CH 4 - Luna Company

Rhen arrives at his destination, a Victorian-style hotel named "Hotel Le Straza" after his last name. Felipe parks the car in the showroom's underground parking lot.

This is where many luxury cars are lined up, ready to be rented by a customer or used by the lord of the home.

They take the elevator up to the lavish Vintage-themed lobby, where they are met by a lovely High elf receptionist from behind the counter.

Her locks are long, blonde, and smooth. You have no idea what her name is, and this is the first time Rhen has seen her.

"Welcome home, Young Master," she welcomed him.

High elves are uncommon in Kadwein, they typically stay inside their borders and never leave the Sylnari Kingdom, their elven homeland.

They are also a proud and aristocratic people who would rather employ magic than undertake any manual labor. High elves are also the most powerful race in Eternia, not just because they have longer lifespans, but also because they are a magical powerhouse.

Rhen is unsure why she is here or why she is working at all.

"Grazie. (Thank you)"

He responds to her in his father's tongue and gives her a half simper.

She has no idea what it means, but she to responds with a smile.

Rhen saw her as an exotic beauty and made a mental note to get to know her better later, both mentally and physically.

The lobby is usually crowded, and he never gets to greet a line of maids and butlers.

Rhen likes it this way, because he dislikes having operations halted just so the crew may put on a show for him.

He and Felipe heads to the bar and restaurant just beside the lobby.

Behind the VIP room is a secret elevator that leads to a massive underground facility, complete with R&D and training for his ragtag team of special ops units.

Unbeknownst to all, there is a massive underground military facility that houses an elite group of military personnel.

They began as a tiny recon unit hand-picked and trained by Rhen before becoming into a formidable force.

With the help of the Kadwein Republic, his team became a part of the nation's most important asset, a group of the top men from each armed branch.

The luxurious hotel is just a front, the real heart of this establishment is what houses underneath.

They are the state's hidden blade in silently eliminating its opponents whenever and whenever they are in the world.

They are also not registered with any military branch, allowing them to conduct things that no other special ops force can.

Luna Company is infamous in the Special Operations sector. He named it after his mother, Luna, The Goddess of The Night, who died on that fateful date.

However, Rhen's true motivation for forming an elite group of men and women is to exact revenge on the Crimson blood clan for what they did to him and his family centuries ago, not to become a dog for the republic.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Although brutal, the Crimson Blood clan had their origins as the Sylnari Kingdom's assassination branch. After amassing too much power following Rhen's father's death in the late 7th century, they became rogue.

Currently, they are now the largest and most dangerous group in Eternia.

Because they have a base in all six kingdoms, they have caused untold death and suffering to anyone in their path.

He knows it's a silly cause to keep fighting for so long, especially after the founder has died of old age. They do, however, provide him something to keep his mind and abilities fresh.

As long as Rhen also takes out the state's enemies, they will gladly help him on his quest in eliminating the scum that is spread around the world.

He and Felipe enter the meeting room. It is a typical meeting room with a long table in the center.

"Bentornato a casa, Giovane Maestro. (Welcome home, Young Master.)" Twelve individuals respectfully bow to him.

"Puoi stare in piedi (You may stand.)" Rhen replied.

Little is known about Rhen's father, Eragon since he doesn't talk too much about his past life, but legend has it he was summoned to the world of Eternia in the early 7th century by an angel of unfathomable power.

Eragon, as a result, challenged the whole way of existence of the magical species, notably High Elves and Demons felt threatened by this sudden change and this sparked a deadly conflict between humans and magical races.

Unfortunately, the Crimson Blood clan, assassinated him. Rhen understands their logic, given that his father isn't exactly a saint to begin with if one is to judge by how he tortures his war prisoners.

What they did to his mothers and sister, on the other hand, was beyond horrible. He has vowed vengeance ever since. As his father had taught him, an eye for an eye.

Felipe stands behind Rhen at the far end of the long meeting table.

The other members are all dressed in coat and tie, and they only sit after he does.

Because Eragon never donned regalia as a king, instead opting for a coat and tie, this became the preferred attire for any high-class ceremonies.

This represents professionalism and dignity across the Kadwein Republic and within Rhen's organization.

The commanding officer, or the most skilled member, sits closer to him, while the other members sit further apart.

"Any progress on the location of their base from that captured goon?" Rhen asked his core members.

These are the units that generally accompany him on missions, and they also have the most skilled soldiers. A team is also known as Team Alpha.

Snake, a man with a scar on his left eye, stands to his left. He wears a black face mask and is the group's strongest and most capable member.

"No, sir, he poisoned himself by biting a poison pill." Just like Rhen, his voice is deep and husky.

"We tried to figure out what he meant by "Glory to the Black Sun" since he kept saying it over and over before he died, it was different from what they usually yell. However, he's high on Etherite, so we didn't get very far with the interrogation." Snake explained while holding his report.

The goon's remarks piqued Rhen's interest, he clearly remembers a black sun within his dreams. He has some interesting theories regarding what it is, but without evidence to back it up, he passes it off as their battle cry for now.

"Aside from that, is there anything else worth noting?" Rhen flips through the documents connected to the Crimson Blood as well as the tasks provided by the state.

The majority of them are targets for low-level criminals or traitors, not worth his time and effort. This would be equivalent to an S-Rank hunter defeating an elderly thief.

Rhen delegated these assignments to Team Bravo because they need all the experience they can gain before joining Team Alpha.

This time, Yue, a female member speaks up from Rhen's immediate right. She is a young Wood Elf with long black hair pulled back in a ponytail.

"There was an explosion in the lab earlier, I think Nikolai is at it again with his new inventions. Aside from that were continuing to search possible bases with the help of the Chief of Police and the Military Intelligence Department."

Yue does not wear a mask like Snake on your left; she is fairly attractive and has a nice slender body.

Although trying to flirt with her would be appealing, Rhen has an unspoken rule, keeping his hands to himself when it comes to his two students.

Rhen wishes to maintain the highest level of professionalism inside his organization as possible.

"Keep at it, if you have the coordinates of any Crimson Blood clan activity, follow standard operations and eliminate them mercilessly. If you come across an inner circle member or a rank S, patch me up or Lightbringer, and we'll take care of them." Rhen ordered them, slamming his fists on the table.

"Yes sir!" They all stood up and saluted.

After the meeting, Rhen leaves the room and roams the massive underground military facility, checking for any problems he needs to address when an explosion rocks the very halls.

*Bang!*

"Just another day, I guess." He utters it in a monotone tone.
