- A certian perspective -

We were filling out bottles with water when a man suddenly appeared out of nowhere walking towards our makeshift camp near a river.

I couldn't sensed him. The mysterious man that suddenly appeared. I couldn't sense his presence. As an archer and tracker I have enhanced sense but even then I could barely smell the scent blood coming of his clothes. It's as if he had no smell except the faint smell of goblin blood. I readied my bow as to shot him at a moment's notice.

Perhaps seeing me ready my bow my friends too readied their weapons searching for the enemy until finally they locked their eyes onto the mysterious man.

His hair was pitch black like the night sky. His body was slim yet not skinny. His eyes were of different color signifing that he had the unique skill known as magic eyes. However what type of skill it was is unknown since each user has his own special abilities.

But the thing that gathered my attention the most is the small bump behind his back. It appears to be abnormal. Something that normal humans didn't have.

By the way his movements exposed weak points in his body I concluded that he isn't used to fighting and have little to none combat experience. I relaxed my guard a bit but not completely since this man evaded my senses.

Seeing this my companions also relaxed their guards a bit. The leader of our small group greeted the man and began chatting with him.

[.....] I stood there silently.

After a while the man turned around and walked away. After I was sure that he was gone I asked our leader what they were talking about.

[Hm? We were talking about the forest and how dangerous it is to venture inside] answered our blonde headed leader.

[.... Is that all you talked about? What about the identity of that man?] I questioned.

[ He says that he was a hunter and that he accidentally went into this forest while chasing his prey]

[....... Is that so. But didn't you think it was weird we came across a man in this forest let alone a man that possed a magical eye? I mean most of the abilities granted by those eyes are very useful and powerful. Don't you think that it's weird we met a magic eye user here?]

[..... Not all magic eyes user are powerful. Some of them are weak. Maybe he drew the short end of the stick when it came to that. But now that I think about it it's weird that we met someone here let alone a lone hunter. But what can you do? He is gone anyway]

[...... I guess you are right but...... Nevermind]

I decided to keep the fact that he had an unusual bump behind his back a secret.

[Hey! Enough chit-chat we need to pack our things and get a move on] My second companion, a mage shouted to us while he was busy packing his stuff.

With that we continued our quest in the forest.
