The major sighed, slightly resenting their job of babysitter to the Falos bigot who kept pushing these poor people around. They explained exasperated, “You know that if you keep being so aggressive with your language and searching, one of them is going to put you on your ass, right?”
Their escort laughed, “As if they could! My scales are thick and durable. My muscles strong enough to lift a mountain! By Falos law, if any of these fragile apes could defeat me then they deserve the right. As if that could-“
“You will cease your tyranny, Scaled one!” The Vitticepta laughed as he faced the voice, expecting one of their foolish little firearms held by one ignorant of what has happened today. Instead his face contorted with confusion as he stared up at a rather small but muscular human in a colorful outfit and a slightly taller feminine shape next to them. The major couldn’t help but laugh as the lizard smelled the air. The masked figure shouted, “I am he whose heart beats with beauty and fire! Magnifico!” Leaping down and posing powerfully.
His partner jumped down awkwardly and posed as well, shouting, “And it is I...” she trailed off before coming back, “His sidekick!”
The dragon like officer laughed, motioning the Falos Knights to take care of them. The three warriors fired their beams at him, striking him square in the chest, and turned their guns to her as if to finish eliminating them. They froze when their beams seemingly didn’t have any effect, his partner seeming surprised as well. He laughed, “You fools! Behold my Fireproof Pecs!” He did another pose, accentuating his pecs before getting shot in them, again the beams striking skin and seeming to sizzle but no mark being left behind. He flexed a bicep and stated, “My heart burns hotter than anything you could produce, Machins.” As the robotic warriors tried to get their heads around what just happened, he ran directly at them. Acting on instinct, they continued to fire their beams and while clearly trying to avoid friendly fire, they kept missing their shots as he dove in and around their blows, striking them whenever their guards would drop for a moment. Eventually, he flipped onto the shoulders of one of them and twisted his body as he flipped off, a hard crack sounding out as all 180 pounds of him were applied at a very incorrect angle to their neck. Paralyzed or dead, Magnifico had made his point. The other Knights began to get some distance, and the sidekick seemed to recognize she was unprepared and found herself a hiding place for now. The major was thankful. The death was regrettable, but this was why the Vitticepta was being warned moments ago.

When the Falos officer turned to the major they simply shrugged and said, “By Falos law, this is allowed, or so I’ve been told.”
Growling dismissively at the major, the officer shouted at the small warrior, “My scales are stronger than any metal you possess. What hope do you stand, little ape?”
Magnifico smiled triumphantly and stated confidently, “I shall beat you, Scaled One!” The major was wondering how the human intended to accomplish that. By what they had seen so far, there was no way to win without using the weapons on hand, but this Magnifico didn’t seem to be looking for any. What glorious end would this small warrior meet? The Vitticepta motioned the warrior to strike him, as if offering him a free shot. The small warrior bowed thankfully. A moment later, he had jumped forward and grabbed the officer’s right hand. Doing an odd corkscrew he seemed to not only dislocate the dragon’s wrist completely but also had locked himself onto the arm and was continuing to apply pressure to the joint. The officer shrieked in total agony as the small warrior laughed, “You do not use a spear to pierce chainmail when a scalpel is better.” He seemed to increase the strain on the wrist immensely and almost cruelly. The screaming becoming more and more like torture. The major wondered if they should intervene, but remembered again about Falos law. That may have been a fun exchange but it was true. They were bound by law and since the Falos respect those with strength having the right to do as they please, this was simple dues for pushing these people around cruelly.
The dragon eventually collapsed completely, a broken mess from the pain. When the small warrior released him, he seemed to size the major up for their allegiance. The major sighed, “By Falos Law, you have committed no crime, but be aware that this will be taken as a sign of resistance anyway. I expect they will come to punish you.”
Magnifico nodded, “That is expected. If it was not me, it would be others. We shall see what becomes of this.”
The major nodded, “I don’t care for these abuses, but our own hands are tied. I wish you the best in seeking your own justice. I will continue to maintain the peace.”
Magnifico narrowed his eyes and said firmly, “You do what you value most, but a world without justice holds only the illusion of peace.” The officer nodded, as if knowing it was true, and left it alone, allowing the masked man and his companion to leave in peace. Once the attackers had probably gotten to a safe distance, the major pulled out their radio, “We need a medical evac. One of the humans attacked the Falos forces under Falos law. A man in a mask. One knight dead, commander is injured. Repeat, send med evac.”
