So, it's the apocalypse, yay. No more jobs, no more taxes, no more freaking anything. Less stress overall, even with giant killer rats, mosquitoes, and all the rest. Our protagonist, Jesse, is trying to survive the apocalypse. Woohoo, let's all root for her. She has a bit of a weird mind; her body's got scars all over it, and let's not spoil anymore about who she is; let's just say she's been through some stuff. She doesn't know it yet, but she has a year and a day to somehow make her planet safe, or safeish, and I don't know about you, but monsters everywhere are not conducive to safety. With her intellect, sheer grit, and somehow or another a huge helping of luck, both good and bad, here's hoping she can make it, because if not, well, I don't want to spoil the surprise. This book will have some basic tags from the beginning: adventure, action, mystery, horror, etc. Others will be added as needed in the future as things start expanding. This is my first book. I am a native English speaker...sorta. Do give me some constructive criticism; it shows you care. My final goal with this book is to write an amazing series and an amazing story about the journey of Jesse and the other characters and to show character growth and overall just entertain you. Because sometimes reality stinks, so a good book and a reading nook with some snacks, a lamp, and a blanket, and you're happy for life. This book is first person for the first Arc, so about the first 10 or so chapters after that it moves to a third person unreliable with a smattering of first person point of views. I like the unreliable narrator and think it is interesting as a story device. The reason being you yourself have to think a little to figure out what's truth and what's not and how each of what I say in the mystery reveals itself as a bigger unfolding of events, little by little. Overall, it's a good book, is what I hope my ratings, comments, and reviews say. Do all of those, yeah. Wouldn't you want to be encouraged if what you're doing is awesome or not?
