The Boy

Carrion is an anomalous group of being created by combining inorganic matter with organic matter, their creation stating with one tiny particle of strange matter colliding with a planet in the middle of a faraway galaxy called the Jox-Minartos Vera'rim. Suspicions are that they had completely overtaken their original galaxy which leads to our reasoning that the reason why they are coming here is because of that. They do not have a consistent form.

The main ship that they are apart of is the size of an entire solar system, we nicknamed it Noah's Ark. The Carrion is made up of intertwined white matter, sometimes a collection of red crystals formed together like it was a web created by a massive spider. Some made of decaying flesh, almost all of them being the size of an asteroid.

Some mimic our form while others become their own abomination of a being. The Carrion is a massive threat to our galaxy.

Commentaries from the Abyss, Ludis Minor, Commander of Terra.

"The boy... he's special. I have no clue how he managed to become the way he is." Orlanis says, leaning on a bookshelf speaking to Leon in a room by themselves.

"Liean?"

"Yeah, the boy."

"Just call him Liean."

"I want you to fight him, Leon."

Leon raises an eyebrow, "Alright, he's training right now right?"

"Yes, that's why I'm suggesting it now."

Leon nods and Orlanis leads the way. Walking through the hallways of the castle - paintings are fused onto the walls, cabinets and such carry metal candles, unlit. They enter the training room and the boy is there attacking at a dummy, concentrating. "Hey, kid!" Leon yells, "Let's spar!"

Liean has short black hair and yellow in yellow eyes, gold strands of hair hanging from one singular braid sitting next to his left ear.

Liean nods, throwing Leon a shield generator before preparing a dulled threxen blade, normally, a threxan blade, even when dulled, can cut through any still but most threxen blades are made up of a weaker mineral compared to Faust's. Liean and Leon prep themselves, standing across from each other in the training room. Liean bounces lightly off the ground while Leon keeps himself moving, shuffling in one spot.

Liean charges at Leon and Leon goes to block, the block is successful but Liean pushes the blade in an odd manner turning the block into a parry, allowing Liean to move in with a stab which is then blocked again. Leon's eyes widen, surprised. "Where di-"

Leon is cut off by Liean kicking the inside of Leon's knee. Leon sighs, 'So you just want to fight.' Leon thinks to himself, moving forward with a slashing motion. Parry, kick, Liean gets disarmed, Liean immediately goes to disarm Leon as well and pin him to the ground.

Their sparing went on for a while and each time Liean was the winner of every bout.

Leon pants loudly as he is helped up by Orlanis. "You see?" Orlanis says, slapping Leon on the back, "The kid's a monster."

Liean blows air out from his nose and yawns, "Can I stop training now?"

Orlanis nods, "Yeah, you've done enough."

Liean sighs in relief, falling to the ground and rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Concentrating is irritating."

"What's he mean?" Leon asks.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

Orlanis glances at both of them, "Liean's training involved him concentrating on his surroundings rather than the people in it. Not responding, just acting. He especially has to do this while he sleeps."

"Is that even possible?"

"It is, he does it every day."

Liean shakes his head, "It's awful..."

"There are assassins and the Yevet don't like us very much so it's best."

"So... am I gonna become a male Ddjöfull once my training is over, I want to meet the man who adopted me."

"I'll have to get a Benvet Martiset to evaluate that."

"Why the Benvet?" Leon asks.

"I believe that Liean..." Orlanis pauses, turning to Liean, "I believe you can become a Visionaria Nulmeea."

"That's news, why?" Liean asks, keeping to the floor.

"You have an insane amount of potential, you are even like..." Orlanis stops himself. "Nevermind, but I do believe in you. Tell me if you hear anything or see anything unusual. We might be able to determine something from it."

Liean sighs, "Alright."

Faust taps his finger on his desk, waiting impatiently as a screen plays a live video feed across the galaxy. An older man with long black hair with grey streaks running through it, a drooping mustache sitting on his face, dark circles around his eyes. The old man sighs, "You're planning an inheritance? You don't even have a blood child and you are having someone inherit... whatever it is?"

Faust shakes his head, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I already have a plan."

"You've adopted him."

"That is enough. As long as he carries the eyes he'll be able to handle it."

"And what eyes are these?"

"The eyes passed down onto him by the Oracle Maltieas."

"A legend?"

"Yellow in yellow eyes. Eyes like Manir."

"And what can his eyes do?"

"I don't know but... they say that eyes like those could see the future."

The man sighs, "You are basing your inheritance off of a legend?"

"It is not illogical, plenty of legends are true aren't they? We've even proven that these legends were. Is it wrong to trust this one?"

"Time is relative, it is not like space. True, without space there is no time and without time there is no space but it is impossible to be able to tell the fu-"

"It's like deja vu..." Faust pauses, "Imagine deja vu but it is constantly happening and they know what'll happen in a few seconds rather than repeating said history, that is what his eyes should be able to do and I believe in it!"

"Why do you want to pass on inheritance!? You are still young Faust!"

"I don't want this!" Faust slams his hands onto his desk, "I don't want to do this anymore! I don't want to be around others anymore I just want to disappear! But it is necessary that I am there since people rely on me! I will not leave I will just pass inheritance! That is all! It is a failsafe Paul! I love all of those who believe in me but I don't... I can't handle it anymore. I've been at this for too long. I'm older than the emperor for god's sake, I just want to retire before someone takes my fucking head! Do you know how many people want me dead!?"

"You aren't the only one Faust."

"I know that! I'm the only one who can't handle it anymore though! I am not a coward and it scares me that I am not so I want to stop this before I reach my prime! I can't handle having all of these people trust me anymore! It's too much of a weight on my shoulders."

"Have you told anyone else about this?"

"Obviously not. I do not want to disappoint and I have no choice to be such a way."

"You need to be honest more Faust."

"If I am honest, nobody would believe anymore. If the nobles do not see me as cursed they will fall from their pride and superiority complexes and die out as quickly as they came. If I stop leading the girls under my wing then the people around me that have grown to care will fall apart! I don't want to be loved so dearly anymore!"

"You sound so foolish, Faust."

"I... know."

"I will see if the boy is ready, just in case then."

"Thank you, he should be."

"Why don't you take on a wife? Make her your duchess?'

"No need... I can't love like that... that'd be," Faust pauses, "Torture for them."

"Wh-"

"They have emotions... people want attention, they want to be close to the ones they love but I always will be distanced to them when they should be close, how would that not be painful?"

"I get it... I get it... sorry Faust."

"Just prepare. I have a bad feeling."

Faust swallows through a dry throat, his skin begins cracking and he stares at his one veiny hand in confusion. Faust takes a deep breath and exhales.

"Prepare faster... something I didn't predict happened just now."

"What do you mean?"

"I will prepare a commentary track, it'll be my last one."

"Faust!"

"The room was poisoned. Ten times my weight, enough to kill a Bara. Fuck..."

"Faust what do yo-"

Faust cuts off the feed, sitting down in his chair and turning on a mic in his Pauldron. "This should be put as the last commentary track but I won't force you to do it. Make sure to send it to everyone I know. First, before I begin, I will have to enter an emergency code to air out the entire ship so wait a moment." Faust presses a button on his desk, a tablet raising from the inside, a set of choices laid out in front of him, a critical sign flashing red in front of him. "Fuck, the entire ship..."

Faust turns on the speakers to his room so he could talk through the entire facility, "Everyone, put on a mask, the ship's air system has been poisoned."
