“Shit, shit… what the fuck is that guy?” cursed a man under his breath, hobbling away from the giant amount of rubble a couple metres back…
He had been hiding underground, but then the bounty hunter chasing him blasted the entire area to bits, leaving this Rogue Sage to limp away, hoping he wasn’t seen escaping to the other side of this tree by-
“Hey, why are you even trying to run? You weren’t exactly subtle with your escape you know?” The man paled turning his head upwards, seeing the giant standing in the tree, axe valiantly resting on his shoulder as he looked at the Rogue Sage.
“M-m-monster!” the Rogue Sage stumbled forward, trying to stand and run, only for a spike made of Ice to go straight through his calf, prompting the man to fall to the ground screaming in pain while the dark skinned man in the tree frowned, dropping to the floor with a boom.
“Hey, I had him!” Bobby Dore, the Tyrant of Elem High’s last graduating class, called out to his partner, seeing her roll her eyes at his words.
“So, you were just hoping he would fight back right? He’s only a four Star Sage that caused trouble near Nairobi before running off. Bag him and let’s get out of this damn savannah.” Vera Harvey complained, naturally…
Bobby could camp out and survive with nothing for weeks, he had already done as much during his second year in Elem High…
After he was legally dead for a week he finally showed up in Berlin in nothing but a loincloth made of animal skin, looking like a stereotypical example of an African savage.
He just laughed about it before fixing his appearance and going on with life.
Unlike Bobby though, Vera was still a woman, and she quite enjoyed things that most took for advantage, such as shelter, a bed, bug spray, a shower, television, an actual connection to the internet, a charging cable-
The idea was stated.
“Alright, alright, let me just get this guy captured properly…” Bobby stated, walking up to the Rogue Sage who was still trying to crawl away, lifting his massive axe and poking the man with the lightning arcing between its two points.

His axe was essentially a giant Taser after all, so he used it as one from time to time if he felt like it, holding out his hand and creating some Mithril after a few moments of concentrating, shaping the High Metal into a pair of handcuffs and locking the Rogue Sage’s wrists together.
“You took so long… plus, with the noise you made-” Vera was still busy complaining when a loud roar came from a couple metres away, drawing the eyes of the two Sages that were still awake, seeing a red lion glaring at them.
“Four Stars… it feels a bit stronger than us.” Vera pointed out, not at all worried despite the strength difference, recognizing the Lion as a Fire Element Mystic Beast.
“So what if it is stronger, it is merely another thing to be conquered!” Bobby laughed, concentrating his Essence in front of him.
A massive bear appeared in front of Bobby, roaring in challenge against the lion, its limbs metallic and having a natural saddle of metal while the rest of its yellow fur sparked with lightning.
Looking at his Manifestation, Vera just sighed, knowing that Bobby wasn’t going to leave until he fought the lion.
“Charge!” Bobby roared, jumping onto his bear, the bear rushing forward at the lion with a roar on its own, matching its owner.
Vera on the other hand, decided to just watch, knowing that Bobby didn’t exactly like being helped when he was focusing on a fight the way he was doing currently.
Unfortunately Vera heard more growls, looking and seeing quite a few silvery hyena’s getting closer to her, their laughs sounding metallic as they gathered around her, looking to be around five or six of them, all weaker than her but possibly at the max point of a three Star Mystic Beast, the largest one even a four Star.
“Looks like I can’t even rest while Bobby vents out his frustrations… that’s annoying.” Vera admitted, focusing her own Essence, a spear appearing in her hand and armour forming over her chest area…
This was just a simple fight between some Mystic Beasts and two Sages who just so happened to be bounty hunting at the time.
The result of this fight would be their victory, although the Rogue Sage they were hunting would be dead by the time the fight finished actually, meaning the bounty they were going to get would be less than they could have gotten, prompting Vera to be even angrier at Bobby.
This would translate to an interesting night while Vera attempted to get rid of her… frustrations with Bobby.
Not that he minded… the Tyrant wondered if she even noticed that he intentionally riled her up so that she’d be a bit more frisky later.
Eh, she’d figure it out eventually, he was sure.
This was just another day for the Tyrant, he wasn’t really doing anything world changing right now in this stage of his life…
But hey, everyone is the main character of his own story, and Bobby was busy moving from one chapter to the next…
This was just an Interlude in the life of the Tyrant.
