'Leave, what do you mean leave!?' Mez exclaimed, exasperation showing on his face as he stared at Gary. 'He's right you know, we're not like everyone else and I don't think we can stay either' I interjected dishearedly. An 'Oh' was all Mez could say 'Shit Mez, I thought you'd be the first to suggest leaving' I continued, 'Yeah but it doesn't change this feeling you know' Mez said in reply. 'Lets go, we should all prepare our things' and it was with that, that we finally left back to our homes and our rooms for the final time to pack for whatever came next. As I went through my stuff I realised that I didn't have much; clothes, some books, a few photos, my beat up old yet faithful skateboard, and a few other bits and bobs. I couldn't really take everything along so I packed my clothes and hid everything else in a crevice underneath the floorboards. I got to it by prying open a loose floorboard, something my dad helped me with back when he was still normal. Picking up my board and bag I headed downstairs. 'I'm going to Butt's Bakery to buy some bread as we are about to run out' I said in as even a tone as I could manage. 'Okay' my family responded in unison. 'Bye' I said softly closing the door behind me.

I met Gary and Mez on the roof feeling very different from when we were up here just a short while ago, the weight of my bag felt heavy on me or maybe that was just in my head? 'Okay so where are we heading to?' Mez asked looking at us both. 'Well you know the Restricted Zone that they said was dengerous on tv, the site says its a safe Haven' Gary told him 'From what I could gather this here is where it is' Gary continued pointing at a map as he spoke 'So thats where we shall go' I chimned in. We left that night, the air was damp and cool, the night bright from a full moon lighting up the path where the street lights did not. We headed for the restricted zone, D.Rs haven or what we would soon be calling home. We skated where we could following the route Gary constructed taking a few hours including a pee break in the middle, we talked along the way about anything but what we were actually going to do when we arrived at our destination.
