Ch 7: Start of Plans

Keiichi and Sakura ran from monsters for an entire hour; however, they didn't feel tired. In this daily mission, Yato had eliminated the concept of tiredness, meaning Sakura and Keiichi would only have to run for an hour. The monsters' speed was also not very high, as this could make their survival difficult. In the end, Keiichi and Sakura managed to survive.

-

"Finally! I finally got out of that place! A damn system, you should let me know about these things in advance! What the hell!!" Keiichi was extremely angry. He ran for a whole hour without stopping, in the end, the ants were very close to him. He thought he was going to die, but the mission ended on time.

*Sigh!*

Hearing no response from the system, Keiichi sighed.

"I went through so much today… I think I'm just going to sleep." Keiichi lay down on his bed and went to sleep.

-

"Am I… alive?!" Sakura has never had such a terrifying experience. She was so scared that the only thing she could think about was running, in the end, she managed to survive before the monsters reached her.

"Yato!! What the hell do you think you're doing?! I almost died!" She started cursing Yato out loud; however, her screams were not answered. Seeing that Yato wouldn't show up, she decided to sleep.

"Today was so busy…" She muttered, falling silently into the dream realm.

-

*alarm!* *alarm!*

*Yawn!*

"What time is it?..." Sakura woke up with a sleepy expression and looked at the time.

11:50 AM

"Eh?!" Sakura got up from the bed, her expression dazed.

"I'm late!" She realized she was completely late for school. She hurriedly ran to shower. After showering, she changed into her school clothes and headed downstairs.

"Onee-Chan, I'm leaving!" Sakura warned her sister.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to school! I'm late!"

"Sakura… today is a holiday."

Sakura stopped her steps when she heard her sister's words.

"Ehh?!"

-

*Sigh!*

"My mind is a mess." Sakura had already gone back to her room. Recent events left her mind a mess, she even forgot that today was a holiday.

"Yato, show up… please!" She muttered, with a helpless expression.

"My mortal little girl with Chūnibyō, what do you want?" Yato said, with a smile. Sakura was already prepared for her appearance, so she didn't panic.

"Don't use that expression to talk to me, baka!" Sakura said, her cheeks a little red. She was ashamed when Yato talked about his syndrome. No one knew she had Chūnibyō apart from Yato. Sakura's sister thought she was just a playful girl.

"Yato… what am I supposed to do?" Sakura muttered, her expression helpless. She had in mind what she wanted to do, but she didn't know how to start.

"What do you want to do?" Yato snapped.

"Why are you asking? Can't you read my mind? You must also have other skills like that." Sakura said. She didn't know how powerful Yato was, but she was sure he was very strong.

"I know the things I want to know. I'm also not going to be reading your mind all the time. I hear that mortals value communication." Yato said, with a smile. He only knew what he wanted to know, he wasn't using his powers all the time. Most of the time—his ways were human.

'When in Rome, do as the Romans do'

"Well… I think you're right." Sakura also felt better that way. She didn't want someone reading her mind all the time.

"I want to make a name in this country, or rather… in the world. I need to be a person who is on top… without needing my family for that." Sakura's family was huge in the business industry; however, she didn't want to use her family name. She wanted to do this on her own, she wanted to prove to them that she could grow up without their help.

"That's a good goal for you to start. Your family is already big in the business industry; however, there are still many areas that your family doesn't control. How about you start with digital media?" Yato suggested.

Digital media on Sakura's planet was not very developed. Despite Sakura's planet being 8 years ahead of Keiichi's planet (in a matter of yearly calendar), digital media on Keiichi's planet was much more developed. Even though the two planets are occupied by humans, it doesn't mean they followed the same path. Keiichi's planet was a few years more technologically advanced than Sakura's.

"Digital media?...is this a good idea?"

"I'm sure it will be a good start for you." Yato explained to Sakura a bit of why social media will be so highly valued in the future.

"Great! I'll follow what you said; however, I need a few things first." Sakura would use her allowance to buy a company and implement her plan.

"Thanks for your help, Yato!" Sakura sincerely thanked him. She thought Yato wasn't as bad as he looked.

"You're welcome, now pay 500 points for my advice." Yato said.

Sakura's facial expression froze when she heard Yato's words.

"You… you CONCRAW!!!" She yelled as she pointed her index finger at Yato.

"Hahaha, I'm kidding, I'm kidding." Yato replied with a laugh.

"Hmph!"

"See, I'm going to teach you how you can speed up your plans. Do you want to learn… magic?" Yato said, with a little suspense. Sakura's eyes lit up when she heard Yato's words.

"Yato, you're not kidding, are you?! You're really going to teach me, aren't you?!" She said, with an excited expression. She wanted to learn magic. Despite gaining her unique ability, she didn't know how to use it.

"I'll teach you the basics of magic. Your talent is good so you can learn the basics quickly." Yato would teach Sakura and Keiichi the basics of magic, after learning the basics, they could explore their abilities more easily.

"First, I'll explain the difference between Mana and Magic. Mana is a type of energy. Magic is the act of manipulating Mana to accomplish something. Got it?"

"Yes!" Sakura replied. She felt like she was in a classroom; however, the subject she was learning was much more interesting than math.

"Magic isn't limited to just manipulating fire, water, air, or earth. Magic can be used to do infinite things. I'll teach you how to use Mana to gain access to your ability. Check this out..."

Yato created a mana sphere in his right hand.

"That 's Mana."

"F-Fantastic!" Sakura was fascinated by the mana sphere. She never thought she would see anything like this in her life.

"The ambient mana on your planet is not very abundant, situations like this can harm mages who have low magic mastery; however, for high-level mages, this situation is irrelevant—because they can generate mana through their core, take mana from elsewhere, create mana, etc."

"I'll teach you how to create an energy core and then teach you basic magic. Are you ready?"

"Yes!" Sakura yelled, her expression excited.

*tock!* *tock!*

"Sakura, who are you talking to?"

"H-Eh?! Onee-chan?! I'm just… playing Online games!" Sakura said, stuttering.

"Hahahaha." Yato laughed in Sakura's face.

"Do not laugh at me!!"

"Sakura?..."

"N-It's nothing, Onee-Chan. I was talking to the game people."

"Well… alright. Just don't make too much of a mess, I'm going to the company."

"Alright, good job, Onee-Chan."

"Thanks."

*steps!* *steps!*

"Whew! That was close." Sakura said.

"Don't worry too much about it, she can't see me or hear me. The most that can happen is she thinks you've lost your mind." Yato said.

"This is bad enough!" Sakura didn't want her sister to think she was crazy.

"Well, let's get back to training. You have long days ahead of you."

"Fufufu, you will see my rise on the path of magic. Will I, the witch of nightmares, dominate the entire… universe?... Multiverse?... Hyperverse? Ahh, I don't know..." Sakura began to deliriously think about her "future achievements".

"Your greed is high, Miss Nightmare Witch." Yato said, with a sarcastic smile. He thought Sakura was a girl with big ambitions. Who would have the courage to say they would dominate the Hyperverse by being a budding wizard? —The 10th-dimensional entities would probably laugh in Sakura's face if they heard that.

"Don't waste time raving, let's get started."
