Chapter 5: The Beginning of a Dungeon

Chapter 5: The Beginning of a Dungeon

We had been walking a few hours now and it's only gotten brighter and warmer, thankfully the trees gave us shade but it was still hot, I took off my hoodie revealing my sweaty day's old t-shirt. In the corner of my eye, I see a building of some kind and tell Luna to head toward the building but stay hidden while we approach the building.

I could get a more precise view of it, it was a stone building with a light blue tint and looked around 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall, we looked at the building circling around it until we got to the other side, there had been no windows and at the front, there was a giant castle-like door, when we approach the door the air had noticeably gotten cold as if it was winter although the sun with still out, I was slightly shivering, thankfully I could wrap my sweater around myself to keep warm, getting closer only got colder but my curiosity was too intense and I wanted to see what was inside, opening the door made a gust of freezing wind burst out making the grass and trees start to form icicles and a screen to pop open.

Enter Dungeon? Rank C- Rewards: Spatial Room Magic

"Hmmm... Spatial Magic does sound cool but what do you think girl we should enter this dungeon?" I ask looking down towards the icy wolf shaking off the small icicles,

she looks at me and gives me an approving "Arrrf"

"Alright that's let's try to beat this dungeon," I say stepping into the frigid dungeon

As I step into the dungeon when we suddenly start to get lifted into the air as a blue light suddenly blinds me, when my eyes readjust I notice that we're no longer in the stone building we're outside but in a different location, there was a giant castle in front of us and behind us was a stone door frame with a solid spinning spiral filling it which I assume was a portal back.

Looking back at the castle the walls were made of weird white-bluish stones, and the door wasn't made of wood but some type of blue metal,

I started walking towards the giant metal door trying to figure out a way to open it or at least get into the castle when suddenly the floor started shaking, the whole area was shaking knocking me on my ass as the metal doors started to creak until they finally slowly opened, a thick mist started to pour out making it look like a villain would emerge like in the movies.

In the mist I saw a golden glimmer as the mist slowly poured out towards the wall of mist surrounding the castle, the sun like glimmer started to approach me revealing a suit of armor covered in beautiful golden markings that made the armor attract my eyes,

'Oh shit, I'm gonna have to fight that aren't I?'

As I stepped forward into the castle, I suddenly felt a cold breeze and heard the sound of metal clashing. I turned around to see the golden armored figure standing up and unsheathing a sword.

"Traveler, you must prove your worthiness by defeating my royal knight in battle," a voice said, as the suit of armor tossed a sword towards me and took a fighting stance.

I was taken aback, not expecting to have to fight before I even entered the castle. Nevertheless, I knew I had to do what it took to move forward. I picked up the silver sword as the golden armored figure charged towards me, sword raised. I blocked the attack, the sound of metal ringing in my eyes. We exchanged blows, clashing our swords repeatedly. I was struggling to keep up, but I knew I couldn't give up after all, how would I be able to kill the Demon Queen and return home to play Ember Moon if I couldn't even kill a single enemy. I swung my sword with all my might, managing to land a hit on the armor's shoulder, the golden armored figure staggered back, but it quickly recovered and continued the attack. We fought on, me using my quick reflexes and my scrawny body to dodge oncoming attacks.

As the battle continued, the air around us crackled with energy. The clash of our swords echoed throughout the area, the sound growing louder and more intense with each passing moment. The sky above us darkened. With a sudden burst of energy, the golden armored figure charged towards me again, its sword glinting in the dim light. I blocked the attack, but this time I could feel the force of the strike shaking my entire body. The suit of armor swung again, its movements becoming faster and more erratic.

I realized then that I was in a fight for my life, and that the outcome of this battle would determine my fate. I dug deep within myself, summoning every ounce of strength and courage I had, and with a fierce cry, I launched myself towards the golden armored figure.

Our swords met with a deafening crash, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. The air around us crackled with energy as we fought, our movements becoming a blur of steel and gold. Sparks flew from our swords as we clashed, illuminating the area around us with a fiery glow.

Suddenly, with a burst of energy, I managed to land a powerful blow on the armor's chest, causing it to stumble backward. For a moment, it seemed as though the golden armored figure would fall, but with a mighty roar, it regained its footing and charged towards me once more.

As the battle raged on, the golden armored figure proved to be a challenging opponent, its movements fluid and precise. It seemed to anticipate every one of my moves, countering them with ease. Despite my best efforts, I found myself struggling to keep up with its speed and skill.

As we clashed, I could feel my strength waning, my arms growing heavy and my movements becoming sluggish. I knew I couldn't keep this up for much longer, that if I didn't find a way to turn the tide of the battle soon, I would be defeated.

With a fierce cry, I launched myself towards the golden armored figure, my sword raised high. The suit of armor met me head-on, its sword slashing through the air with deadly precision. I blocked the attack, the force of it nearly knocking me off my feet.

For a few moments, we stood there, locked in a deadly dance of steel and gold. The sound of our swords grew louder and more intense with each passing moment. With a sudden burst of adrenaline, I managed to land a powerful blow on the armor's shoulder, causing it to stagger backward. I seized the opportunity, launching a series of attacks that forced the suit of armor back even further.

But just when it seemed as though victory was within my grasp, the golden armored figure launched a surprise attack, its sword striking my own with incredible force. I could feel the shockwaves reverberating through my body, the impact sending me reeling backward.

For a moment, it seemed as though the battle was lost, that I would be defeated by this powerful opponent. But then, with a fierce determination burning in my heart, I launched myself towards the golden armored figure once more, my sword flashing in the dim light.

With a final, thunderous clash, I managed to land the winning blow, sending the golden armored figure crashing to the ground. For a few moments, I stood there, panting and covered in sweat, my heart pounding in my chest.

But then, as the adrenaline started to wear off, I realized that in the battle my hoodie had been lightly slashed several times almost reaching my torso.

the strange voice echoed through the hall once more. "Very well, traveler. You have proven your worthiness. You may enter the castle and claim its secrets."

With a deep breath, I stepped over the fallen suit of armor and into the castle as Luna followed closely behind me.
