So I was originally going to have an April Fools chapter today. I eventually decided against it. Why am I posting this anyway you ask? Because I'd like to summarized what was going to happen in this chapter.
For this chapter I had two things I considered. The first was going 'back in time' to when Crimson met Raften the Overseer and having him ask for 'all maxed elemental affinities' which would have been OP as all out. Crimson would have been almost literally immortal. Why? Because of how I've set up affinities. The highest possible 'affinity' for an element is called "Bound." So it would be set up like this:
----------------------------------------
Affinities List:
Bound to the Affinity of [Fire]
Bound to the Affinity of [Water]
Bound to the Affinity of [Earth]
Bound to the Affinity of [Wind]
----------------------------------------
Etc. I'm too lazy to write them all for a Joke chapter.
In this world being 'Bound' is like eating a Logia Devil Fruit in the anime One Piece. You body becomes comprised of the Element (Special rules for Dynamic Affinities) and it doesn't take any MP to use spells from 'Bound' Elements. (MP is different from Mana)
Being "Bound to the Affinity of [____]" is a VERY rare occurance in this world and it comes with some serious downsides: you can't have any other affinities and the paired affinity is set as an 'Antithesis' which means you can't use that affinity, period.
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Crimson would have to follow those rules as well so he would get a skill called [Archetype Modification] to swap between the affinities and set one as his 'primary.'
This would make Crimson OP to the point where he wouldn't need a class (he'd still get one anyway).
Cliche after Cliche would then occur. He would marry Rhinese and five or so other women to poke fun at the fact that I keep saying that this won't be a harem novel and then he would conquer 'every' dungeon in the world, get the best weapons, skills, armor, etc.
LENA WOULD NOT EXIST.
The whole thing would end 'jokingly' after Crimson unites all the kindoms and 'convinces' (violently) that one kindgom of Racists to play nice with the other races and kingdoms. All Hail Emperor Crimson! Huzzah!
The second idea I had for an april fools chapter is something I said that I'd avoid. Crimson would challenge the 'gods.' It would follow more of the current timeline mixed with the other april fools timeline I mentioned. The things that change from the current time line is that his 'Blessed Luck' title would make all the best possible drops, drop, from enemies every time. He'd keep getting the 'ritual' drops from bosses and would increase his affinities. It would also be discovered that those 'ritual' drops would also be able to level skills, he'd max all his skills and evolve them to the point where his skills are overpoweringly OP.
His Primary Class would be called [WorldBreaker] and it would grant 5 stat points to every stat per level up blah blah blah he kills all the 'gods' blah blah blah becomes the 'god' of this world blah blah blah Harem ending.
Anyway I wanted to write an April Fools chapter because it seems like all the 'cool' authors write them, but I don't have time to write a full one so you get these plot summaries for the two I thought of. Keep in mind that most of what's in this chapter is a joke and won't come up in the story, but that is MOST of the things in this plot summary. Some of the stuff involving the system that was mentioned will be implimented in the story.
There is a 'Bound' strength to the affinity and 'ritual drops' do exist. I've already mentioned the second one either directly or indirectly in the main story and I've mentioned affinities, but I have only mentioned them just no details. Yet.
