Prologue:

[[Leo]]Hello everyone my name is Leo as of right now I am eighteen and the second child of a two parent household, and my body is ready for college. But my heart still says game is life. As I come to the fact I want to play games I wonder if I can preorder that game before I get shipped off to college.

[[Then I recall what happened earlier]]

Literally about three hours ago there was a big announcement on the new that the U.S military has been working hand in hand with a private Video Game Company over the last ten years to bring the world the first second reality.

As I am scrolling down the article in my computer I see a link to a video.

[[I click it]] click!

As my body is waiting for the first glimpse of the video to be buffered I notice there is a comment session of people

giving out spoilers on what the video shows.

As I try to scroll down into spoiler heaven the video makes a rolling noise and scroll back up super-fast before spoiling myself before greatness. I pause the video very quickly so I can turn of the lights.

[

[ turn my nearby lamp off as  I click the switch]]

(A loud shudder noise fills the room.)

Then I get back into my swivel chair and proceed to click the video to play.

The beautiful High definition music plays out in the room, a big red title branded with the letters

[Emergence] pops up on the screen.

As it came it disappeared then once it fully disapitated from the screen a lush blue forest appears with various monsters roaming from tree to trunk to the lush grass on the ground.

Wait huh, blue? Why is it blue?

Wouldn't it usually be green lush forest and as I say that one of the monsters look up too see giant mass approaching from the sky.

A giant shadow is gleaming over all of forest and seconds later.

As quickly as it was noticed, it was quickly as it  disappeared  from their sight.

A large mind wrenching sonic boom was heard  and felt all across the world.

[[large deep voice]]This day was marked on the future calendar as the [[Great Impact]].

Seconds on seconds of wait and then it began the video showed in very fast graphic excerpts of many of the monsters around the world falling over and  being overcome by grayish aura , they begin to mutate into something this worlds people have never faced

Then their mind curdling screams of agony all threw out the video of grandparents, parents, and even children getting virtually slaughtered by the mutated monsters.

As the video is about to end the last minute shows the scene of a lone hero being shadowed in all grey fighting the monsters.

Then for the last twenty seconds the text on the screen read.

[[There are barely a million survivors left around the world. The ones that did survive this ordeal are of a different species from which they were before. Dwarves aren't themselves any more they have grown a foot taller, elves gained a significant boost to their already strong lifespan and have become more refined than ever, humans have had a boosted mental aptitude and gained access to new technologies, beast men have learned the power to transform]]

[[Then the video ends]]

I scroll down the page to look at the comments.

[[Random guy 1]] omg I am so going to buy this I heard it’s going to a world filled to the brim with magic and different techs.

[[Random guy 2]] where did you get that info from?

As I scroll down the page it’s more like people asking and answering their own questions and not that much information is being let out. So I exit the page to look for more info.

I come across a link that say they will be letting people pre order next month.

As I am reading I keep repeating  in my head “my body is ready, my body is ready’ about a million times.

[[Leo]] I log off to go tell my parents of the new game that is coming out they are big game fanatics.

Then I slowly think maybe this is why I’ve turned into so much of a game nerd.

As I’m telling my dad the news of everything he keeps nodding his head in astonishment of what saying to him.

Then his dad says, "son what do you think I do for a living? Its not like I just sit here every day reading manga and watching anime. I work at a private game company."

'when he said private game company, my mind plays back the memory of me reading the new article on this and it said, “Private Company”.' Since its in Leo's point of view.

As my mind begins to keep replaying this information in my head it connects two and two together. His dad interrupts his thinking by saying.

"son you do not have to worry about the game guess what as a going away present I already have the order pre-pre shipping to our house a bit early but the only thing with that is that you won't be able to do anything but make your character and name till the games countdown clock stops."

[[Leo]] he sighs but he is still happy so he accepts his new present.

[[Dad]] also your big brother is getting one too. So I hope you guys play along when it up.

As the conversation comes to a close Leo heads off to the kitchen to get a snack before taking a nap.

Author notes: Ill end it here since this is a one shot if people want me to write it more I will. But every week I will post a one shot of all of my ideas so that people can choose what they like for me to write on.ps I think I’ve gotten a bit better at writing.
