Staring at the white leather gloves, Ken asked himself “What enchantments should I forge onto these gloves?” Looking at the materials stocked on the shelves of the Enchantment Table, he thought about all the enchantments his Grandma had taught him.
“Hmmmm… they have Luma crystals, Ora stones, and Lakro feathers… with that, I should be able to forge a Mana Drain enchantment onto these gloves.”
The magic circle drawn on the face of the table had 5 smaller circles surrounding it. Acting as five points where materials are placed for synchronization.
Ken grabbed two Luma crystals and placed them on two of the smaller circles across each other. He then grabbed two Ora stones and placed them on the two small bottom circles near each other. Finally, he placed a single Lakro feather on the single small circle at the top. The first step for the forge was now done, all the materials were set in place surrounding the magic circle.
Ken grabbed a small brush from the table. Its tip glowing white. Using the brush, he painted the Dwarven runic sign for 'Drain' on top of the right Ora stone, and on the left stone he painted 'Restore'.
“Alright, now for the formula.”
Placing the brush down, Ken hovered his right hand over the pair of gloves, releasing some of his mana into the magic circle. In doing so, the magic circle drawn on the table started to glow blue. Removing his hand, a blank mana screen appeared in front of him.
“A mana screen? This must be where I write down the formula. How very cool. The model I had back at home was so old that I had to write the formal on a scroll and feed it to the fable. This mana screen is far more convenient.”
Picking the brush up once again, he began to write down the formula for each of the materials he was using on the mana screen. It was like a mathematician writing up an equation. Ken wrote the formula in two separate languages. The first was the language of dwarfs; K’dural. The second was Argath, the common tongue– English.
Writing a formula in two separate languages, and finding the answer to the formula, would take the average person 10-30 minutes, but Ken was able to get it done within 5 minutes. With the formula done, all that was left was to bind the enchantments into the pair of gloves.
He placed both his palms over the mana screen, before releasing his mana. The mana screen descended onto the pair of gloves, making them float a few inches. The two Luma crystals, as well as the Ora stones and Lakro feathers, began to glow, slowly evaporating into dust-like particles, fusing into the gloves.
The gloves shined blue, before revealing a new appearance, with feathers adoring it. Placing both of his palms together, Ken finished the forge, with the binding incantation.
“Ars.”
With that, Ken was done. looking around everyone else was just about finishing up. Some time passed and everyone was finally done with their forging.
"Well done everyone!" Enra said in a gleeful tone. "One at a time I will call all of you up, and you will come down and explain as well as display the capabilities of your enchantment."
One at a time, Professor Enra called out student names to come display their creation. Some students gave their gloves certain elemental resistance, some gave their gloves a different type of defense mechanism, and there were even gloves that fired off fireworks and other entertainment properties.
"Hanako Sakura," Enra called out.
"Y-yes.." Hanako answered.
Hanako stood up and walked downstairs to the front, facing everyone. Having so many eyes on her wasn't easy for her. All she wanted to do was abandon class and run back to her dorm. But seeing Ken’s encouraging smile, helped to calm her nerves a little. Which was enough to force herself through this.

"H-Hello everyone," Hanako didn't know where to look with so many people’s gaze focused on her, so naturally her gaze quickly fell to the pair of gloves in her hand, which she fidgeted with.
"Ummm… my glove has h-h-healing properties… I’m able to heal a-anything in… a f-fifteen-meter r-r-radius."
“Let's test that out shall we?” With a snap of her finger, a colorless crystal orb appeared floating, 14 meters above Hanako. “That orb will fill up with blue mana, depending on how well you heal it. Show us what your enchantment is made of,” said Enra
Nodding her head, Hanako put her gloves on. Putting her palms together in a prayerful motion, she closed her eyes. The gloves started to shine a warm light green color. Raising both her hands of the Orb above her, the enchantments forged on her glove began to take effect. The orb began to glow, and slowly mana began to fill within it just like Enra said it would.
After a couple of minutes, Hanako opened her eyes. The enchantment in her gloves stopped, and the orb was filled with mana a little over the halfway mark.
Looking up at the orb, Enra was amazed at the results of Hanako’s enchantment. “That was quite the enchantment, Miss Sakura. Well done, I hope to see more of you.”
With a smile, Hanako gave a slight head bowl. “Th-Thank You.” Hanako quickly returned to her seat.
“You did great Hanako.” Ken cheered.
“Yeah, your enchantment was well forged.” Katherine chipped in.
“Thank You, v-very much,” Hanako replied
A couple more names were called out before Enra called out “Katherine Locket.”
Walking downstairs, Katherine faced everyone. Ready to display her enchantment.
“....I've forged deconstruction enchantments on my gloves. With a simple touch, I can break down any construction spell.”
“Interesting.” With a simple hand gesture, Enra conjured an Ice wolf construct a few meters in front of Katherine. “Let's see how well your Enchantments do against a construct such as this.”
The wolf construct let out a growl, before it leaped towards Katherine, ready to strike her down. Katherine didn't flinch, she stood firm, readying for the right moment to activate her enchantment. Once the ice construct came into range, she quickly moved into action, raising her right hand towards the incoming ice beast. Her glove began to shine an orange color. Once her fingertip reached the beast her enchantment immediately activated, deconstructing the ice wolf into nothing.
The other students spectating were all impressed, murmuring amongst each other.
Talking over the chatter, Enra praised her students. “A fast-working deconstruction enchantment that works with just one touch. Your forging skills are refined, well done Miss. Locket.”
“Thank You, professor,” said Katherine, before she returned to her seat.
“That was a well-forged enchantment,” Ken said looking at Katherine
“Yeah, j-just looking at it… I can tell y-you’re very skilled.” Hanako added
“It was nothing...”
“Next up, Ken Granfold.”
Ken grabbed His gloves and walked down to the front. "The enchantment I've forged to my gloves is mana drain and Restore.” Putting on his gloves, Ken continued to explain the properties of his enchantment.
“Wearing these gloves, I can drain a good amount of mana from anyone I make physical contact with, and use the stored mana to restore my own or someone else's."
Snapping her fingers, Enra summoned a crystal orb in front of the young man. "This is a great magic orb. It's filled with large amounts of mana. Let's test exactly how much mana your enchantment can drain."
Grabbing the great mana orb with both hands, his gloves immediately activated. The enchantment began to drain all the mana out of the orb. It took only one minute to drain the orb dry, making it colorless.
Seeing a great mana orb be drained so quickly, dumbfounded everyone, including Professor Enra. Ken then returned the mana he had stored in his gloves, turning the great mana orb blue once again.
"That was amazing… No, that was spectacular! A Great Mana Orb has enough juice to power up an entire city block for several days, and you drained it in one minute. Well done young man, this is outstanding craftsmanship."
"Thank you, professor! But it's a one-time use enchantment." Ken’s gloves were filled with several holes, and the feathers adoring it were burnt off.
“Nonetheless, it was an amazing enchantment, keep it up, young man.”
Ken took his glove off, going back to his seat.
“That was a g-greate enchantment,” said Hanako
“You must have had a great teacher, your forge skills are impressive,” said Katherine
“Thank You, and yes, my Grandma was very strict with her training.” Ken nervously chuckled.
