1. The Warrior of God

A week had passed since Eli had started living with the Vici brothers, and she had learned a lot about the vampiric world, there are two major powers that rule over the vampiric world and she had heard of them before, however she did not know their inner working until now, the first one is the Supreme Council, that is currently composed of the heads of the 12 supreme clans and a 13th seat for the leader of MOON, the Supreme Council makes the important decisions that will affect the vampiric world, the second one is MOON, also called the Guild, they are the military power that gives rankings to vampires depending how strong they are, the rankings are (from weakest level to strongest level):
* Epsilon level – this is the lowest level, epsilon level fighters rarely fight against demons, they are mostly in administrative positions.
* Delta level – this is the 2nd lowest level, usually vampires with this level can fight but need to be in teams or serve as support for stronger vampires.
* Gamma level – the vampires at this level are in the middle of the strength tier.
* Beta level – this level is considered a high ranking in strength.
* Alpha level – vampires at this level are usually able to clear light gray cracks on their own, they are also generally team leaders of covens.
* Sigma level – the second highest level you can reach in the Guild, they usually operate alone, as fighting in groups is usually disadvantageous for them, because all the levels below them get in their way.
* Omega level – the highest level, there can only be 4 vampires of this level at any given time, this level is reserved for living legends with the ability to clear a black crack on their own.
She learned of the Covenant of Silence, which used to be the sacred rules the vampiric world lived by before they revealed themselves to humanity, now only two out of the three sacred rules were still valid and active, they are:
* Vampires shall not get involved in human affairs.
* Vampires shall protect humans from the demons.
* Vampires and their society shall remain secret from humans. (no longer applies)
She learned about an artifact that was called simply The Machine, which allowed the vampires to identify when a crack appeared, it had the power to monitor the entire planet looking for cracks, and also it could move the cracks to more isolated areas to some extent, in the past this was used to keep the secrecy of the vampiric world, it also has the ability to alter the mind of humans on a planetary scale, that is how the vampires had maintained themselves hidden until 24 years ago.
Lastly, she had learned there were 3 types of demons:
* White Demons, which were the weakest and usually were mindless killing machines, they had the name White Demons because they appeared from white cracks. Their level of danger meant they could be a threat to anything from a street to an entire town.
* Gray Demons, which depending on the shade of gray of the crack, could be nearly as weak as a as White Demons and didn’t have much intelligence, or if the shade of gray was darker, they could even be nearly as strong and smart as low-level Back Demons. Their level of danger meant they could be a threat to anything from a large city to an entire country.
* Black Demons were the strongest and smartest demons, they appeared to be humanoid. Their level of danger meant they could be a threat to anything from a large country to the entire planet.
She also asked Alan for more details about Eris Eden, her character, her followers, and anything else he knew about her bloodline, however he told her she was going to have to find that out by herself, he told her that at the end of summer when she joins MOON, she could go up the ranks and find all the information she wanted in the archives in MOON’s HQ, they had all the information she wanted to know.
Eli was currently engaged in a battle with a demon that came out of a gray crack, she was not the only one fighting the light gray demon, she was receiving support from 2 gamma level vampires.
This demon was the last one she needed in order to complete her first task, she had already defeated 49 demons.
The demon swung its massive arm, and Eli was able to cut it off with one blow from her hand reinforced with blood, a technique that Alan had thought her a few days ago, he had told her that she was getting strong at an incredible rate, but she felt she still had a long way to go.
When the demon swung its other arm, the other 2 vampires were able to block that attack and she was able to give it a fatal blow to the heart, she had defeated her 50th demon.

-that was incredible, you managed to pierce its skin so easily, I guess is to be expected from someone of the Vici family, but still, impressive- one of the 2 gamma level vampires told Eli, his name was Bill.

-yes, everybody has been talking about you this past week, ever since Alan send the public message to the Council, everyone has been wondering what the new kid on the block is like, hehehehehe- Bill said while blushing.
-well, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Anyways, I’ll be seeing you all later then- Eli said while waving goodbye to them.
They both said their farewells and left too, just in that moment, Eli received a call from Luke.
-good morning, Mr. Luke, did something happen- Eli said, her tone was curious and at the same time a little nervous.
-good morning, Eli, yes, something happened, an emergency summons has been sent to the 12 leaders of the supreme clans and the head of the Guild, we need you to come back to the mansion, we need to talk about what our next move will be- Luke said, his tone was serious.
-ok, understood, I will be there soon- Eli said, and started running towards the Vici state.

Alan was sitting in his desk, and Luke was sitting in a sofa that was pointing at Alan’s desk, it was a room for special meetings, it was surrounded by ancient books.
Eli entered the room and sat on a couch that was right next to Luke’s, the air in the room was tense.
Alan was the first to break the silence -the emergency summons could mean a myriad of things, so this is not necessarily something we need to worry about, however it is a pretty big deal for an emergency summons to be invoked, in my opinion this could mean the Warrior of God has appeared- as soon as Alan finished saying this, she saw Luke’s face fill with worry.
-brother, do you really think the Warrior of God has appeared so soon? last time it took around a thousand years to appear, what makes you think it has appeared so soon? – Luke said
-it’s just a hunch, I could be wrong, but if I’m right, this could mean trouble…- Alan said and got interrupted by Eli.
-hold on a second, can you explain to me what the Warrior of God is exactly? and why is it a bad thing? – Eli said in a frustrated tone.
-sorry, Eli, we let the shock get the better of us, I’ll gladly explain, you know that around 500 years ago, Eris Eden was defeated and killed, but what you don’t know is that the 12 Supreme clans were not fighting alone, they received help from a powerful being that the catholic church called the Warrior of God, he was the incarnation of the archangel Michael, and appeared as a warrior when the situation was looking very grim for the vampiric and human world, the Warrior of God managed to, with the help of the most powerful vampires, kill Eris Eden, the reason it could be troublesome, is because the Warrior of God can detect any descendants of Eris Eden by sight, so if my hunch is right, he could detect and report you to the leaders of the other 11 clans, then we could have major problems on our hands-as Alan finished explaining, Eli looked confused.
-wait, I don’t understand why this is a problem, I just have to stay out of sight from this so-called Warrior of God, and all should be fine, right? -Eli said
-the problem is, we must take you with us to this meeting of the Supreme Council, because if we don’t, it will look extremely suspicious to the other members of the council, so if Alan is right, they could discover you right there on the spot- Luke said, he was pale, and now Eli looked troubled too.
- so, then what do we do? -Eli said
-we must take the risk and take you to the meeting, everyone has been making a fuss over you this past week, they all want to meet you, they are all wondering why the Vicis have decided to adopt a new member into the family, we are going to have to take the risk and hope to God my hunch is wrong- Alan sounded tired.

-yes, the Warrior of God is not vampire, elf, giant, dragon, beast-folk, or demon, they are for all intents and purposes human, however they have many abilities that make them the most powerful warrior of humanity, there are three tests that the person has to pass to be considered the Warrior of God, first they have to turn base metals into gold with a touch, then they have to walk on water, and lastly they must be able to take out Excalibur, one of the three sacred arms of humanity, from the stone, once these three tests have been passed, the Warrior of God is raised by one of the leaders of the 12 clans, the powers of the Warrior of God usually manifest at age 15, just like a vampire’s power would manifest at the same age- Alan explained.
-but do we know what their personality is like? maybe we can convince them that I’m here to help humanity, and not to destroy the world- Eli asked curiously.
- unfortunately, all we know about the Warrior of God is that they must be deeply religious, all other information about the previous Warrior has been sealed by the leaders of the 12 supreme clans that lived 500 years ago to avoid leaks of information- Alan said in a worried tone. -also, the summons for the Supreme Council was made by the leader of said Council, Harry Flamel, and he is a sly old man, we should stay on our toes even if the Warrior of God hasn’t appeared, he is troublesome too. –
-in that case, I say we stop worrying about what we cannot control, and just do our best, and if the Warrior of God appears then we’ll just have to convince them that I’m a good guy- Eli said in self-assured tone. The mood lightened up a little.
-you know Eli, this could very well be the end of the Vici clan and of your life, yet you are still as bright as ever, I’m glad we met each other- Alan said smiling, and at that moment the three of them just laughed, because, what else could they do?

Luke had to stay behind to supervise and support the other vampires in the United States because cracks keep appearing at an alarming rate, however Alan and Eli managed to make it to the emergency summons.
A day had passed since the summons had been sent, and they were right on time, the leaders of the 12 clans had all taken measures to keep their respective countries safe in their absence.
They were all inside London’s HQ, many of the other clan leaders had come to talk to Eli wanting to know more about her, they were curious, they asked her where she came from? And what her goals were? Once the fuss was over and all the other people had taken their seats, Alan said-all right while we wait for the old man, time for a quick quiz Eli, tell me the name of all the clans along with the countries they reside in-
-ok, so let’s see if I remember correctly- Eli said -the names and countries are:
* The Vici clan resides in the United States.
* The Fulcanelli clan resides in the United States.
* The Boucher clan resides in Canada.
* The Ambrosius clan resides in the UK.
* The Flamel clan resides in France.
* The Rákóczi clan resides in Russia.
* The Bryus clan resides in Russia.
* The Aoki clan resides in Japan.
* The Yang clan resides in China.
* The Liu clan resides in China.
* The Abiola clan resides in Nigeria.
* The Bennet clan resides in Australia.
And those would be all the clans and the countries they are based on, if I’m correct- Eli said. -you got all of them correct in the first try, very good Eli, you have been studying I see- said Alan in a satisfactory manner.
The 13th sit was empty, Alan had told Eli that the leader of the Guild couldn’t make it because of the crack crisis all around the world, but that he would be informed of all that happened in the meeting after the meeting was over.
The room quieted down once the leader of the Supreme Council showed up, Harry Flamel was an old man who radiated power and dignity, Eli thought he seemed as powerful as Alan.
they were in a big room with a rectangular table, the entire HQ seemed like it had been built in the premodern era, there were 13 seats, and the other guests apart from the leaders had to stand up behind their respective leaders, Eli was standing behind Alan.
-good morning, everyone, and welcome, without further to do, we shall get started with what has brought us here today, I summoned all of you because there has been a very important development, in fact this development could give us a clue as to why more cracks have been appearing as of late- he stopped there, there was an air of intense curiosity and expectation in the room, after a few seconds had passed Harry Flamel continued -the Warrior of God has appeared…- as soon as he said that the entire room exploded in noise, everyone started talking and you could hear some of the clan leaders asking if this meant that a descendant of Eris had appeared.
-everyone, please, be quiet, we have to asses this situation with a critical and calm mind, the Warrior of God appeared in Germany a week ago, his powers awakened right when he turned 15,I have brought him here to this meeting to see if he can detect if any of us or our associates are the descendant of Eris, after all, we should all get cleared before we can continue this conversation- the old man said.
-wait, are you trying to say that you suspect one of us of being a descendant of Eris the tyrant? What kind of nonsense is that, our ancestors bled and died to kill that monster- said Eddie the leader of the Yang clan, and many of the other leaders joined him in his questioning.
-please, everyone quiet down, we just need to make sure that no one in this room has betrayed us so we can continue and decide a course of action- Harry Flamel said -please, Gabriel, could you bring the kid into the room- after the old man said that, the young man that was behind him went outside and a few seconds later he entered the room with a boy, the boy was tall for his age, he had blue eyes and blonde hair, he irradiated light, and his mere Prescence dispersed the tension in the room, bringing peace with his gaze , and he seemed calm even though he had been thrust in the middle of a room full of powerful vampires, he had a sword on his back, Eli assumed that was the mythical Excalibur.
-his name is Tommy Albrecht, everyone please remain still. Tommy, do you see any individual here that has a purple aura with purple lighting surrounding them? – Harry asked in a serious tone.
Tommy looked around and the tension could be felt trough every inch of the room, his gaze stopped right when he was looking at Eli, at that point Alan was preparing himself for a fight, it seemed like the worst case scenario had come to pass, however after a few seconds of looking at Eli he continued scanning the room, until he stopped, looked at Harry and said- no, I don’t see anyone here with that aura, sorry- at that moment the entire room relaxed and Alan gave a sigh of relief.
-very well, I’m glad we were able to clear everyone, now we can continue with the meeting- Tommy stood beside Gabriel while Harry continued- there are a few things we can deduce based on Tommy’s awakening, first we can say with almost absolute certainty that a threat big enough to destroy us all is awaiting in the horizon. Second, we can also deduce that it is very likely that a descendant of Eris Eden that our ancestors did not manage to exterminate has awakened, which means we should look for them and eradicate them, and third we can deduce that the amount of cracks has increased exponentially as of late because this ancestor of Eris has awakened, all of these deductions would mean something dark is coming our way. -yes, what is to be done with the kid, Harry? What I mean is, who is he going to train under? – asked Elliot, the leader of the Boucher clan.

-I second that, I think we can trust Alan to prepare the kid for battle- said Elias, from the Fulcanelli clan, he was the tallest man Eli had ever seen, well over 7 feet tall however he was not too bulky, even then though, Eli could see the shape of lean but firm muscle under his shirt and he also was the only other member of one of the 12 Supreme clans who was an omega level vampire, just like Alan, and just like Alan he had an air of absolute power around him, however unlike Alan he had abdicated the leadership of the Fulcanelli clan to his younger brother. And Eli wasn’t sure, but he seemed like he was hiding his full strength, and even while hiding his full power he seemed to be as strong as Alan, maybe even a little stronger. The rest of the clan leaders readily agreed, it seems both of them being omega level vampires had a huge sway in the decisions that were taken among the Supreme Council.
-very well, it seems we have reached an agreement, Alan please take good care of the kid, meanwhile, we should all be ready for the unexpected, things are changing rapidly and we all need to be vigilant, with that being said, I think we can conclude this meeting, gentlemen, have a nice day- said Harry and him and the man called Gabriel exited the room.
The rest of the clan leaders and the vampires that had come with them dispersed rather quickly, Eli thought the reason for them leaving so soon, had to do with the cracks that had to be dealt with in the countries they resided, she thought that was the same reason the meeting had such an abrupt ending.
When Alan, Eli and Tommy were walking towards the building’s exit the young man named Gabriel that accompanied Harry Flamel, appeared in front of them- master Flamel would like to speak with the 3 of you in private, if you would please follow me-Gabriel said in a tone of finality.
They followed him without asking a question, Eli thought that if Alan was keeping quiet it was wise for her to do the same.
They entered a room that seemed very clinical and simple, there were two sofas in the middle of the room, Harry was sitting in one of them, so the trio sat in the other sofa looking directly at that one.
-the reason I called you here is because I have some questions for the three of you, starting with you, Alan- Harry said-who is this girl? why did you decided to adopt someone into your family?
Alan looked defeated, in that moment Eli understood Alan was about to tell everything to the old man, but she didn’t stop him, she figured he knew what he was doing-Eli, as you may already suspect, is in fact a descendant of Eris Eden, she awakened her powers when she turned 15 and we believe that is the reason for the increase in cracks-Alan said, he also looked sort of relieved, like if a huge burden had been lifted from his body.
-I see, so I was right, as usual, I’m guessing you have a plan and that’s why you have not eliminated her? – Harry asked.
-yes. I believe that if she learns to control her powers, she could help to stop the cracks from opening on earth, the reason I believe that is possible, is because I think she is an ally of humanity, I knew the rest of the council would see her as a threat however when I see her, I see hope for the future, she could help us in ways we don’t even know, if she learns to master her powers. So, what now old man? What are you going to do now that you know this? – Alan asked in a concerned tone.
-I don’t know yet, but I will at the end of this conversation with the three of you, now I have a question for you Tommy, why did you lie and didn’t tell the council about her? – Harry pointed at Eli.
Tommy didn’t panic, he looked very calm when he said -because I knew the council would do something bad to her if they found out that information, although I guess your question refers more to why I care what happens to her? –
-that’s right, I want to know why you care? - Harry asked

Eli then looked him in the eyes and said, without hesitating-I’m an ally, before my powers awakened, I had a brother that I loved very dearly, he was my only family, when he died I thought I had nothing left to live for, however with these powers I now believe I can make a difference, I will not surrender, I will not wallow in self-pity anymore, I’m going to fight, for myself and for humanity-
Harry was silent for a moment, deep in thought, after a few minutes without saying anything, he laughed and said-hahahahahahaha, to think, even in my old age, I would get to live in such interesting times, this is truly amazing. Alright, I believe the three of you are telling the truth, so what was said in this room shall remain a secret, oh, by the way Alan, you and Luke have to drop by the Flamel state, Nick misses his older brothers-
-I will as soon as we manage to get the cracks under control. Thank you, old man, for understanding, I’m glad we have an ally in you- Alan said relieved.
-no problem, Alan, now, if you all would excuse me, I need to get going back to France, as much fun as this detour was, there is no time to waste, cracks are appearing like cockroaches, I hope you all manage to achieve your goals- after saying that, Harry left the room. The meetings were over, and now they had a new ally, the Warrior of God was on their side.

In the airplane, on their way to the United States
-you seemed to already have some history with Mr. Flamel, I knew that you were part of the council, but you two seemed like more than acquaintances- Eli said to Alan, she was sitting right across from him in the airplane and Tommy was sitting next to Eli.
-when Luke and I were very young, both our parents died, the Flamel family took us in and allowed us to live with them until we had become powerful enough to keep the Vici name relevant, you could say Harry is like a father to me and Luke, that’s why I told him right away about you when he confronted us, because I trust him- Alan said
-I see, by the way, who is Nick? – Eli asked
-Nick is the biological son of the old man, me and Luke have known him since he was born, so he is like a younger brother to us- Alan said with a smile on his face as if remembering a happy memory, then he turned to Tommy-so, you can see people’s soul, that seems to be a pretty useful ability-
-yes, to tell you the truth, I still haven’t grown accustomed to all the new revelations, like the fact that vampires are real, and that I have these powers, it all still seems a little surreal- Tommy said.
-regardless, thank you, for having our backs back there, because of you we were able to convince Mr. Flamel- Eli said with a warm smile.
-oh, it was nothing, I was just telling the truth, anyways, what now? Am I going to be adopted into the family like Eli? – Tommy said curiously.
-your situation is a little different than Eli’s, the Vici family will be your guardians and will train you so you can become more powerful, however you will keep your name since you are not a vampire, you are the Warrior of God and when your powers are a necessity you need to be ready- said Alan in a serious tone.
-I understand that, I will give it my best so I can be of help to humanity- Tommy said in a serious tone too.
-the time we have left of this flight you two should get to know each other, since you will be training together from now on- Alan said, and he got up, to leave the two kids alone with each other.
-alight, sounds fun- Eli said and Tommy and her started to talk about themselves and where they came from.

United States, the Vici mansion
Eli had learned a lot about tommy while on their way to the mansion, she learned that he is a devout Catholic, and was raised in a church orphanage in east Germany, he told her that before his powers awakened he wanted to study theology, to understand and love God in a more fulfilling way, she also learned that he is very polite, he never curses, and has a very strong moral compass, these things he didn’t say out loud, she was just able to deduce them by listening to him and seeing how he acts. Alan realized that Eli and Tommy had become friends in very short time.
Once they were back on the mansion, Alan told Luke what had happened, Luke did not seem surprised that Mr. Flamel had figured out the whole thing -the old man is as sharp as ever- is all he said.
-I know we just got here, but I want to start with the next task the system has given me, if that’s okay with you- Eli asked.
-you told me the system gave you some sort of game, you use it as training here in the mansion, but remember if it gets too dangerous, come back immediately, ok? – Alan said.
-understood- Eli said and started walking to the garden, once in the garden of the mansion, she pulled out the key that she had received for completing her task, she also wanted to explore the ability that had been given to her by the title of tulpamancer but she was more curious about the game, so she was going to explore that first, before she could click the entropy link in red in her screen, Tommy showed up.-hey, Eli, do you mind if I tag along, I asked Alan and he said that it was fine by him as long as you were ok with it-
She had never considered if it was possible to play the game with anyone apart from her, so she hesitated, but at the end she gave in-ok, you can come, lets see what the game says about it, but you have to promise me that you will listen to me, I’m the only one that can see the notifications of the system, so if tell you something you have to pay attention and listen to me, ok?- said Eli
-understood- said Tommy, he looked ready to fight, he had his sword on his back. In that moment Eli clicked the link, and a door appeared in front of them, it appeared to be floating in the air- can you see it? - Eli asked.

Eli slid the key in the lock on the door and it went in without an issue, the door opened, and at the other side there was what seemed like a dessert, and in the middle of it there was a small cabin, and further in there seemed to be a massive hole, Eli and Luke looked at each other and with a confident look they both crossed the door.

Inside Entropy
Both Eli and Tommy walked towards the cabin, the closer they got the more disheveled the cabin looked, they thought they were going to have to go inside, however when they were about to go up the stairs of the cabin, the door swung open. A woman came out, she had blonde hair, green eyes and fair skin, Tommy was stunned for a moment, she looked strikingly similar to Eli, with the only difference being that this woman was, well, a woman, she seemed to be in her late 20s, she came down the stairs, smiled and said- I, Eris, welcome you to my domain, this place is called The Wastelands, and the massive hole you see there is The Hellhole, within The Hellhole there are The 72 Daemon Lords, they cause destruction and devastation within The Hellhole, to complete this task you must defeat all 72 daemon lords and their forces, however only my descendants and those who are in their coven may enter- the woman calling herself Eris looked at Tommy then asked- is he part of your coven? –
Eli didn’t respond right away, she didn’t want to make a mistake, then after thinking for around a minute she said -yes, he is part of my coven-
-very well then, I shall also allow him to enter with you, however he must bear the mark of Eris- she said and in that moment Tommy felt a hot pain in his hand, it felt like he was being branded with a hot iron, then he saw in his hand a mark that he assumed was the mark of Eris, there were eight pointed arrows, they looked like this:
After that, Eris took something out of her robes. It was a pair of knives, they looked like karambits, then she said- this will be your first gift for making it into The Wastelands, you will need to stab each of the 72 daemons in their core with these knives otherwise the damage you give them shall regenerate, you will advance to lower level 2 once you defeat the first daemon lord and his forces in lower level 1, you cannot go out of a level unless you manage to defeat the daemon lord of said floor, once the lord is defeated the system will give you the options of saving your data for latter on and exiting or continuing advancing to the next lower level, are there any questions you have for me? -Eris asked while handing the knives to Eli.
-yes, what exactly are the daemon lords, are they demons or…-Eli was interrupted by Eris
-no, they are not demons, they are the army that Eris Eden commanded when she was alive, Eris Eden and her 72 Daemon Lords caused destruction and chaos wherever they went, to be more specific- Eris said
-I see, but what I meant was, where do they come from- Eli asked.

After that Tommy and Eli walked towards the massive hole and when they were 2 to 3 meters to the edge a notification popped in Eli’s system:

She clicked on enter, and another door appeared, however this one seemed to be made of solid stone, and there were stairs leading down to what they assumed was the 1st lower level, so they crossed the door and went in, as soon as they were both on the stairs the door shut itself, they were in darkness for a second or two and then torches leading the way down appeared, they continued going down.

It took them a few minutes to reach the end of the stairs, once they did, they were in what looked to be a dungeon, it seemed elegant yet macabre, they started walking and realized that it was massive, and all of a sudden 3 small beasts appeared, they were hiding behind some boulders.
Eli had experience in video games, so she recognized the type of monsters that appeared before them, they were without a doubt, goblins, Eli and Tommy didn’t even need to look at one another, they struck them down without much trouble, however they could hear footsteps approaching them.

They had spent almost one hour killing goblins, they were not difficult to deal with at the beginning but their numbers seemed to be endless, so they were both starting to tire out, when all of a sudden it sounded like a bunch of giants running towards them, before she even laid eyes on the creatures, Eli knew what they were,-it’s about time, are you ready for an actual fight?, the guys coming now are goblin champions, they are far stronger than the fodder we have been fighting- Eli said with excitement in her voice.
-yes, I’m ready, lets do this- Tommy said, he had been using a short sword, however sensing that these were no ordinary foes, he sheathed the short sword, and got Excalibur out of its scabbard. At that moment 4 huge goblins came out of the shadows.

Tommy elevated his sword and with one strike he cut off one of the monster’s arms, however almost instantly the limb regenerated, Tommy assumed they had to be given a fatal blow or the fight would go on because of their super regenerative abilities. With his next strike he tried to go for the head but the Goblin dodged out of the way before Tommy could decapitate him, they were also far faster than what they seemed, Eli seemed to be having trouble with them too, however Tommy had to focus on his fight, he threw the short sword at one of the monster’s head, the monster dodged however in that moment Tommy struck a clean hit and severed its head, one down, one to go.
Eli saw the faint that Tommy used and followed suit, she threw a blood slash at one of the monster’s head and when it dodged, she severed its head, they were both doing pretty well.
Minutes later they had managed to defeat the other 2 goblin champions.

After defeating the monsters, they took some time to recover, they were a little exhausted after all the waves of goblins that had appeared, and they seemed to be right in the entrance of the Daemon Lord’s lair, they both wished they had brought something to eat or drink, and Eli made a mental note for next time.

When they entered the daemon lord’s chamber, they saw he was not alone there were 4 other creatures with him, 2 at each side of him, Eli was pretty sure they were goblin shamans, so they probably were there for their magical abilities.
When they tried to get close the shamans shot fireballs at them, they were able to dodge them and Eli said- ok, can you cover me, I’ll take out the Lord, can you deal with the shamans? –
-yes, I can cover you, you just focus on getting the boss- Tommy said, in the little time they had known each other, they had already come to trust each other.
In that moment Eli ignored the magical attacks coming her way and made her way to the daemon lord, Tommy covered her and started fighting with the shamans, the daemon lord was more than twice the size of the goblin champions, and had a club he swung with blurring speeds, she managed to dodge, and cut some fingers off the beast, however he instantly regenerated, in that moment Eli remembered the words of Eris, when she said that the only way to defeat the Lord was striking the core, Eli figured the core was where the heart was supposed to be, she tried to attack the heart but the beast defended with the club, she barely managed to block the attack but was sent flying, and crashed to a nearby wall.
-are you okay? – Tommy shouted, concerned.
-I’m fine, I managed to block- Eli responded- you focus on your fight and don’t worry about me, I trust you, do you trust me? –
-yes, I trust you- Tommy said, with a smile, and he kept dodging the attacks of the shamans, Eli saw that he had already taken down one of them.
She launched herself at the beast at an incredible speed, the beast swung his club again, this time Eli dodged and then with a swing of one of her karambits she sliced of one of the arms off of the Lord, this time it took him a few seconds to regenerate a whole arm, she tried to go for the heart again, but the Lord pulled a giant sword out with his other arm, she barely managed to dodge that, and she threw one of the karambits at the beast’s head, the beast dodged then Eli manage to cut his other arm with a hand she had covered with hardened blood, but the other arm had almost entirely regenerated, however before the monster could swing the club to strike her, she pierced where she had guessed the Lords core was, in the heart, with the karambit she had left, the beast screamed and then he fell to his knees.
-very well, you have bested me, I admit surrender- the Lord said- I shall now be your faithful servant-

At the beginning Eli was surprised she was not expecting that response from the Daemon Lord, however, when she thought about it, it made sense, since the 72 Lords had been part of Eris Eden’s army, she turned to see how Tommy was doing, he had managed to defeat another shaman, and the other 2 were now kneeling and looking at Eli.
-we did it, I can’t believe we actually cleared it- Tommy said with an excited but exhausted tone.
-yes, we did it, but I’m wiped, I think we should exit now and come back when we have recovered our strength- Eli said, also exhausted.
Tommy just nodded, and Eli clicked on exit in the system screen, the door they had entered Entropy from appeared, they opened it and they saw it led to the spot they had entered from.
