Chapter 1 - God Descendance

Chapter 1 - God Descendance

Deep under the surface of the world, so deep that no man could venture here, there was a cave inaccessible by the outside world. In this cave which was so pitch black that not even the sharpest of eyes could distinguish anything, a shape was moving about in the shadows. This shape, no, this man was endlessly walking from one side to the other in this relatively cramp space. His face bore the typical signs of someone deeply troubled. Eyes squinting, body shaking and an endless muttering after every step in this cave was taken. He wore a handsome face, hair pitch black at medium length, eye’s yellow almost to the point of appearing golden which in turn conveyed a strong belief in self-acceptance and self-confidence. His attire was what most people would consider his downfall, at least in the aspect of outer appearance. The man was wearing nothing but torn up pieces of linen, what might have been masterfully crafted clothing attire before was long forgotten.

This man was none other than Honem. Honem the current and founding emperor of the Bhazi Empire. The great Bhazi Empire had conquered most of the known world during its short 10 year life. All under the command and guidance of the greatest warrior and magician to ever walk the world in the last 1000 years or so, Honem the son of Rathes and the unifier of nations. Almost nothing could stand in the path of Honem strategic and martial might. Under his short 10 years of rule only the other 2 great empires could muster up resistance in his wake and it wasn’t long until he had taken a lot of their territory as well. Even though common people thought that the victories were taken by strategic might and that Honem above all possessed a godlike mind for war those who had seen him on the battlefield would beg to differ.

Honem son of Rathes and unifier of nations had a secret, a secret that would shock most of the world in to chaos; he was without a doubt in his mind, a god.

Well the term god could definitely be opposed but he had at least transcended the realm of men entering into a realm completely different, a realm where his martial might was unmatched and godlike to the normal man. The sun continent abided under an unspoken rule, martial might could rule over all. Martial training therefore began very early in every youngling’s life, the richer the family the better the circumstances. The rich could bring in masters that had already reached the heights to teach and cultivate their offspring’s. The commoner though did not have this privilege and would have to forge their own path. The difference between a man that cultivated and a man that didn’t could only be described as the difference between heaven and earth. The continent and the world was clustered in a substance that could only be described as life energy or in Sun continent terms: Ki (In our terms The Force as a Star Wars reference). By different methods of absorbing this substance one could contain the energy inside on self to bring forth great power, or you could let the energy nourish and develop your body, the application techniques was with 100.000 years of history indeed numerous.

Humans were just one of many species that roamed the Sun continent but they all had in accordance a strong a proven belief on how to access martial might. Every living being was differentiated by four realms and ten levels, and when reaching the later part of the tenth level would one ascend their current realm into a new more powerful one. Every new born being was born into the Spirit Profound Realm although there had been special diversions from this common rule they were so few that they would only appear once a thousand years. 90 percent of every living being came into this world at the first level of the spirit realm and the other 10 percent somewhere along its path. By constantly nurturing and cultivating both in martial techniques and Ki absorption techniques people would ascend levels in the martial hierarch but obviously at different speed. What followed was the Nascent Profound Realm which was a realm a great deal of society never would experience. Earth Realm, at this stage you were already considered a master by most or a genius by many, only the worlds truly adept would ever lay their eyes on this glorious Ki energy streaming through their veins.

Heavenly Profound Realm, beings currently in this realm is said to be less than a hundred and closer to fifty. Once you entered this realm not only were you revered and worshiped where ever you went you could also wield the technique that made it possible to fly at the seventh level of the skies at the highest of altitudes. Every young cultivator dreamed of walking the skies and looking down on the mightiest of mountains.

So what happens after you transcended the Heavenly Profound Realm. The realm that went against the laws of god and the universe? Only one man knew the answer to this question and he was currently trapped deep in the core of the very world he once ruled.

“There have to be some way to get out of here. I wield the power of a god but I can still not force my will on this damn rock” Honem said with a gloomy voice and even gloomier face.

“I can’t summon any profound power inside this cave…. Then the only answer has to be that it has sealed my power right?” Even though the closest living being might be over a thousand miles from Honem’s current location he couldn’t help talking to himself to calm his nerves. Being stuck here for a couple of days might be fine, but it had already been way longer than that. How long? Well Honem didn’t really know since it was hard to keep track of anything in this complete darkness.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

“At least I don’t require any food or water to survive. If this is not a sign of godhood then I don’t know what is…”

Honem couldn’t contain his anger and disappointment and started beating at the wall in front of him but obviously to no avail. The rock were incredibly sturdy and was for some reason pitch black instead of that grayish color most of as used to.

“Pitch black hmmm, this has to be that old fellow’s doing. But why trap me? I already fulfilled my promise”

- Thundering twin peak about 430 years ago –

Two mountain peaks stood at fourth level of heaven. Their greatness could only be described as majestic and breathtaking but their beauty could not be taken lightly because with the great sight came great danger. The two peaks who were once of the same mountain had split by the devastating power of the heavens. Being too close to the sky had unintentionally brought the rage of thunder with them and they were therefore known as the Thundering Twin Peaks one of the most desolate and unreachable place in the known world and by definition one of the most dangerous.

But overlooking these two monstrous peaks, two men stood facing each other in midair. One of them was an old bald man with fierce eyebrows and even fiercer eyes. He radiated the feeling of a true ancient expert who stood above all; he wore a black monk coat covering most of his rather thin body. Surprisingly enough the wind didn’t seem to affect the ancient experts coat, it didn’t flutter in the wind or more precisely it didn’t move at all. Opposing him stood a young man who looked to be in his early twenties or even younger, he had a handsome face and masterfully crafted clothes that amplified his already mesmerizing appearance.

“Why have you summoned me, Lord Ari?” The youth said as his coat continued to flutter in the wind.

“Haha, you don’t seem intimidated at all. I quite like that about you. Well to the point, you entered the Heavenly Profound Realm recently am I correct?”

“You are correct” The young man didn’t have the patient to wind into Lord Ari first words, because this character before him was none other than Lord Ari the oldest Heavenly Profound Realm expert known. Some even speculated that he had lived for more than a million year; although this was never proven it was without a doubt according to the history books very plausible. This is even stranger since most experts of the Heavenly Profound Realm only have a life spawn of about one thousand years. Lord Ari was an entity that did not oblige by the mortal world, and only the most revered people of the Sun Continent even knew that he excited.

“You are probably the youngest expert I have seen step into the Heavenly Realm. I am impressed” Lord Ari couldn’t help but smile at the young expert before him.

“Enough small talk, why have you summoned me to thundering peaks?” Impatience grew stronger and stronger on the face of the young expert.

“I see that you are impatient. I live at the very northest part of this world, a place way beyond the reach of the current Sun Continent. Before you reach the pinnacle of the Heavenly Profound Realm please come seek me out with the scroll of eternal fire”

“That’s all?” The youth was rather dumbfounded; this task was without a doubt not something incredibly hard. The youth had heard from other people that the requests Lord Ari would require were of great importance, but this seemed rather trivial.

“Yes, that’s all. I will take my leave now good luck with further endeavors”

Before the youth could even reply the old man had already disappeared without a trace. His speed was way faster than the youth, so fast that his eyes couldn’t even follow his tracks. The youth was even at the third level of the Heavenly Profound Realm, but keeping track of the old man came to no avail.

“Even though I came after I ascended the Heavenly Profound Realm, the punishment shouldn’t be eternal prison right?” Honem couldn’t help being rather pissed at the old man’s actions. I mean this was a trivial task right? Another option was that it wasn’t Lord Ari that did this at all and someone else was after him. But even though Honem had made several enemies during his empires conquest none were even close to as strong as him and could therefore not retaliate.

The only logical answer was the old monk, Lord Ari. He who could move so fast not even a person from the Heavenly Profound Realm could grasp his technique.

Even though Honem may have grasped who the culprit of this whole scheme was, the problem of getting out of here still remained.
