The Tower has fallen and the Overlord is slain. The priests from Lumenia, the Kingdom of Faith, and the knights of Bravaro, the Kingdom of Chivalry, were crucial in the final battle in Blackhallow, the capital of the Darklands. The Holy Smiter and the Shining Knight pushed back the hordes of goblins the Overlord called, with the Holy Smiter falling to the Assassin in an unexpected backstab, causing a beam of light from the Heavens to vaporize the Assassin as well as half the goblin army. The Shining Knight rode his horse up the winding stairs of the Tower to the Overlord's throne room, defeating him in honorable combat, and returned to the army below victorious. The Lightlanders sacked Blackhallow and returned home, unwilling to risk the treacherous winter bringing howling monsters, signaling the end of the Twelfth Crusade. The war is over.
