Ken stood in front of a large mirror in his room. Observing how he looked in the Academy Uniform that he found in his dresser. The uniform consists of a white long-sleeved button-up shirt, with a red tie, black pants, and boots. To complete the outfit, he wore a short red cloak with a white trim, which hung past his elbow. On the cloak was the Academy emblem.
“These are really comfortable.”
Looking at the mage robe in his dresser. Ken pondered if he should wear that also, “Maybe another time.”
Looking to his left, Ken spotted his desk, “I was too tired last night to notice, but this room has a really nice work table.”
Near his bed is a large table, adoring many draws. Carved into the face of the table is a large magic circle that can be used for many different forms of research. On the edge of the table, are several mini shelves meant to store items that can be used to further aid in research.
“With a table like that, research into magic will be a lot easier.”
Making his way out of his room and down into the living space. Everyone was busy eating or leaving to start their first official day at the academy.
“Wow, is this how it's going to be every morning?”
“Everyone is in a rush to Academy Square,” Silva spoke.
“Why is that?”
“to sign up for classes.”
“How does that work?”
“There is no point in me explaining it. Eat breakfast and head over there yourself.” Silva said before walking into the kitchen.
Ken sat at the dining table and picked from the many different breakfast options to eat from. He ate as quickly as possible, all he was thinking about was the many classes he could sign up for.
“G-Good Morning, Ken…” Hanako said, approaching her friend.
“Morning Hanako. Hope you slept well.”
“I did, th-thank you. Hmmm… if you like… I can sh-show you around… Academy Square…”
“You know your way around the academy already?”
“W-Well… only a little. Those who g-graduated from; Elenora’s School of Magicka… had a walkthrough of the class zone…”
“In that case, I’d be happy to have you guide me.”
Ken quickly ate his fill, and headed off, following Hanako to Academy Square. Academy Square is where all students from every year level gather.
Looking around, Ken was blown away by his surroundings. Academy Square was like a city. “Is this really an academy? It looks like I'm in Belthon City… but smaller.”
“It's recognized as a small city. If we go outside of the class z-zone… and into the shopping and e-entertainment zone… there are roads for students to drive on… and its own public transport system.” Hanako explained.
“This is only the Class Zone, but there is so much going on. It's so lively… amazing!”
Ken’s reaction brought a soft smile to Hanako’s face. “You really are… a-amazed at everything.”
"Why wouldn't I be? Being around so many people my age excites me. It gets me pumped!"
"So, where do you want to go first?"

"I want to go everywhere! But right now, I think I want to check out the classes. I want to see what subjects there are, so I can sign up for them."
"That's a good idea. Follow me, I'll show y-you where all the class timetables are…" Hanako said as she walked through the crowd.
They soon arrive at the center of the Class Zone. Where three giant mana screens floated above the crowd of people that occupied the area. Listed on the screens, were all the different subjects students could sign up for. They were all neatly laid out, making it easy to read.
"Woah... So many classes to choose from!" Ken gasped. "I wonder if I can sign up for every class… although that would be very hard to manage, and I probably won't have any free time.”
"Why don't we start with just three first?" Hanako suggested. She admired Ken's eager energy.
"Yeah, you're right. Okay, let's start with… Ummm… I want to study Forgers Enchantment." Ken said, pointing at it, on the screen.
"...Okay, n-now take your student cell out, and f-focus its camera at the barcode next to it."
Ken took out his cell and did as Hanako instructed. Once he scanned the small barcode located next to the subject title, a small notification popped up on his screen.
[Download free Classroom App]
Ken clicked the link below the notification, and a new icon appeared on His screen. The icon was that of a book, and underneath it, said [Classroom].
“Sweet!”
"There, now you have been automatically signed up. W-Whenever there is a class for that subject, y-you will get a notification ahead of time, allowing you to p-prepare for said class." Hanako explained
"Ohhhh how very cool". Ken opened the classroom app and it was empty with only one subject being available.
[Forgers Enchantment. class 1A].
"Class 1A?"
“It… s-seems like we are in the s-same class,” Hanako said with a smile.
Hearing this, put an even bigger smile on Ken’s face. "wow! Looks like the Goddess of fate is smiling upon me"
*Bing!*
Both of their cells rang at the same time, showing a notification on their screen.
[F.E. class in 20 minutes. Be on time!]
“For my second subject. I'll pick Arcane Theory. As for my third pick, I'll go with History of Magicka.”
Ken repeated the process of scanning the barcode, and just like that, two more subjects appeared in his classroom app.
“Now with that out of the way. Why don't we head to class?” said Ken.
“B-But we still have 20 minutes to spare.”
“I know. But I’d like to see what the classroom looks like. This Academy looks to be swimming in money, so I'm guessing the Forgers table they use is top-notch.”
“Oh, okay then… I’ll lead the w-way.”
Ken followed Hanako through the crowd of students, heading towards their classroom building. But their stride was stopped by a group of other students.
Leading the group was Josh Retin. The rich candidate, Ken, had a run-in during the Entrance Exams.
“So we meet again, you lowly commoner” Josh carried a smug look.
“And… who are you?” Ken asked.
A ‘Lowly Commoner’ not remembering his name, only ticked him off. Josh took a step closer to Ken. “Don’t you remember me from the courtyard? During the Entrance Exams?!”
Ken stayed quiet for a few seconds. Then it came to him. “Oh, you're that rich scum I caged up.”
Clicking his teeth, Josh grumbled. “You got lucky that's all!”
“If calling it ‘Luck’ helps you cope, then by all means call it whatever you want.”
“You cocky bastard! I'll prove you were only lucky! I challenge you to a duel!”
Ken carried a straight face, not interested in Josh’s offer. “Nah, I'll pass.”
“Why? Are you scared? You talked up a big game during the Welcoming Assembly about being number 1, so fight me. Or was all that just talk?”
“Graduating at the very top of this academy is inevitable. You, however, aren't worthy of being a stepping stone for me to reach the top. I gain nothing from fighting you.”
Angered by Ken’s words, Josh grabbed him by his cloak, invading his personal space. Gritting his teeth, he continued to growl, “What the hell did you say filth! I've spent millions of dollars to get the best of the best training. I won't let someone like you look down on me!”
Jumping in to try and ease the tension, Hanako said, “Ummm… p-please settle down, this is a no d-dueling… area.”
Clicking his teeth, Josh backed off. “This isn't the end of it.” With that, Josh and his little henchmen walked off.
“A-are you okay?” Hanako’s question was filled with concern.
“Yeah, I'm fine. Nothing to worry about. Thank you for stepping in.” Ken replied with a soft smile.
“We are f-friends… so it's no p-problem.”
“I'm glad to hear that. Now, let's head off to class. I want to check out the table before class begins.”
