Abilities
Bonds
By connecting their soulstones directly, multiple people can empower each other. The more people involved in a bond, the stronger everyone in the bond is. There are multiple types of bonds, and the more directly the bond the more 'raw' it is, which can lead to emotions and sensations leaking between members. For most people, a bond of three people is their maximum. The person at the center of a bond is the 'pillar', the leader who takes the heaviest burden on their soulstone.
Cracking
Taking on too much power as a pillar can lead to cracking, a sudden extreme wave of exhaustion that can knock out the leader of a whole bond. There is also a risk of death from cracking if the soulstone is permanently damaged.
Milestones
Upon gaining enough power to reach a new milestone, core attributes have a chance to increase. When all milestones are fulfilled, a person’s Soulstone goes up one tier.
Resilience Attribute
Resilience determines resistance to supernatural effects, or effects that attempt to alter or manipulate the soul. A higher resilience gives a higher chance to avoid hex status effects, and lowers damage taken from magical attacks.
Facets
Special abilities chiseled into the soulstone of a person. They can grant superhuman abilities. A person can only have a certain number of facets based on their Soulstone's tier.
Iron Attunement Facets
Hold Fast
Hold Fast allows a temporary increase in durability against weapon attacks. All damage from weapons is lowered by 50% for the current engagement. Damage is lowered regardless of range. Ends immediately after the current engagement concludes. Doubles fatigue gained from the battle. A pillar can use this ability for a whole bond.
Can be Enhanced.

Wards Attunement Facets
Shield of Mercy
Manifests a shield of light to block an attack or danger that will harm someone else. The shield of mercy is less effective against manifestations of Soulflame. The shield is immobile after it manifests, and vanishes after contact ends with the danger.
Stay Death's Hand
Feature Facet
By imparting some of their own Soulflame to a person whose Soulflame is fading, this ability will put them into a slowed state where their remaining health fades at a sluggish pace. A person on their last breaths can last for nearly an hour, plenty of time to find stronger healing. But everything about the target is slowed, and any attempt to resist this effect will break it immediately.
Purity Attunement Facets
Purifying Blade
The attuned can ignite their weapon with the scalding heat of Soulflame. The heat deals devastating damage to dead flesh, but is still a terrifying weapon against the living. This facet lasts a short time, and can be used by a pillar for a whole bond.
Final Flame
The attuned can defy death to make one last assault covered in flames. Their strength is enhanced and they are otherwise impervious to harm for the limited duration. When this facet ends, they will die.
