-The Murderer-

The girl in pink began to speak, her voice laced with a chilling calm. "I am so sorry about that. My name is Kara, and on behalf of a country I cannot name, you will be slaughtered where you stand." Her smile appeared innocent, yet it contrasted starkly with the vile threat she uttered.

The Director's gun began to glow a soft green. She aimed at Seraphina and fired, the green energy enveloping Seraphina and healing her wounds. The Director turned her gaze towards Kara. "Do you know anything about this, Seraphina?"

Seraphina stared at Kara, her eyes unblinking. "No, I don't." Her hand glowed red as a crimson longsword materialized. "I'll handle her up close. You support me from behind."

"Got it," replied The Director.

Seraphina dashed towards Kara with lightning speed. The Director's gun glowed red as she fired shots of Determination, the projectiles whizzing past Seraphina. Kara moved with incredible speed, the ground shaking beneath her feet. She swung her glowing spear in a wide horizontal arc, striking Seraphina and sending her flying.

The aura emanating from Kara was terrifying, a palpable sense of dread filling the air. The Director's gun began to glow yellow, charging up a powerful attack. She fired a massive laser-like projectile from the barrel. Just as the beam shot forth, Kara's spear sparked with black energy. She slammed it into the ground, creating a massive explosion of black and pink energy. The wave of destructive force collided with the beam, pushing it towards The Director and Seraphina.

Reacting quickly, The Director's gun glowed green. She fired at the ground, and a green barrier manifested in front of her, shielding them from the oncoming energy.

Seraphina, getting up just in time, leaped behind The Director, taking cover behind the barrier just before the explosion hit. As the energy wave collided with the barrier, Seraphina used another of her abilities. Orange glowing orbs materialized around Kara and began to explode. However, before they could detonate, Kara vanished, reappearing in front of the barrier, hovering in mid-air with her spear glowing ominously pink and black.

Kara's appearance was terrifying—her body seemingly black as night, eyes glowing a menacing pink, and a creepy grin stretched across her face. Before Seraphina or The Director could react, Kara hurled her spear point-blank at the barrier. The spear shattered the barrier like glass, causing an explosion that engulfed both Seraphina and The Director. As the initial blast subsided, the spear detonated again, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

When the dust settled, Kara appeared to be a regular girl once more, as far as Seraphina and The Director could see. The initial blast had left them unscathed, but the secondary explosion injured The Director slightly.

“How are we alive?” The Director asked, stunned.

“Now isn’t the time to be asking that,” Seraphina replied, urgency in her voice. “But let’s just say Merkmal should know what’s going on now.”

In the aftermath of the explosions, the faint green glow of two legs could be seen before disappearing from the site.

Back at the lab, Merkmal sat in his chair when an intense feeling washed over him. He jumped up, startling Rück and Vörher, who looked at him in confusion.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Vörher asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

“I just felt my death. And it was not pleasant,” Merkmal replied, his voice grim.

Vörher glanced at Rück. “Do you think this has to do with the girls?”

Rück nodded, his expression serious. “Considering Merkmal is connected to Sera, I don’t like the feeling of this.”

The three of them sprang into action, grabbing vials of their combat elixirs and preparing for battle. They hurriedly made their way outside, heading towards the outskirts of the city where the ominous feeling had originated.

Kara pressed on with relentless aggression, determined to complete her mission. The Director fired a light blue shot that streaked towards Kara, but Kara deftly ducked beneath it. A glowing pink spear with a black-outlined tip shot up from under The Director, launching her into the air.

Kara leaped after her, creating another glowing pink spear in her hand. She slammed it down on The Director, sending her crashing to the ground. Without hesitation, Kara descended, landing with a thud and immediately swinging her spear at Seraphina. Seraphina managed to dodge a few of the swings, but soon found herself overwhelmed.

Suddenly, a transparent, dark blue manifestation of Merkmal appeared, blocking Kara's blows and giving Seraphina a moment to regroup. Seraphina readied herself for a counterattack, but Kara was relentless. She slammed her spear into the manifestation of Merkmal, shattering it into fragments.

As the manifestation dissipated, The Director, now recovered, fired another light blue round, which struck Kara in the back. Kara spun around, her spear poised to strike The Director. Before she could land the blow, The Director fired her gun into the air, and Kara’s body was flung skyward. The Director quickly got to her feet and fired into the ground, causing Kara’s body to plummet back to earth with tremendous force.

Kara landed with a sickening thud, the impact breaking the bones in one of her legs and several of her ribs. The audible crack of her bones echoed ominously, signaling the severity of her injuries.

As Kara lay on the ground, her leg twisted at an unnatural angle and her ribs aching with each breath, she gritted her teeth. Refusing to be defeated, she closed her eyes and focused her energy, a dark aura enveloping her as she began to heal herself.

Kara, despite her injuries, wasn’t giving up. Her body shimmered with pink and black energy as she stood, her limbs partially regenerating. Seraphina noticed the shift and shouted, "Stay on guard! She's not done!"

Kara dashed towards them, her spear poised to strike. She sliced in a semicircle, the blade's arc glowing with pure pink energy. Seraphina narrowly dodged, but the shockwave sent her stumbling. Kara, momentarily stunned from missing, was vulnerable.

Seizing the opportunity, Seraphina's hand glowed red as she summoned a sword of Determination. The sword swung slowly but hit with immense force. She charged at Kara, striking her hard and sending her reeling back. Kara, angered, teleported in front of Seraphina, throwing her spear point-blank. Slamming straight into Seraphina before exploding. The spear seconds later, sending her flying.

As Seraphina struggled to her feet, she activated her BRAVERY ability. She summoned five small orange orbs around Kara, which exploded, causing fire all around Kara. Kara, enraged, sent out two pink projectiles from her hands. Seraphina quickly created a glowing image of Merkmal Artz using her KINDNESS ability. The entity defended against the projectiles by slamming his fists into them causing them to go flying off in different directions, but its health began rapidly depleting.

The Director, seeing an opening, activated her glitched teleport, rapidly closing the distance between her and Kara. She fired five red bullets, each hit causing a soft knockback. Kara countered by summoning spears from the ground, aiming for Seraphina. The spears hit, sending Seraphina into the air stabbing through her back and arms.

Kara then created another ranged spear, charging it and conjuring four more spears behind her. The spears flew at Seraphina, the spears ripped straight through Seraphina they were like being shot with a tank as it tore straight through her. Seraphina, with her PERSEVERANCE ability, was revived with with limited time to her name, the clock ticking down. The immense pain from attack shooting through every part of her body as she lands back down onto the ground.

Rück and Vörher arrived just in time. Merkmal, feeling the earlier psychic shock, channeled his energy through Seraphina, amplifying her power. Rück and Vörher joined the fray standing behind Merkmal.

Kara, sensing the threat, slammed her right hand into the ground, causing black and pink spears to appear below The Director. The spears punctured her legs and knocked her up, but she recovered mid-air and fired a light blue shot. The bullet hit Kara, pulling her right in front of The Director. Kara teleported above The Director, slamming her spear down, but The Director teleported out of the way just in time.

As Kara continued her assault, she slammed both hands into the ground, causing massive black spears to rise and stab at the group. The spears ignored their blocks, as it slams down on them and knocking them down. Seraphina used her PATIENCE ability, freezing time for 4 seconds against Kara. She then swung her sword of Determination hard, dealing significant damage while Kara was immobilized.

Kara, barely standing, created a large transparent pink and black dome, consuming all color within the area. Any ranged attack directed at her disappeared upon entering the dome. The Director quickly stood still, her gun glowing with a red hue. An invisible barrier surrounded her, and when Kara's spear struck The Director, a red explosion occurred, sending Kara reeling back.

Seeing an opening, Seraphina summoned two swords of Determination, swinging them quickly at Kara. The strikes were less powerful but kept Kara off balance. Kara tried to retaliate, but Seraphina activated her INTEGRITY ability, creating a glowing image of Merkmal that defended against all physical attacks.

Kara's frustration peaked. She summoned spears from the ground, puncturing the glowing image of Merkmal. Seraphina, in a last-ditch effort, created a crossbow made of JUSTICE. She fired a high-powered shot, hitting Kara squarely and causing a massive explosion.

Kara, severely weakened and out of tricks, collapsed. The combined assault from Seraphina, The Director, and the others had overwhelmed her. The battle concluded with Kara fall straight down to the ground defeated, her once overwhelming presence now diminished. However, the victory came at a great cost. Seraphina lay nearby, severely wounded and struggling to breathe. The team quickly gathered around her, desperate to save their friend and comrade.

The Director aimed her gun at the ground, manifesting a green barrier that blocked any potential threats while she worked. "Stay with us, Seraphina," she urged, her voice steady but filled with concern.

Rück stepped forward, his hand crackling with dark purple lightning. "We need to act fast," he said, his tone urgent. "I'll use my abilities to stabilize her while The Director heals her."

Rück reached out, his hand glowing with energy as he used his SUPER ABILITY CODE to replace Seraphina's current state with a healthier past version of herself. Seraphina looks around as no one seems to be there while she lays on the grassy field in pain as she can see herself looking down at her. “Did she kill me?” Seraphina says as she looks down at herself. The Seraphina laying on the ground then turns her head and looks at herself. “We took her down, but we both know something like this shouldn’t have happened. Please don’t resent her.” With that the seraphina laying down on the ground fades away as Seraphina’s wounds on her body laying down fade away and she suddenly sits up gasping for air. Seraphina suddenly looks over at Rück, “How did you do that?”

The team breathed a collective sigh of relief, their exhaustion evident. They had managed to save Seraphina, but the battle had taken its toll. Vörher, The Director, Rück, and Seraphina knew that they needed to rest and recuperate before facing whatever challenges lay ahead.

“I guess we can talk about that later.” Seraphina pushes up her glasses as she points over to the passed out regenerating Kara. “First we need to grab her before something bad happens to her.” The Director looks shocked, “Why would we do that when she just tried to kill us?” Seraphina dismisses it as she continues. “I know she tried to kill us but theres something off about the way she acts, almost as if she is scared of something or someone. What do you think, Vörher?” Vörher looks around before sighing. “Rück, can you take her back with us? We obviously can’t leave a girl out her in the middle of a field by herself and passed out.” Rück walks over to her before moving her and picking her up bridal style, “Let’s get this over with.”

With Seraphina supported by her friends, they left the battlefield, their resolve strengthened by the trials they had overcome together. The journey was far from over, but they would face it united, ready to take on any obstacles in their path.
