Zortex was not in a rush, thus he started practicing his newly acquired spell. Acidic shot after acid shot kept coming out of his hands without difficulty, the only limit was his amount of mana. He also tried another overcharging with the spell crystal he had ended up not using, but he didn’t fell much different afterward.
The teacher said that by using crystals to overcharge, the level of the spell would increase faster rather than just by using the skill by normal means. That is because the body and mind get accustomed to the higher level of mana, so going back to the normal quantity would feel easier. Of course it would not go up to infinite, but at the beginning it is highly suggested. But to me is not working that way.

Just a few hours and it is already my highest level skill. It is too weird. Is it because it was already suggested when I got my class? Maybe I am just too slow learning my other skills. I need to check what happens with Blind.
The day was cloudy, so Zortex was able to stay outside without repercussions, obviously still wearing his dark bandages to mute all senses. He filled another raw crystal with mana and continued with the usual procedure, this time holding the black spell gem. Mana surged through his body passing from the spell crystal into the mana channels in a precise pattern, which converged into his hand into a black cloud, increasing in size just like it happened with the acidic shot. Zortex threw the blind spell against the barrier and it formed a black mist which expanded blocking all light in that place, it stayed in that position for a minute or so, slowly fading away. Zortex closed his eyes and savored the pattern of mana channels in his body that had opened through the crystal. As before, it was dissipating very slowly, thus he could study and memorize it easily. Meanwhile his mana was recovering so, as soon as he deemed to have enough, he tried once again to shoot the spell and he succeeded without trouble.
New skill learned: Blind
· By using your mana you can cast a curse of darkness to blind an enemy. The amount of darkness, obscurity, duration and speed can be improved by the amount of mana and the level of the skill.
Once again he acquired the spell at his first attempt, something that should not have happened.
Am I a genius? No. It must have something to do with my class. All the noobs around me don’t have affinities yet, instead I am already fixed in the path of darkness and anything similar to slimes. For any other element the pattern of mana channels completely disappear after I use the spell crystal and it is impossible for me to use by myself, so probably it means that for my affinities my channels are prepared to stay open much longer. It will probably be explained in one of the next lessons……..Ah! Fuck! I completely forgot that I had to go to follow the course. Now it is already over.
Zortex needed to learn more theory behind spell learning and spell creation, but for now he had already something to work around. He had a couple more spells to learn and he had to train a particular thing of one of them. Something really dear to him. He didn’t know if it would work, but it would certainly make his life much easier.
