Breathing in the air around me I was able to quickly sense the Qi, after all this wasn't my first time cultivating.
Rather I just lacked a dantian and couldn't hold the Qi I cultivated, hopefully this time it'll be different.
Guiding the Qi to where the lower Dantian should have been located I had trouble controlling the movement of the Qi.
This was the gap called talent, some could control Qi as if second nature, while the vast majority like me struggled in every shape and form. Cultivation really was a uphill battle.
Even as someone with mediocre talent I was probably on the most bottom rungs. Even a poor village youth in the mountains would have some experience controlling Qi, it was in the air after all.
Everyday breathing in and out Qi the human body would slowly be nourished and strengthened, not me however.
For that nourishment to take place you had to have a dantian capable of removing the impurities to create Pure Qi, otherwise it was no different than taking steroids. Of course the Qi still had impurities but that was for a latter time.
While every person had experience in this I didn't, how could I? The only way my body could be refined until now was through otherworldly treasures that held Qi already refined. Even then it was difficult since most treasures of such a high grade had so much Qi in them that if I tried to use them I would explode.
As such as I was slowly attempting to move the Qi I made mistakes often, more times than I could count I accidentally hit the side of my spirit veins causing insurmountable pain, most people would have already learned this step when they were still a child since the Spirit Veins would still be flexible enough to tolerate such mistakes, I on the other hand just had to suffer through it.
Finally after painstakingly slow progress I managed to bring a single strand of Qi into my dantian area, of course there was nothing there, and if I had tried to absorb the strand now I would find it was almost 90% impurities. Ever hear of drinking poison?
The next step in the cultivation technique was my only hope to be able to cultivate, and as expected of something as miraculous as letting a Cripple cultivate, it was quite unorthodox and difficult.
I slowly started to spin the Qi in a circle as I attempted to inhale another strand of Qi, I failed. And then I failed the five Times after that.
It was just to difficult for someone who's virtually a beginner in cultivation to control two strands at once, much less when their doing separate things.
I ended up wasting the rest of the morning (I woke up in the middle of the night) trying to control two strands of Qi.
Goddammit! I've already met a barrier in the most simple step of cultivation!
"Master it is morning, would you plea-"
"Do not let anyone disturb me, not even if the entire place caught in fire, UNDERSTOOD?"
Through the door the pitiful maids response could be heard "y-yes m-master sorry for disturbing you, to make up for it I'll make sure to guard your door"
"Good" I'll commit suicide before I'm defeated by such a insulting setback. Today I will either become a cultivator or a dead man.
Sitting back down I compilated solutions for my current plight, it all comes down to experience doesn't it? Cultivation can't be rushed after all. But I don't have time to waste. I'm already behind everyone else and I can't waste anymore time.
In just a week all the Top Sect's will be holding their recruiting ceremonies, if I miss this one I'd have to wait an entire year to join. Regardless of what results I obtain if I end up being a year late I would be the eternal laughing stock of the Spirit Continent.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" If I can't even do something as simple as controlling Qi, what right do I have to consider myself superior? The system should provide support, not be a crutch. What would happen when the system doesn't help me? By then I'd be so reliant on it I'd be useless on my own.
Seemingly having noticed my mood the voice no longer said anything.
Now that all the distractions have been taken care of I can finally do something truly stupid.
There was no point in trying to do it the conventional way, so why not try something unorthodox? They say only when you face danger is when you reveal your true talents. But just how much talent does a cripple have? Guess we're about to find out.
Taking slow and methodical breaths I manage to gather all the Qi my lungs can handle.
Not even being able to control two strands of Qi meant trying to keep a handle on this ball of energy was like rodeoing a bull.
It took all my might to prevent the Qi from expanding, which would in turn inflate me like a balloon. already feeling some regret for my actions it was to late to back out now. Fear is the excuse of cowards!
Now started the really stupid part of my plan, instead of slowly guiding the Qi through my veins I'd instead inject it full force through my body in a attempt to get enough Qi in my lower dantian to perform the next step of the cultivation technique.
With a mighty roar I pushed the Qi through my veins only for my voice to turn into cries of pain. The second most important organ for cultivating after the dantian was the Spirit Veins, likewise the second most fragile was also the Spirit Veins.
Of course like most in the cultivation world every shortcoming could be overcome through sheer talent, strong veins and perfect control made this one of the easiest steps. Rain did not have it so easy.
His veins were as fragile as glass and after such a intense push he was forced to feel as vein after vein started to get smashed into pulp from such immense pressure, but the bet managed to pay off
With it's strong beginning momentum the Qi had all managed to gather in the lower Dantian where he had to once again restrain it if he didn't want to turn into the first human balloon.
"Haaah. haaah."
With deep gulps of breath he attempted to calm down his nerves before the next step of the plan.
I can't fail now. My spirit veins are so destroyed they'd be unable to handle something so intense again.
With the Qi now in his lower dantian he started to slowly spin it around the center of his dantian, or rather where his dantian was supposed to be.
Starting slow with every rotation it started to pick up speed as its momentum started to slowly become truly terrifying. If he slipped up now even a strand of Qi would be able to gut him like a pig.
After he managed to make his Qi reach the max speed he could barely control he started the truly hard part of this technique.
Since there was no dantian for Qi you would have to make one yourself, and just how do you do that? Currently no one knew, to be considered a dantian it had to be able to hold and purify Qi, if it was just that then it wouldn't be so hard.
Once Magical Beasts reached a certain rank they'd be able to form a Beast Core, the Magical Beast's equivalent of a Dantian. There was only one problem, you also had to be able to control said Dantian as if it was a third hand, or rather sixth organ.
While humans are able to use Beast Cores in a variety of ways, such as Spirit weapons and cultivation resources, at the end of the day it was only a outside source. You'd never be able to control the core as if it was your own.
So what else could you do? Make your own Beast Core.
High Tier Cultivators had since long ago attempted to find a means of making their own beast cores, They all failed.
Why? Much the same as a Beast being unable to have two Beast cores humans weren't able to have two dantians, you could only have one or the other.
Just who would be crazy enough to cripple their self to figure out such a method? And what cripple would have the courage and know how to attempt such a method?
Rain was the only one, and would be the only one to use such a reckless method.
Using all his being he attempted to condense the Qi while retaining it's momentum, he failed. But he would not give up instead only increasing it's rotation before attempting it again.
It was slow work since every time he stopped to increase it's speed he lost almost all his progress, but with time he able to slowly shrink it to half it's regular size
This is as good as I'm going to get it, if I don't finish this now all my work might be lost, along with my life.
Having made up his mind he attempted the final step in making his Core, using insurmountable force to squeeze the ball of Qi as small as possible, most of the momentum would be lost with such a move but the whole point of the last step was to shrink it enough to be able to hold onto some of it's momentum after the violent movement.
Gathering the rest of my strength I used everything I had left to reduce its size, before I passed out from the immense pain I managed to reduce it to a ball the size of a needle tip
It slowly rotated around itself in all it's pitch black splendor, it's colour was of course because of all the impurities it contained.
[Able to form Core]
[Reward Obtained]
[Spirit veins are being reformed, if host is not currently unconscious then he will be incapacitated]
In a silent room all that could be heard was sounds of bones breaking, muscles ripping, and the pores of skin breathing.
To be able to hold new Veins his entire body had to be destroyed and be rebuilt from the ground up.
The person in question however was currently unconscious, again.
Maybe it was forever his fate to knocked out?
