Chapter 44-Apocalypse [F.D.2] (13)

[Location: Hyphene, Underwater Base, Meeting Room]

[??:?? ??, ????, 2831, CE]

Inside the lit room, you could see a man sitting at the end of the table, while the other 4 were also sitting on the sides of the table. The table had the hologram of the fake Eternal Flowers, but what's surprising is the number. The current total number of fake Eternal Flowers is already 25 million of them created and now these 5 are here to talk about the other lost millions that suddenly disappeared.

"We have lost a total of 1.8 million of the 'things' replicas. The seeds were spread out during the failed transport" the man at the end of the table said while looking at the other 4 to see if they had any type of reaction, and sure, they had that number, which is too much of a loss. Even 1 is already a big loss yet still bearable, but 1.8 million of them in one go disappeared just because of a failed transport.

"Did it get raided by pirates, or did some huge space beast eat it?" The pink-haired woman asked if they had lost them just because of a pirate raiding the transport vessel or a space beast eating the transport vessel, as it would be more understandable as the one transporting the space vessel is not even an Essence user. All of them are highly privileged people. Why would they need to drive such things if you can use other people to do it for you.

"No, the report stated that a meteorite hit the transport vessel during travel and entered the space of abstralis" the man at the end of the table said while showing them the wreckage of the accident. Through the hologram, the transport ship was smashed to smithereens. You could see its parts floating in space. A single seed could not be seen in the wreckage.

"That was some unlucky coincidence, but where are the seeds? I don't see them" a hooded man said while questioning where the seeds are, as they didn't see the seeds as the other 3 nodded as to why the seeds were not there. Hearing this, the man at the end of the table searched at the hologram in front of him and showed another hologram in front of them. This time it shows a video of the space moving like a wave of water. The others are surprised at this because this wave is not a wave at all. They know what it was. It was a veil to hide something.

"The seeds are inside it in the space of abstralis. We have sent an essence user there and returned that those things are waking up, forcing the essence users I've sent to return back" the man at the end of the table said as the others listened to this while also looking at the hologram more intently, as creating a veil is actually easy yet also the most effective when using to hide through senses or any essence-based searching, although they could only be seen through normal eyes.

"Did the seeds destroy the protective barrier that hides the veil, right?" the man with glasses deducted it due to him knowing the area well enough that a veil does not exist in that place at all. It just suddenly appeared when the seeds were lost. This might be the reason why the seeds entered that place. Maybe, through the instinctive desire to grow faster, the space inside the veil had some effect that could be helpful to hasten the growth of the seeds of the fake Eternal Flower.

"You are correct on this one. The seeds did destroy it as it wanted to grow faster, so when the transport vessel was destroyed by the meteorite, we theorized that it sensed something that could hasten its growth. Maybe with this, we could also use the fabric space in that area as a way to hasten their growth. Although there's a problem, the seeds might have already grown into a flower now" the man at the end of the table said, agreeing with the man with glasses and also stating that the fabric of space in that area might be able to help them hasten the growth of the seeds of the fake Eternal Flowers for their cause, but there's a problem. The seed might have already grown, and that many seeds is not something they can waste on Essence users just to take a sample of that fabric of space in that area. The loss of Essence users would be more than the loss of 1.8 million imitations of Eternal Flowers. Doing so to take just a sample of that space might make them lose a total of an estimated number of 500 million Essence users, and that's too much. Essence users are already rare and should be used to fight an original Eternal Flower rather than fighting an imitation of the Eternal Flower.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

"Then how can we recover from this loss? You must remember that even a single imitation already took us over 873 millions of years just to create one of them, and every single cell, atom, and energy must be precise just to create it, or it will just be a failure, and especially that the Secret Society is making their moves left and right. They had already destroyed multiple instances of the imitation when we tried to test it, and they surely did throw their strongest Essence users in the field just to destroy it" the pink-haired woman said, stating that their situation is not favorable at all, even a single bit. The Secret Society is becoming more decisive in their movements, and on top of that, they have very powerful Essence users on their sides, making it even harder to hide because if they were found out, they would instantly go into fighting, killing and destroying each other in the instance both sides met.

All of a sudden, a person entered the meeting room. It was a woman holding a hologram in her hands. Seeing this, the people in the room looked at her but suddenly looked at the hologram. Seeing it, they looked at the hologram with surprise at what it showed. They have no need for the woman to explain, as they already know what Abstralis is. Free of the fake Eternal Flowers, they are turned into dust by something they don't know. Although they still don't know why, they understood something, they could finally get a sample of the fabric of space in the Abstralis and use it to hasten the growth of the fake Eternal Flower to finally end the Secret Society, yet they could also use the grown fake Eternal Flower to protect everything without using the lives of Essence users.

"All of you go there, send a scientist team there now, and also bring a few platoons of Essence users to scout the area and protect the scientist team gathering data on the fabric of space in the abstralis" the man at the end of the table said as he stood up from his chair as the other 4 also stood up and bowed.

"Your wish is our command" the 4 people said as they heard him say that, leaving the woman who holds the hologram dumbfounded because she still hasn't explained it yet, but it seems they already know, as the 4 people suddenly disappeared from their positions, doing their jobs to get a sample of the fabric of space in the area and scouting it for anyone who made the fake Eternal Flowers disappeared turning it into a dust.

"Um, sir, I still haven't told you about what happened to the Abstralis yet" the woman who still holds the hologram said.

"You do not need to worry about it. We already knew about it when you entered" the man said as he stood while looking at where the fish were swimming.

"Is that so? Then I'll take my leave" the woman said as he was about to leave, but the man stooped him.

"Hey Tiara, do you want to hear my story about why I started this? I know you've wanted to know about it ever since you've worked under me, and since my time is coming close, the price for what I've done is already eating me away, so I'll at least want to pass my story on to you" the man said while looking at the woman who looked at him with surprise.

"Really sir!? You will tell me your story!" the woman said as if she had been surprised ever since she was little when this man in front of her saved her at that time. She has always wanted the reason for everything he has done. He is a bad person to others, but she knows that deep inside, the man in front of her was once a very kind person.

"Of course, it started 200 thousand years ago" the man said as the woman sat in the chair, listening to the man's story.
