture.
It started out as Brandon following Max around but end up as Brandon being a tour guide for her instead.
After a quick hour passed they were about to start walking back to Hans' home when they heard someone call out to them, more specifically Max.
"Max, what are you doing here?"
They turned around to see Hans walking fast over to her.
"Hi, Hans. I was just looking around the village and Brandon decided to guide me around."
Hans gave a quick look at Brandon then back at Max.
Max could hear Brandon sigh next to her.
"Let's go back it isn't safe for you out here."
As they were walking away Brandon spoke up.
"Hans when are you going to stop blaming everyone in the village for what happened to your mother. There was nothing we could do... There was nothing I could do."
Brandon said as he got quieter and quieter until the last sentence couldn't be heard by Max or Hans.
