Waking up in the morning i could hear the sound of birds outside my dorm room window. Peeking out from under the covers i glanced around the room, as i look to the other two beds one was empty ,and the other had its covers on the floor. The first bed was Mako’s she is an energetic girl who even among the rest of the dorm she is the first to rise and usually goes for a run. I learned that because she was from a beast rce she had a  high metabolism and was always full of energy. She was the first person to completely open up to me and even was my first friend.

As i caught up i shuffled off to the bathroom and got ready for the day dressed in my new school uniform ,I walked back out into the bedroom and looked at the sheets on the floor. Curled up in an ball I could hear a light snoring from inside the covers. Lucy my other roommate is a strange girl always sleeping you would never expect how cute she looks. Mako told me because Lucy was from the spectral race she likes to sleep during the day, but because the school doesn't have night class Mako had to basically retrain her to sleep during the night and it mess with her a bit.

“Lucy wake up.”

Shaking the blankets a little i could hear her moan and grunt at my actions. It was until i saw her eyes she blinked and then spoke to me.

“....Morning…...Cam…”

Rubbing her eyes she slowly unraveled from her blankets and walked off to the bathroom.

“Make sure you get dress for school Lucy.”

As i watch her walk into the bathroom i sighed.Since i came here I hadn’t seen Mora and the only ones beside my roommates that was at the school was a handful of nobles from around the country and they didn’t want to talk to me or the others since we got here. As I grabbed an orange from the kitchen i sat down and waited for Lucy to be done in the bathroom. As i waited Mako came back in the door carrying a towel.

“Hey Cam good to see ya up.”

Looking around as she greeted me she looked to the pile of sheets on the floor.

“Ah so you got Lucy up! Good job Cam!”

Giving me a thumbs up she walked off to the bathroom.Within moments of her going into the bathroom i heard her scream.

“For the Love of All things Holy Lucy don’t fall asleep In the Bathtub you’ll drowned!”

After Lucy’s swimming accident we all went down the stairs and exited the building. Walking towards the largest building on campus we noticed many more people walking that way as well.Since today was the beginning of the school year the new students along with the regular students had come back to the school. With the nobles the numbers were basically doubled because many of them brought a maid or butler to help them in their daily life. The butlers and maids walked a few passes behind their care and these people range from people in their twenties to twelve year olds that followed their masters into the school. Dressed in their “working”clothes they follow, the only thing in common to all of them was a badge pinned to their chest indicating that they were students as well.

“Boy now it gets busy…” Said Mako“The school is going to get crazy…… Hey Cam did you hear about the two new teachers that are joining this year?”

Nodding Mako continued

“The two arrived around the time you did one of them I saw the other day it was a Dwarf!The other I haven't seen but some of the rooms in the southern wing have been remodeled for him”

As Mako continued to yammer about the gossip around campus we entered the building.The place was built like an arena, Surrounding a field the size of a football field rows seats going up about twenty rows.In the center was a stage with a large curten hanging behind it.

 After about a half hour had gone by the students from all the grades had packed into the building. With the room full of noise a lone man walked onto the stage, this was of course the head master. Walking up t the front of the stage he cleared his throat and casted some sort of spell that caused his voice to become louder

“Good morning students! I am the headmaster here at academy, and I would like to welcome back our returning classes and the new one for this year. As the older students know this story already I will make it brief. This academy has three rules that I will I force no matter the person

Number one there is no using of Social statues in this school, you are here to learn not to command. Number two the teachers are the law they have control over you class if they decide something I expect you to follow them, BUT that doesn't mean they can get away with anything , if you believe that something a teacher does is immoral or wrong please question it and if you find anything at fault come to my office. Number three there will be no action of any kind clove combat allowed in school grounds unless a teacher is present and has deemed it acceptable.”

  With that small speech made the headmaster stepped back and the senior classes rep gave his speech. After he was done the headmaster returned to the front and announced that there will be two new teachers. With that  Dhokkut  walked on to the stage and made a speech about the classes he will be teaching and his love for the art of smithing, explaining the ways that it can help mages as well as swordsmen you could tell he was drumming up his classes to help him out.

After a few more minutes of Dhokkut  talking I looked over to Mako and noticed her paying attention to every word that was said.

“Are you that interested in smithing Mako?”

Hearing my voice Mako nodded and whispered back

“When my dad was small he was given a sword from my grandpa it was made by the dwarfs and became our family tradition to either learn smithing or be given a gift by a dwarf for our actions.”

“So you hope Dhokkut will give you a sword?”

Looking at me wide eyed she replied

“No… but that would be great i just hope to learn enough to go to one of the mountains to become an apprentice there.” And with those words she looked back at Dhokkut.

Seeing the hope in her eyes I smiled

*Having a goal is a good thing…. I wonder what mine should be?*

With that thought i looked to Lucy and sighed, she had fallen asleep in her chair. As i woke her up Dhokkut finished his speech and the headmaster returned to the podium.

“Now student body and faculty members I would like to introduce our next new member of the staff, he will be the school's medical advisor and part time teacher.

Can we have a round of applause for Mister Therris.”

With those words the lower section of the stadium began to clap, this area was mainly holding the upperclassmen. From what I had gathered the school never had a medical advisor so injuries in all the classes of if sevear would cause a student to miss classes and flunk out.As we watched the upperclassmen Mako turned and spoked to me

“Therris…. Isn't your last name Therris Cam?”

“Yeah it's my dad who is going to be the advisor”

“That's great another fairy in the school.” Mako said with a smile

Knowing that she had misunderstood I weakly smiled

“Actually my dad isn't a fairy……”

In the middle of my sentence the lower section suddenly went quiet as footsteps could be heard coming from behind the curtain, as they opened the crowd went silent.

Without me finishing my words Mako said them herself

“.....a giant…”

On the stage stood Mora dressed in a one piece cloak he stood looking over the quite stands. Taking his time to look in every direction i could almost feel his eyes on me. After a moment he brought his hand to his face and lightly coughed.

“Hello as the headmaster said I will be the medical advisor for this school year, I will be stationed here at the stadium for most of the week with a small class being held once a week in the southern building. From your silence and staring faces I will be blunt…. I am a Giant from the northern end of the continent through my many years in that area i have mastered the art of medicine and low healing magic. My class will be on the study of quick medicine and taking care of a group without the use of magic. Let me also be clear on one thing i will not hold favorites in the clinic or in the classroom , there are no exceptions I will treat wounds by how severe they are. And with that I hope you have a wonderful year.”

With that Mora stepped off the stage and walked out of the arena. As he walked I could hear whispers from the nobles near by about how surprised they were.

“Did you see the size of him.?!?”

“Yeah I did, I definitely don't want to get injured this year he might break your arm while he tries to fix your fingers.”

Hearing the nobles talk mad me angry, Mora would never hurt anyone unless they deserved it.With that thought the headmaster dismissed us and i dragged Sleepy Lucy and the dazed Mako back to our room I have a feeling I'm going to have to explain some things to Mako
