Chapter 1: Day of beginning

Well hello everyone its [leo] here im just checking in with my monthly wait on the new game emergence.

In my past time I have been reading  a lot of light novels.

Including good ones such as [Ark], [Moonlight sculptor] and various other vmmorpgs.

One thing I found out was common by reading is that the main character of the series usually can train in the real world and then whatever kind of martial arts he trained in can be honed in the virtual reality.

Well thinking that, I filled out a form regarding learning Karate at my local dojo down town.

I knew this was a big gamble but I just had to try it so as a down payment for a year of training

I paid a total of two hundred dollars as a onetime fee and twenty dollars a month recurring  for as long as I want.

In the contract it is stated that I can quit my contract at any time as long as I paid that months payment.

It was that day I started my hells training.

Later down the road I can say two weeks in I was feeling that I could possibly form and do the steps correctly  as I have been taught it wasn’t as perfect as the master but it was good enough so that I can start on the basic thrusts and kicks.

It was in this repeated notion every day I would either practice my basic form or I would practice hitting a dummy. In between these exercises I also performed pushups and sit ups. These repetitious actions were very tiring for me and it was at this time a month into my training my dojo master decided that I would need a break and I could rest for the weekend instead of training all day.

When he said that I had sparkles in my eyes for having such a gentle teacher. I had made my way home after packing up my work out clothes.

It was about one pm when I got home I was so tired I collapsed on the pull out couch and just laid there for a few hours.

I slowly fell asleep to the sounds of the air conditioner [ac].

When I woke up later that day around five pm my parents were home  and my mother was cooking dinner while I was just relaxing.

My dad was relaxing right across from me and what I didn’t notice was that the whole time he was there he was looking at the work that has to be done on his computer.

Then when he sees me wake up, he says [Dad] oh honey look the sleepy head just woke up I wish I could just sleep all day, but you know what us parents have to work all day to feed this extra mouth.

Then my dad activates the special parenting skill: guilt trip (this skill is used to goad children of their loin to feel sympathy for that parent so that they can have someone to talk about their problems)

[Dad] ugh I wish I could just lazy around you don’t know how hard it is, just to wake up every morning too read thousands of worded coding for work omg. You have it so easy son.

(Constant complaining) [[blah blah blah blah]]

After that last sentence I started to zone him out till I kept hearing [[blah blah blah]] continuously.

Then my mom cuts in and tells my father to just shut up he is ruining the mood right now while she is cooking. She tells him I do not want to hear another complaint come from you till dinner is finished.

Then as that part of the conversation is over I ask dad if there is anything new going on about the game and he says that there isn’t going to be an official beta test and that even though he is getting his gear early the only ones testing will be official gamers hired by the company will be able to play but they won’t have a necessarily a lead on the growth other than a bit of the knowledge of the surrounding area and various missions.

As he said that my heart sunk that I wouldn’t get to play the game first before everyone but I would have to play at the same time as everyone else.

Well since I can’t play till then I might as well just train and look at videos till then.

Another few weeks pass by……..

As  I am getting used to training every day I am starting to see an outline of muscles around my body with my shirt off.

Omg these well-toned abs and pecks and as I say that my mother walks in ask have I been working out lately or something. But what she doesn’t know is that I have been working out at a dojo to learn martial arts so my reactions can be better.

Then I tell her I have been going to a dojo to learn martial arts to be better in the game.

[[mom]]She thinks for a second and says um, Leo dear you do know that any thing you do in the real world has no effect on the body in the true virtual reality.

When she says that my mind goes blank, I began to remember all the money I have been spending for the last two months and the two hundred dollars, I will never get back the twenty dollars I have already paid this month.

I immediately just sit and contemplate life………. For a few minutes. In that time my mother leaves my cloths she actually came in here to bring me before i had this little epiphany ( I think I spelled it right).

[[leo]] I let out a big sigh, as my two hundred and forty dollars have just gone down the drain.

Then another question pops into my head if I can’t get stronger outside the game then what makes me diffract from everyone else.

Then the worst crisis since the announcement of the game floats in my head im going to be a noon a damn noob like what am I to do with my life I won’t get special missions because ill be like everyone else. I’ll have to do the same crummy missions as everyone else. I’ll just be normal.

Then as the realness over comes me I say “I’ll just have to be better than normal then”.

As I wait it out I have already had lunch today so I am currently full. I also am currently using the restroom and I am getting ready to just get inside the game. So as too waste more time before the start in a few minutes I just walk slowly back to my room and at that time I hear a countdown coming from my head gear. Then I lay down to get in a more comfortable position.

I slide the head gear onto my head and just wait for the countdown to finish.

Ominous voice: “ unidentified  brain waves have been scanned, would you like to make a new character.”

[Leo]” yes”

“voice has also been scanned to confirm you have not registered as of yet”

As I am waiting for another reply after then scan, the voice asks “ what would you like to be your username.”

Leo……..with confidence in my voice.

“that name has not been chosen, so it is available as of now.”

Then as the voice takes me away I am surrounded by a lot of light  and before a transparent window floats in my eyesight lines.

The serene voice from earlier asks me

It reads do you want to customize your character, and right before I even press anything the buttons for facial features disappears.

I curse inside my head by wondering why tf can’t I change how I look then in very little letters it says if people want to change their facial features other than changing hair color and eye color you will not be able to change it until you meet the requirements within the game.

Ps. all you ugly people play as you are at least people will be able to see you as you are instead of those over used photo shop avatars everyone was hoping to get. Have a nice day muhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaha

I have nothing else to do so I change my eyes to purple rings with little black dots going around them and change my already black hair to medium purple and black. I am satisfied with the blue  then as my basic outline is done I choose my race from one of the main races.

Then as I’m scrolling through the benefits for each race I think to myself  why should I play as a elf, dwarf, or beast man it’s a bit too over used. The same can be said about the half races it’s a bit too overuse.  Then I think to myself I might as well choose being a human they have  the best intelligence stat.

I say out loud “I choose human.”

I wait for the system response {“all I hear is welcome to emegence” and in the next moment I land head first in to a nearby rabbits horn. Squish as the horn goes right to my head, I am instantly “K.O”.

Well that was the worst way to die

I am instantly logged out into a lobby like area. I am currently wondering why I am not outside the game as in logged completely out then a voice appears in my. “Omg, we have forgotten to issue you your unique magic before you were sent to the other world. Well since you died so quickly well let you form your own skill.”

Then I slowly contemplate if I get my own unique skill that means ill be ahead of everyone.

I already has a skill in mind and I choose “ Pressure Manipulation”
